Hello guys, i newly bought a flip cover for my nexus 5 and i thought that i can add a small magnet to it so that it becomes a smart cover. BUT i noticed that the magnet is NOT turning the screen ON or OFF. Could it be because i am on a custom ROM or that the magnet sensor (near the front camera) is not working as it should.
Appreciate your feedback on this issue.
The sensor is on the edge of the screen near the vol up

N5 has a magnetic sensor?
I wonder why the Spigen Slim Armor View didn't use it... it uses proximity which causes tons of issues and battery drain.

Just picked up a maxx today and the capacitative keys are lit unevenly. Recents is quite bright, back is dim, home is in between. I was thinking maybe there should be a light at each side, and the left one isn't working. Anyone else have this?

I have a similar issue except back and home have a blue hue, while multitask looks normal.
Honestly its such a small issue that its not worth bringing back, especially if it means possibly getting a refurb.
Is there a way to control how long the buttons stay lit? I want the lights to turn off while the phone is day dreaming and charging on a wireless charger.
I don't think so. Having the keys lit up like the 4th of July while the phone is daydreaming on ultra dim mode drives me nuts...

I'm noticing that when the screen is off and I tap toward the top of the screen the phone screen turns on. I just noticed it today but it happens every time I tap the top of the screen. Also when the screen is on and I hover my finger toward the top part it selects buttons on the screen as if the sensitivity is high up there. Thinking of returning the phone for a new one but wanted to know if others had this problem.

It could be a problem with your sensors I'd call Samsung or take it back to sprint

I would boot in safe mode and confirm it's not a third party app before taking it back. Also poke through all the settings to be sure motion and accessibility features are off. Safe mode instructions for the s3 or s4 worked for me. I forget how to do it but Google is how I found it

Thanks for the help, I figured out it was an app causing it after all

Hello all!
After searching for a while I can't seem to find a thread on this. Does anyone else's Nexus 5 lock button sink towards the top of the button, or rattle around?
The volume rockers don't rattle or sink. Any feed back would be awesome! Thank you!

Thank you a ton for the reply. Mine is about as bad as in that video. I'm quite good with taking devices apart (had to do it for HTC vivid to get s-off) but it's just not worth the time to take the device apart. Maybe getting a case will quiet it down. Thank you again!

Has magnetic no gyro. Orientation sensor is for what position your holding the phone such as when you hold it up to your ear and the screen goes dark in a call
