Hi!
I can't access the developer section, yet! ^_^
Has anybody come across Sony's japanese Keyboard? I had it on my stock rom. Since I'm on CM11/togari I've only the standard keyboard.
Liked that keyboard very much, so any help is apreciated! ^ ^
All I found is Sony's chinese keyboard... but I don't need chinese on my phone.

I was wondering if there is anyway via terminal codes, or firmware code to change the function of my keyboard on the G1..
I have a G1 purchased in germany, and its keyboard is qwertz and yxcvb == z and y have been switched in place.. That is the only change on the keyboard..
I would really love if i via firmware alteration or other stuff, could change the function so despite it would say Z on the keyboard it would really result in a Y if pressed!! Since in recovery mode it is a full normal qwert keyboard, and z does in fact create a y and vice versa... If this makes any sense to you that is..
You Just Confused Everything. But I'm Not A "Master" Hacker, Someone Will Eventually Come And Help You Out That's What I Like About XDA.
right, i got a G1 from germany, its keybord have Z and Y turned around in places..
check out /system/usr/keylayout/qwerty.kl (it might very vell be qwertz.kl in your case
there are 6 files, h2w_headset.kl, qwerty.kl, trout-keypad-qwertz.kl, trout-keypad-v2.kl, trout-keypad-v3.kl and trout-keypad.kl
Is it possible to force it to "use" a different .kl file ??

Hi,
I'm about to order an Xperia X10, but i really hate using software keyboards (QWERTY).
Is there any way i can install/replace the QWERTY keyboard with a T9-keypad type input method like the one on my HTC Touch HD?
cheers in advance
Better Keyboard has a compact qwerty, and i`m pretty sure a T9 style as well. You might want to check out the leaked WVGA HTC_IME, it is considered by many to be the best soft keyboard available on android.
i found the HTC IME, it looks great. I havent recieved my phone yet, i'm wondering if its as easy to replace the IME on android as it is on Windows Mobile. I.E. will it feel hacked on or "native"? thanks
Changing input methods is supported natively.
Hello to all..
i just bought the new nexus s 9023 . i want to install greek keyboard inside the messages . how can i do that? please help me.
If the phone doesn't support the language natively, you'll have to download an alternative keyboard from the Market. I think SwiftKey has greek language support.
Try Go Keyboard. It supports Greek and its for free.
Nah...
Both , are ... hmmmm how can i say that ?
I don't like them their interface.

Anyway, you get the idea, huh! Just look for a keyboard you like.
I Haven't find anything yet.
Is anyone from Greece , that has a similar keyboard better than the original ?
i use swiftkey x which supports greek with (not always successful) autocorrection. also, it's not free, although i'm not sure if it has a free version
other than that, to get the stock keyboard with greek support you'd need to cook your own stock keyboard apk or find someone who has done this.
I use smart keyboard pro on my i9023 and have done that with every android ive had over the last few years.
good solid keyboard.
hi. yestersay i bought chacha. I want to use arabic layout on keyboard.
what should I do???
I know nothing about android. rooting and other things
I want to know how I can rip the Xperia Arc keyboard and adapt it to ICS. I'm an experienced Windows programmer but never Android...please help.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Vibrant running ICS. I came from CM7 and that had a very nice Arabic font, and keyboard as well. ICS' default Arabic keyboard is plain silly, if you ask me.
I bought my mother an Xperia Arc for my birthday (you read that right).
I really like the font used, and the keyboard is so nice and also has a dictionary file for auto-complete (Arabic auto-complete) that I need as my spelling is horrible. Also, CM7 didn't have an Arabic dictionary.
