Okay. So I've updated to 4.4.3 last week and have noticed that when playing music I can adjust the volume in Google play music. But after 1-2 songs it suddenly plays full blast on loud and I am unable to adjust the volume. Meaning adjusting does nothing. Continual full blast. Anyone have any suggestions to fix this? Thank you in advance.

Is anyone experiencing something similar or have any ideas for a solution? I reflashed the firmware...same result.

I have a volume issue as well. Sometimes when trying to adjust my ringer volume, it wont. I press the volume up or down buttons and nothing happens. A reboot fixes it though, but still annoying that it wont work when it should.
Just using the built in speaker or is it headphones? If headphones, are they bluetooth?

Did you use other players? I am using Gonemad Music Player and don't have this issue.

I only use the Google Play music app as I stream my music through that. I do not have any other music apps installed. Volume seems to work when playing games or youtube videos
Then try previous versions of Google Play Music. Maybe it's app bug.
I previously mentioned that I already tried that. Same issue.

Sometimes when i am listening to music the left channel will short out on my headphones. Going on and off.... would this be a software problem by any chance?

Are you sure your headphone cord isn't the problem by trying it in another source and swinging it around?
Sorry if this seems like an insulting question, just checking the easy answer.

You know, i get that regardless of what music player i use, were the music is stored (i.e. internal or externally), what ROM i am on, or what format my music is in. It is irritating, to say the least.

Running Liquid Smooth v2.8 and loving this ROM! I'm having a problem though with streaming music from Pandora or on device music through Apollo to my car's bt stereo. I don't think it matters what App is used. About once or twice per song the music timing skips. No beeps or glitch sounds, almost like the audio accelerates for a split second or a split second is cut out from the song and the playback position jumps. I was told in the Liquid Smooth development forum that this may be an AOSP issue and to post here for help. Anyone else experience this?

Anyone use this app with their N5? O can't get any song to buffer and play.
On my HTC One (4.3) works flawlessly.
Any help appreciated.

I'm an idiot. Found out prob is in setting need to go to song not playing and switch to V2.
On a side note i use Monster DNA over ear head phones. The HTC One is 2X louder than the N5. But for casual listening is just fine.
May need external amp for using with loud speakers. Not sure.

If I play any music off my phone I used to use the Miui Music player on my old phone (Xperia PLAY), but now on the Nexus 5 I use the Walkman music player. Although if I want to listen to all my music collection from home I use the pogoplug app and stream any music or movies from home server to where ever I am.
