[APP] [2.3+] WakeUp: Activate the screen without using the Power Button - Android Apps and Games

WakeUp
With this App you can activate the screen without using the Power Button.
Review on XDA portal
1.2 Review on XDA portal
The screen turns off and the monitoring is activated when you use the Widget to lock the screen or put the device on a horizontal surface, such as the office desk; the screen turns on automatically when you lift and tilt the device towards you.
There is also an option to lock the screen when you put your phone in your pocket; in this case the screen turns on automatically when you tilt the device forward.
It's also possible to automatically activate the monitoring when the screen turns off after the time set in system options or when you turn off the screen with the Power Button.

The application uses a little battery while monitoring because it prevents the device from going to sleep; you can then set how long it will be monitoring the movement of the device: the convenience comes at a cost!
To uninstall the app you need to disable the Device Administrator.

Very Nice App

this is nice
Tested on LG-4xHD..works great..thanks

Nica app works good on Sony Xperia E!

work nicely on Xperia S, NXA v3.2 rom

wtf! I installed it and it blocked my phone. When i pick up the phone it keeps vibrating and the screen turns on and off like crazy. I can't do anything with my phone because when i unlock it, the screen immediately turns off.
I put the phone for 10 minutes unattended and it calmed down, so i had time to stop and remove this.
HTC One X, newest stock OTA.

Nice is there a pro version ?

Love it! If I still think it's this good in a couple of days, I'll definitely be buying the PRO version. (As a longtime Nexus One owner who had two power buttons go south, I still cringe whenever I have to hit the power button on any phone.)

Tested & worked on Moto Atrix 2, its almost same as pocket mode feature on some ROM's

I'm currently using an app called Gravity Screen which seems to function much the same.

So far so good tested and working correctly on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7105 (LTE). At first i was worry the screen might turn on when i put it in my pocket while walking.Well, it does not work that way. It will only turn on the screen while the phone on my hand and approach my face. Good... i like it.
i hope the next version can have screen turn off automatically while the phone put on table without motion / while in the pocket.

It works pretty good on my Sony Xperia SP Nice work...

Apart of working as it should, does anyone test the power consumption of this app?. I love the idea but afraid of my battery drain.

From the OP, I thought it was intended to function this way. It seems not, in my testing. I second the request.

I really like the idea of this app, testing it ATM (curious about battery drain).
An idea I had was the option to have an option to keep the sensors active while charging (I don't care too much about battery drain while charging and often pickup my phone during the charging).

In 8 hours of use with Automatically Monitoring Enabled, I had a consumption of about 10% more (Samsung Galaxy Note 3); I think it is acceptable to have this comfort.

I haven't tried it on the xt531. But I do know that the Galaxy S3, Nexus 4, HTC myTouch 4g, and HTC evo will work perfectly.
Why don't just give it a try and let me know? The app does not require any internet/location permissions like other apps.
Works great for me. Sensor in off is pretty cool.

anyway is there also an option to decrease the light of the flashlight it self? The default HTC one has 3 options of brithness but I want an app where you can mod the light brithness itself completly costum (I've a dual led and it's waaaayy too bright at night)
thanks for this handy app

Feedback
On nexus 4 the shake on feature makes it feel like a real battery operated flashlight in that it turns off if you shake it slightly too. There should be a minimum on length when shaken and possibly a setting allowing you to define that. I like it though good job.
Any chance to use the screen of the phone as the flashlight? That way it can sit on the fatboy pillow and charge and can be used as a night light for my daughter.

hi
working good on galaxy s3 4.2.2
Doesn't seem to work very well on Xperia Z.
Double clicking the Turn on button in the middle creates a FC.
Shake doesn't work with Stamina (expected though)
Had to reboot after turning off stamina to make it work aswell, Shook my phone like 5 times to get it to work.
But this looks great. Looking forward for future updates.
Wow! that's cool! Thanks!
Looks cool, will have to try it out.
It works great, except: 1) the Report Bug button was half hidden on my LG Optimus Vu 2 1024 x 768 screen, 2) not responding to the back button to exit.
Works on my Evo LTE except for the auto function.
I appreciate the feedback and thank you for everyone who downloaded my app. I'm working on bug fixes. Expect updates in the near future

KeepItOn (KIO) is an application designed to end the scourge of the screen turns off while we are reading or watching something. So annoying, at least for me…
How it works
KIO detect any small movements and prolongs the time to turn off the screen, like if you have touched the screen. Even if the screen turns off, you can always shake to wake you up during a time set by you, default is 5 seconds, and by shake I mean move slightly.
Please test it, rate it and give your feedback.
I will try to attend possible requests as soon as I can.

very useful, thank you. keep your work!
How is the battery consumption?
This goes on back process yes?
how this will affect on battery?
Thank you Sir :good: .. Works good on Lenovo A3000 with andrid 4.2.2
Will motion keep it awake if it's in your pocket and you're walking, or does it use the proximity sensor to prevent that? Will the motion of a moving car keep the screen from turning off?

