Craigs List app for Android
Yup another craigs list app. Whats the difference with this one... it works.
If you havent noticed there are a lot of good apps on the play store but few of them get updated enough and some dont even work at all.
This is my solution.
Please try it out and give me some input.

Thanks Android Police.
Whats new:
You now have the Installed and All tabs you can swipe between. The former one is what we used to have before - it lists all apps installed on your device. The latter lists all apps you've ever installed in case you want to download them again or travel down the memory lane. This is quite handy, and I've seen this list before in the Play Store on the web, so it's great to get it here in the mobile app.
The All tab contains a handy dropdown with all your accounts (if you added more than one) and lets you switch between them very easily (as opposed to clicking Menu, etc).
The list of apps you have purchased but uninstalled or haven't installed yet has moved to the All tab... which means it's now mixed in with the free apps you no longer have on the device. I'm not sure how I feel about that - on one hand, I like that it's gone from the first list, but ideally there should be a way to filter paid apps from free in the All list. Maybe someday...
A few of the stock apps that apparently never got linked to the Play Store before got identified and picked up this time, and updates to such orphans were waiting for me when I fired the Store up. I've complained about this very bug in my last rant, and it looks like someone listened.
Just like in the web Play Store:
- reviews now show the device used by the reviewer
- reviews can now be sorted by Most Helpful first or Newest first
- you can now filter reviews to show ones for the latest version of the app as well as made by only the device you are using
hahahahaha....I always love threads like this, they'll be about 100 of these by the end of the day!
Also you should search before posting ESPECIALLY with a thread like this.....

Your device is not compatible with the version

Running and ICS / CM9 ROM on my Kindle Fire.
"Your device is not compatible with the version" when trying to download Fandango Movies for Tablets from Google Play.
If somebody would post the APK, that would be fantastic!
If somebody would explain why I get this message for this app and other apps on Google, play I would appreciate it. Is it resolution or LCD density? It would be nice of Google to give an explanation of the "not compatible" reason
Thanks!
I don't know this particular forum's rules in regards to posting "free" apks but the reason has something to do with the build.prop file and the fact google play does not recognize the kindle fire as compatible device because "technically" you shouldn't be able to access the Google Play store. A quick google search for "fandango tablet apk" yielded many positive results and you could always side load it until someone else that knows the rules better for this particular section posts and the apk.
I'm pretty sure its OK to post free apks, and yes a search brings up many links for fandango tablet app but they are all links to the play store. I am also interested in this apk if someone can post it.
Good luck with this. I wasted my time finding the APK for HBO Go yesterday, even backtracking versions. At the end of the day, it really wasn't compatible and would not run.
Also running CM9 on the Kindle, for whatever that is worth.

good to know about HBO go, but many apps that say not compatible do work, like NFL for tablets and USA today etc. So its worth a shot.

[Q] apps on sale alert

is there anyway to set-up alerts for apps on sale at either Play or Amazon apps?
There's AppSales, but it's only for Google Play.

well that's something.
Uh oh!! Your Appsale link doesn't work anymore. Is there anything else? I'm curious about this too. I want to get NFS: Most Wanted on sale. LoL!!
And there was no way for me to get directly to the 25 cent Google Play sale unless I went through a link on the website. I didn't know how to navigate through the Desktop Play Store to find these apps. I definitely didn't know how to find these apps in the Mobile Play Store.
Sorry for my rant. =.P
The link still works. You can also go to Google Play and search for appsales.
Appzapp is a newish app in the play store which I use to keep informed of sales. It's still in beta but if it turns out to be as good as the ios version it will be a great app

Ah!! You're right. I opened it from my tablet and it worked. But I couldn't go to the link from my computer. Anyways I found it so thanks.

