Is it possible to boot Android like you do with normal Linux where it shows what it's doing in a terminal/text like form?

The closest thing would be my boot screen for fresh rom 1.0. But no, android's kernel does not support a verbose boot.

It's my all time favorite wallpaper that came with the galaxy s supposedly and I had it on my G2.
Im sure it has something to do with the firmware since it came from I think froyo?

This is a fresh install, and it occurs on the newest (9/14) Paranoid Android.
Everything still works, calls, data, etc. but that is still quite worries me.