Yes, this is a background process that reads the accelerometer. However when screen is off the service is running but it is doing nothing.
I am using for two weeks and have not noticed any significant change with the battery consumption.

Is there something like this for Xposed?
"Pocket mode" added.
Due to all the requests that I have had, I decide to add a feature that check the proximity sensor in order to detect if phone is in the pocket, prevent that way that phone stay alive forever in the pocket, draining all the battery.
Please test it and help me make KeepItOn better.
Happy new year everyone!
I've previously turned on the app, set it to "auto start", rebooted & now I've noticed that it was turned off. Maybe this was only to me. By the way, great app.
sir you deserved lots of thanks from me it's great app
I can see advantages to this app and I can see disadvantages too...
Is there any way to make this "app dependant", so like it will only keep the screen on when compared to a whitelist of apps, otherwise it will leave the screen off as normal? For example, it would be very useful to have the screen stay on for reading from a browser, but not when my phone is just displaying the launcher homescreen? I know it is probably asking the earth or close to the impossible but I thought i would ask anyway
New update available.
- Notification Icon
- Minor bug fixes
This update is a big update for android 4.4.2 users since there is a bug on that android version, for that users "Notification Icon" must be always on. More info here.

The first objective of the app is the simplicity, but I will though about that feature and see if it's worth.
I've got notification icon enabled in settings but I don't see the icon in the status bar. Running 4.4.4 on a Sprint Moto X.

File setup updated post #1.
That works... thanks, now... I use smartlock with my lollipop and smartwatch, can you make it so it only turns off the screen and just waits for the screen to lock on it's own? The reason I ask is if I use the button on the dock, it locks the phone similar to tapping the padlock on the home screen so I have to pin in even with the smart phone connected.
I was so excited when I saw this app. my N5 is rooted but is still stock 5.01 this wake up with volume key was one of the features that I really miss from custom roms. I been using it for about 2 days now and my battery life has been just okay so this morning I took a look at my battery stats and saw that this app was at 10% use over night. that was more then google services or my display combined. maybe its my set up or something but the battery uses was too high for me so I just uninstalled. I really hope this app is working better for others tho. sorry, but I wish I’ve taken a screenshot.

Yes, on initial install my battery consumption went up about 12 % on Lollipop typically in the morning after changing I have 96 to 97% this morning it was 84%. There were some optimizations in this last version so I will test again.
Noticed in CPU spy the phone is staying awake @ 300 Mhz for 12 hours, this is likely the reason for the drain
The phone doesn't enter DEEP SLEEP with this app...

Weird lag on lockscreen after Marshmallow update

Hey everyone.
I'm experiencing a weird issue after updating my S6 to MM OTA. My phone has never been rooted. It's the european unlocked model.
Sometimes, when I try to wake the screen (with power button or home button) the screen takes a full second or two to turn on, and it does slowly, very slowly, like with lag. Then, after a while, it goes away, and the screen turns on automatically, very fast and fluid, like it has always done.
Maybe it's doze? It happened this morning when I went to check the time with my phone. Maybe the phone was sleep during a lot of time and it lags the first couple of times I turn the screen on. I've also read it could be from the themes, but never experienced this with Lollipop.
Anyone else having this issue? Solutions? I have the same apps as before, so I doubt it's an app.
Thanks!!
Do you notice slowness after you're passed the lockscreen? My first thought is an app or system component using too much cpu, perhaps an app that needs permissions and isn't marshmallow compatible to ask for them. Download Gsam battery monitor, it will show you cpu usage time by app. It won't show more specific system processes but it could help eliminate whether it's an app or not.

I think you're right!! Right now, at 4AM here, I've seen the issue again, when turning the screen on in my dark bedroom with the lights off.
The screen turns on very slowly. Tried changing the theme and rebooting and didn't fix the issue.
Then I read your comment and turned on some lights in the room and the issue disappeared!! Seems like it only happens when phone is in a dark environment.
Very weird!!

