[Q] Multiple Recovery Issues - HTC One Mini

I have wiped my stock android to install CyanogenMod but I encountered error status 7, upon restart I ClockworkMod recovery could not mount the sdcard/internal storage so I couldn't even install stock android or cyanogen that way. Furthermore when I try and flash another recovery like TWRP due to another error in command prompt which is, error FAILED (remote: image error! (BootMagic check fail)). So I have no android installed, I cant flash another recovery and the recovery I have cant read my internal storage,
I'd love some help and if you need any more information just ask.
I have unlocked my bootloader and it also says Tampered as well as Unlocked on the bootloader.

[Q] Evita with 2.14 hboot rom flashing issues

Hi,
I've been looking for a solution to get a ROM to work on my phone with no success for the last few days, and I wonder if anyone knew if there is anything I can try to make it work again.
Code:
Rogers Evita
S-ON
HBOOT 2.14.0000
RADIO 0.23a.32.09.29
I put the phone in bootloop by flashing a Endeavour boot.img to it (stupid, yes...), and I'm now trying to get any ROM to work on it.
Here are the steps I tried to install a custom ROM :
Unlocked the bootloader with HtcDev
Flashed TWRP (tried 2.5.0.0 and 2.4.1.0)
Pushed a ROM zip with ADB (Tried CyanogenMod for Evita 10.0 and 10.1-20130813, and Calkulin's one xl ROM v 1.2)
Wiped Cache, Dalvik Cache and Facotry Reset from TWRP
Install ROM from TWRP
TWRP consistently says 'E:Unable to mount /sdcard' when wiping cache and then 'error flashing zip <name-of-the-rom>' when installing.
I also tried to install a stock ROM with the following steps
Relock bootloader
Download stock ROM. The closest I found from mine is 'RUU_Evita_Rogers_WWE_1.94.631.3_Radio_0.18as.32.09.28L_10.103.32.24L_release_268972_signed.exe'
Launch it from a windows machine
The installer fails and gives me an error 155.
I also tried to retrieve the rom from this installer via the %TEMP% directory, and to install it with Hasoon's Evita toolkit. The installation also fails and gives me 12 'signature' errors.
Lastly, I also tried without success to downgrade my hboot with JET (jet-evita-0.3.3b). The process loops at 'Failed to flash HBoot!!' despite the fact I tried multiple cable / USB ports combinations. The 'jet -u' command worked to unbrick the phone, and the bootloader now works.
Do you guys know if there is something I can try to get a ROM to work ?
Thanks for your help
Well, it seems your original problem was that you didn't flash boot image. What you're going to want to do now is
1. Unlock through HTC dev.
2. Find rom you want
3. Extract boot image and flash via fastboot
4. S-Off so you won't have to flash boot image again.

TWRP versions 2.4.x and 2.5.x are riddled with bugs so that's why the ROM wouldn't flash.
You'll need to unlock your bootloader, then download TWRP 2.6 from here. Put the TWRP file in your fastboot folder, connect your phone, open command prompt from within fastboot folder, and issue these commands:
fastboot flash recovery "filename.img"
(the exact filename, minus the talking marks)
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Extract the boot.img from the ROM zip and put that in your fastboot folder, we'll come back to that in a minute.
Now you can enter recovery, make a backup, perform a full wipe (cache/dalvik/factory reset/system), install ROM, reboot to bootloader, make sure phone is connected and it says fastboot usb on the screen, issue this command:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
(You have to do this every time you want to change ROMs because you're s-on)
Reboot phone.

Thank you timmaaa and RollTribe for your quick answer !
I unlocked my bootloader, downloaded TWRP 2.6 and issued :
Code:
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.0.0-evita.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Then tried to do a full wipe, but it failed :
Code:
Formatting cache using mke2efs...
Done.
Formatting data using mke2fs...
Done.
E:Unable to mount '/sdcard'
Updating partition details...
E:Unable to mount '/sdcard'
E:Unable to mount storage.
Rom installation failed with a similar log :
Code:
E:Unable to mount '/sdcard'
Error flashing zip '/sdcard/cm-10.1-20130813-NIGHTLY-evita.zip'
Updating partition details...
E:Unable to mount '/sdcard'
E:Unable to mount storage.
I've looked for a solution to the possible sdcard corruption problem, but all the posts I see link to a dead thread from team nocturnal of which I can't post the url.
There is an associated youtube video (again, can't post url but it is named 'How to Fix corrupt/unmountable internal storage on the HTC One X'), but it is not of much help without the 'recovery.img' file they use.
Is there another way to solve the sdcard issue ?
Thanks again
Ok, in fact the fix for the sd card was easy!
There is an option to wipe the sd card in TWRP that I had missed. When this was done, everything worked!
I now have a working 10.1 CM!
Thanks again
Glad we could be of help!

