Hi folks. I'd like to know if there is a way to restore the kernel that comes with CM11. I want to test furnace on CM11 (nightly- 20140607) but what if I don't like the results I get with Furnace? I should be able to go back to CM's stock kernel, right? Or should I re-flash the whole CM ROM to get the CM kernel? Thanks in advance.
In the zip file you downloaded, there will be a file named boot.img . Just extract that file and flash it in fastboot ( with the command - fastboot flash boot boot.img) to return to the stock CM11 kernel

Well that would depend on the kernel. If the kernel you had flashed ( render, furnace etc.) had certain features (like double tap to wake, custom goverors etc.), they all will be restored to the stock setting of the CM kernel.

Install Thunderzap or Vengeance kernel. Then press Volume down when the phone shows Sony. You should be in recovery.

Yes, they are. But for the. 2.17 firmware, the WiFi is broken. So make sure you are on .36 firmware for eveything to work.

Are you coming from stock kernel or were you using any other kernel before Thunderzap? Should not be the issue if you were on stock kernel before.
Try flashing Stock ROM once and then again flash ThunderZap kernel, also I hope you are flashing the zip as well from CWM after flashing boot.img.
right.you have to flash kernel's .Zip file via CWM..
Thanks...i went back to stock and then again to thunderzap...it worked

Ok so i have dual boot setup on my phone its runing a stock rom and francos kernel and i installed paranaoid android with multirom menager witch is also running francos kernel. and now the paranoid OTA is avalible so here is the question: can i let it flash trough the paranoid ota app or i need to download the ota update and flash it via TWRP in multirom options. im scared if i flash it trough the app it will mess up somthing on my stock rom.
Give out a go. It shouldn't mess up anything on your stock rom. You will have to reinstall franko after you flash

I think you cant revert to lower android versions right now because of changed partitions oder something like that... im not sure whats the problem! restore with cwm should help but it's a temporal fix

I ported CWM using CWM for GPE and CWM Touch for Motorola Edition images.
How to install:
Connect Moto G with GPE firmware to computer in bootloader mode, open CMD or Terminal (for Linux and Mac OS X), choose file location as current folder and paste this:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery CWM_GPE_touch_falcon.img
Bugs:
On Lollipop have some screen freezes, but touch and all features work fine.

I didn't flash other ROMs instead installed GPE, but it flashes other zips fine.
Maybe CM 12 must begin support GPE file system, if everyone have problems with it.
So does this work any better than TWRP ??

It works for both, as long as the recovery is built with f2fs support, /cache and /system still use ext4 on xt1032.