Yes, i believe that's a feature. I tried turning the screen on in the dark, it turns on slowly. Then i tried in the light, and it was faster. So yeah, it's a feature.:good:
Any chance you have the MM feature enabled to stop accidental screen switch on in pockets/bags?
---------- Post added at 12:34 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:12 AM ----------
If it's that bad you could always try resetting the device to see if that eradicates it.

It happens with me when i take the phone out of my pocket. Is it doing that because it is coming out of my pocket which of course is dark? Very strange. And annoying. Wish there was a way to disable that.
You can disable the accidental screen unlock in a pocket...

It has nothing to do with the light quantity from the environment or maybe it is that too but this is not the main cause. The main cause is the fact that the cpu is sleeping(it's in deep sleep mode) when you press the home/power button to wake the screen. Once the cpu woken up then it will respond nearly instantaneously. Then, if you live your phone for 1 minute let's say, the issue comes back. The bad thing is the cpu is returning to the deep sleep state after only 30 seconds or less so definitely there is a huge bug!! The only solution is to change the kernel but my advice is to stay stock especially when it comes to kernels thing. Good luck! Btw, my phone is Note 4 N910F and te behaviour I've described concerns this phone, not S6

I don't really have a problem with this. It's just not noticeable in everyday usage. Samsung has pushed several updates ever since I made that comment. It seems to have been fixed for me. Even if it's not, I don't really care as I don't see any other secondary issues like delayed messages from messaging apps or something.

Charge battery notification & Sound

Hi everyone, my OnePlus7Pro suffers from the lack of an audible warning when charging and when it is removed from the charge when the phone is " on " it has no message or sound when the battery is 100% charged. For this I have created a simple Apk with tasker to install without root permissions on all OnePlus7Pro that solve this lack. It should work even when the screen is off . If you want to try it, you are free to do so. There is a button in the menu to disable the popup service and the sound but the notification is always running to work. The only permission to give is "storage". Tell me if it consumes a lot of battery and is worth keeping it installed. My goal is to "share" this simple solution with some users who know no solutions .. Consider it a test for now.
Updating 14/07/2019 :
Try this new version. I changed the skin of the popup. I added the vibration . I added the button to activate only the acoustic notification without the popup but only when it is charged and removed from the charge.
Updating new version Full 1.0 / Full.57.apk
18/07/2019
This is a much more complete version. The recharge sound is present when the power is turned on and when it comes off. There is popup, sound, I added the LEDs to the screen off. I added the possibility of using the desired profile on 4 different profiles, the possibility of disabling all the LEDs and all the profiles in case you don't want to use anything. Other little things you need to try on the menu. If you don't use the navigation bar it will be seen in full screen. Tell me if everything works, in the other case I will try to fix it.
* 11/08/2019 *
New version: full.68.apk
"most stable version"
Installation :
Give access to memory as usual and "allow change system settings"
Redesigned smaller LEDs, battery icons with percentages (I think it's more tasty to the eye). In PROFILE 4 Every 25% of charge there will be the display of the battery and an acoustic signal "red 25%, Orange 50%, Yellow 75% and Green from 75 to 100% . Now the screen does not turn off when it is added to the AC recharge. The suspension of the screen will increase the duration to allow the application to work well otherwise the LEDs and icons will be disabled, then everything will return to normal as soon as you remove the AC charge. Now there is a button to prevent the LEDs from being seen in the dark if you have enabled automatic brightness. When profile 4 is running you can activate the screen with a touch on the display. On the menu I tried to give as many explanations as possible and excuse my English if it's not good.
I'm glad to hear from you if you liked it and everything works well. As I said before I can solve if you point out the bugs.
Hi
Amazing idea and indeed it's usefull, I'll test it and let you know.
Hello, thanks for sharing! Do you mind sharing the profile itself?
A few weeks ago I tried doing the same but I was stuck with Tasker not vibrating when the phone is in silent mode.
From what I've heard Oneplus will "fix" this in next updates.

It should vibrate the same even with silent. Perhaps in the next version I will add vibration when removing the USB cable from the power supply and when the popup will appear. Contact me in private because this is an apk, it's not a Tasker discussion.

I'm doing another much more complete version. There will also be the LED, the LEDs based on the percentage of the charge and vibrations when the power is disconnected and attached. There will be 4 profiles to choose from.
Added Full version on the before page. Try it ?
Okay :good:
New most stable designed version loaded in 1st page.