[Q] Trying to install CM

Ok. I'm trying to install CyanogenMod 10.2.1 (From download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=d2vzw&type=stable) via Recovery via the second set of instructions at wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_d2vzw. This is because errors were made and I can only currently access Recovery mode and Download mode. I am not well-versed in this kind of stuff, I'm simply doing this because my phone is otherwise bricked.
In case it's important... My recovery mode differs from what the instructions seem to expect though: I have to select "Apply update from ADB." I send it to the phone using the command "adb sideload cm-10.2.1-d2vzw.zip" and the phone finds, opens, and attempts to verify the update package. That's where the snag is:
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
Do I have a corrupted zip? Am I following the instructions wrong? Help!
Edit: I tried a different version of CM and got the same error.

If your phone is on 4.3 or 4.4.2 you cannot install a custom recovery or CM because your bootloader is locked.
Is there any way to unlock or replace the bootloader from Recovery, then? I tried forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/67061-trying-to-flash-cm-on-d2vzw/#entry369787, but it just says, "error: closed" on the command prompt.

[Completed] Help for installing a ROM to a Huawei Y635

Hi.
This is my first time attempting a custom ROM installation on a smartphone. I have so far unlocked the bootloader with the code that Huawei provided me and downloaded and installed a recovery (i think its a recovery) called TWRP 2.8.7 with its own bat file. The command in the bat are:
fastboot-windows.exe flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot-windows.exe reboot
I assume its installed now because there was no error (I did this while on fastboot mode).
Now I have the ROM but I have no idea how to install it, because I do not know how to get into the new recovery mode. Please help.
Update:
I have entered the recovery, and now I see how to flash the .zip file (got the .zip in my SD) but I get an error:
E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/external_sd/Carbon_4.4KK.zip'
Update2:
Looks like the ROM was for another model. I have installed another one, no error this time, but when I restart, it keeps sending me to the recovery instead of the Android OS...

Hello,
You may visit here Huawei Y635 Development and read the entire thread carefully. Might be you downloaded a different device's ROM even for the second time.

Xperia L stuck on stock recovery - need help

So, with CWM I flashed 7.1.1 taoshan to my Xperia L. The OS works, but when I tried to re-enter recovery mode to install gapps, CWM got replaced with Android stock Recovery. See Image: imgur. com/a/qOSJL
(I cant post links, put the imgur. and the com together)
When I try to Apply update from SD card, I get:
-- Couldn't mount /sdcard
Installation aborted.
E: failed to find /misc partition
I tried to Apply update from ADB, but I just get these errors after opening package:
e: footer is wrong
e: signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
I also tried fastboot, but whenever I enter the bootloader my PC doesn't recognize the phone with fastboot devices , and is stuck on waiting for any device (If it is not in the bootloader adb devices works)
While it is in the bootloader the screen is just black and the LED is blue.
I also tried CWMs and TWRPs app, but neither of them worked.
Can you please help me replace the stock recovery or install gapps without flashing it? Thanks.
You can download the latest TWRP for the official site and flash it with command line in your windows pc
. This is the command for the fast boot if you don't know ( fastboot flash boot ......File name.img ) you can also flash it with flash tool
And if your computer can't find your phone then reinstall the Xperia L drivers

Is my One SV bricked?

Hello,
Recently my dad asked me if can rapair his old phone HTC One SV. He said that one day after battery died phone just couldnt boot anymore (always bootloop). So now im trying to repair it but its really hard tbh.
I successfully unlocked bootloader then successfully flashed TWRP 2.7.0.1 (k2_ul-k2u). After that i successfully wiped cache, dalvik and data throught TWRP and then installed this ROM: k2ul_4.2.2_3.11.401.1_stock_odexed_v3. Recovery said it was successfully too so i rebooted and unfortunately here all the succeses end because there is still bootloop.
I left phone for week without using and now came back to repair it again but now its like impossible to do a thing. I cant send any files via usb because after sending phone doesnt show it in memory. I cant wipe anything (dalvik, cache, data, system nor sd card) because of error: Unable to wipe '/data'. When i go to bootloader i cant flash new recovery through fastboot because of error: "Failed (remote: image update error)". I cant flash throught fastboot, there is fail similar to "error: no error". Then i tryed to unlock bootloader once again but an error appears: "wrong token" or "cannot find token". After that i managed to lock bootloader and unlock once again. So i wrote fastboot oem lock and had yet another error (attached img). I dont really know what to do now.
Was looking for info on google and one guy said that motherboard may be corrupted. Is that true?
