This is all new to me so i apologize in advance. But thanks also if u can help . I have a sprint sg5 and i rooted it myself worked fine i found a rom i wanted to try so when i hit restart i accidently hit download mode instead of recovery and now its just stuck in download mode someone please help
You need to find the official zip file from Samsung and plug in your phone to your PC, use Kies and restore the phone.

Maybe a silly question but have you pulled the battery and tried rebooting into recovery?

I don't think all is lost .
See if you can get into download mode by Holding Volume Down + Pluging in USB
or by using the android sdk and writing "adb reboot download".
When your phone is in downloadmode you should be able to flash a stock rom again.
If you need more help we need more information. Which Rom before? What Rom now? What happens on boot?
Thank you so much for the info. So far I have not been able to get it into download mode or even get to manual mode. I am running stock android 2.1 and was trying to flash it back cause for some reason the phone just quiet working. But instead i flashed 2.1 for a different carrier. Any digestions?

now how to instal update that other file

zip is for those who are flashing cm7 through cwmlol...

Well there is CM9 in the forum then why to install CM 7?? U mean why to use bullock cart when the Ferrari is available???

Anyways you can use odin to flash it. Apply update.zip if you want to upgrade the version of CM. That can be done in CWM recovery mode.

That is because CM7 (which you refer to as a bullock cart) is actually very smooth, stable and more complete than CM9. The handling on the ferrari is bad now. so some tune ups are required till it becomes stable and most of the things work.

i tried to update my rom to 10.5 using update.zip in recovery mode.. when i rebooted it stopped in GT-I5801 screen.. it dint not reboot my phone for more than 4-5 hrs.. im sure my phone isnt bricked.. kindly help me.. im so worried

Pull battery out, put it back in. Hold volume down, home and power button together. This will take you to download mode. Then open odin and flash a rom

or you can do wipe cache or wipe data factory reset that may help..or flash thats ultimate solutin r u sure u used proper .zip file

I cant open cwm, thats the problem.. only download mode.
I installed a rom that was for the p3100 then i got an error, then i couldnt find my backup. When i did it just started say'n Samsung GALAXY TaB 2 7.0

Step by Step please? :fingers-crossed:
In CWM
First wipe cache partion...then goo to advanced and wipe dalvik cache
Reboot your system
If this don't work then try to wipe data/factory reset
Reboot your system

As long as you've already downloaded cwm you can just about always access it but if you haven't already used Odin to root then you won't have cwm

Can you use another computer that has a card reader? You could dl a ROM (if u have a custom recovery) to ye sd card from that comp, xfr it to you sd card, and flash a custom ROM that way...

flash stock rom by odin (3.07).
Make sure that drivers are installed properly on pc.

I am on a trouble now.
I was running CM 12.1 (lollipop 5.1.1) on my device N8010. I got tired and I decided to go back to Gnabo v8 which is 4.4.2. Huge mistake because I got stuck into de samsung galaxy note 10.1 screen.
I am able to go in Recovery and download but the problem comes when PC does not recognize my device and I cannot flash anything. I have installed again the USB drivers but the same.
Did anyone has an idea??? Thanks.

I have it semi fixed now. I download the 5.1.1 rom in a usb and I am now running it. It´s fine.
The thing is that I want to go back to Gnabo. It´s possible?