[APP] My apps banned from Play Store back online

Hi all,
I had a few apps on the Play Store some months ago, which got removed after Google decided to ban me from the Play Store for who knows what reason. Apparently the cause was the "sexy" nature of the apps, which still doesn't explain why my app got kicked out and so many apps that are much worse than mine still live there.
Well, anyway, I've decided to put them all back online on a website for users to download, so if you're interested in them feel free to download them and give me some feedback! All the apps have a brief descriptions and screenshots:
drfeelgoodsw . appspot . com (sorry, being a newbie no link allowed...)
They're all apps to quickly access galleries of well known sexy and gossip websites (Front Magazine, The Sun Page 3, Egotastic and so on), and they all allow you to mark those galleries as favourites, save them on your SD card, etc. Nothing fancy but I hope you'll enjoy them nevertheless! If you have any suggestion on how to improve them, or just know some other website you'd like a similar app to be made for, I'd love to hear it from you
They must have been deleted again because nothing comes up in a search for them

Sorry, I should have been clearer... by "back online" I actually meant they were available again on the web page I created for the purpose, not on the Play Store. I tried publishing them on Android PIT after they were removed from the Play Store, but that only lasted a few weeks, as apparently Android PIT only hosts apps that are also on the Play Store (quite silly of them, considering they're supposed to be an alternative market, but anyway...). I'm looking for other markets to publish the apps on, but until then the apps are available for download on the page I linked in my previous post. Those apps automatically look for updates using a JSON string on the same page, so updates should be easy to keep track of even without a Market in place.
No feedback? Either the apps are perfect the way they are, or they really suck!!

Also, I suspect that people are getting a bit wary of sideloading apks when they could be malware. That's unfortunately a level of trust you lost when you were banned from the play store.

Oh, I hadn't thought about that...
Well, if that can help, I can post a screenshot of the mail from Google describing their exact reason why I got banned, which had nothing to do with malicious behaviour in my app. That said, anyone can just monitor the traffic my app generates, and see that, apart from an update check at the beginning (a GET to retrieve a JSON file), the only connections are towards the website each app is wrapping. I would be quite dumb to post malicious apps on an expert den of Androiders like XDA Developers anyway ehehe
Anyway, if that can help I ca post the complete source code of one of the apps to let people check that everything's fine. The core of the apps is mostly the same (activities, sqlite database, image cache, httpclient+jsoup), apart from differences related to their structure (e.g., Page3 has much more activities and choices than GQ), so that should help understand I'm not hijacking anything. Of course, you could object there is no guarantee the code I'm posting is exactly the one used to generate the APKs, as we'd be back to the trust issue at the beginning...
Well, if there's any way I convince those in doubt that I'm in good faith just let me know. About the Play Store, unfortunately there's no way I can get back there. In the mail I received, I was told I was banned and that I could not open a new account to publish the apps again, so that's out of the question. Android PIT only accepts apps that already are on the store, so no go either. I tried other markets like Androlib and SlideMe, but both failed to send me the confirmation mails I needed to confirm the account, so I'm wondering if they're even a viable solution for developers right now. I've already discarded the Amazon App Store option, as there's an annual fee the likes of which only Apple could conceive. Anyone knows more alternatives to publish apps?

Reviewing apps as A Google User?

How can I review an app as "A Google User"? I still see these with new dates in the reviews, but Google Play App is trying to force me to join Google Plus to post a review, which I want to have no part of.
I have rooted Sensation and would appreciate any advice on how to sidestep this new Google BS.
Thanks
Any ideas, anyone?
Just create a g+ account, you don't need to use it for anything else than reviewing!
I am still curious what people are doing to review as "A Google User"
Odp: Reviewing apps as A Google User?
That's simple. These guys use Market 2, and even after you have it connected to g+ on website or some newer version of google play, on the old one it shows as google user.

Somewhere over xda. But I can't guarantee it will work, as it is old version. Since it changed into Google Play, and updated to version 3.10, Market 2.3.6 may not support your device well, even on Gingerbread, not saing about ICS. I cant test it, because I don't have Sensation yet. You can browse und buy apps only, forget about books, movies...
Mayby it's better just not to review apps?
Its gonna look like this

I don't use the books, movies part of Google Play anyway. I only use it for apps. But once I install the old version, how do I keep it from updating into Google Play automatically? Is the one you linked to appropriate for a Sensation? And I do have ICS, but I don't think Google Plus was required to do reviews in the early days of my ICS installation.

That is how I want my reviews to look, so I can do them without Google Plus.
Edit: I went to the other thread to make the download and the only link there has gone bad. It only downloads iLivid junkware. No link to the market apk at the hosting service.
Anyone have the APK for the last version of google play app that don't force us to join google plus to write a review for an app?
Thanks
