If I'm right, 4 GB is total. 3 Gb for system and apps, 1 Gb for user.

3 Gb for user apps and system. Go to:
Settings, Apps, and see how much it's in total (used + free), remove that number from 3 Gb. The result is how much is for system.
I think, from 32 Gb on Xperia S, 1.5 Gb is for system. More 1.5 Gb for user apps and rest for media.

ya checked there also its 1gb.
if you want to free your memory then root your phone and use link2sd application so that you can transfer your system apps to sd card.

Rooting means root access to your phone.if you are a rooted user then link2sd application transfer your application that's in the phone memory to sd card so you will get more memory....

Hello friends ...
I love this mobile ... http://www.gogi.in/micromax-a90s-review.html
And it have sufficient hardware capabilities to run high end games ...
I want to buy this but only problem is the memory...
It have only 1GB internal storage for installation, while HD games are having size more than 1GB ...
Is there any way to install 2GB games on it ...
I don't want to root ... but if there are no options left then I will do rooting ...
Can I hope that after rooting ... I can install games directly on SD card ??? without any issue ???
You can install them on ur external card with apps like link2SD, Rom Toolbox. You will have to root it
Edit - actually, if im not mistaken, you can install the games directly to your external sd without root

Thanks for reply... my dear friend ... but I want to know that is this 100 % possible to install big games (greater than 1GB)directly on external SD card after rooting ???
(quote from website: "internal storage for app is around 1GB free. Apart from that there is another storage of 1.9GB which remains untouched and you don’t have an option to save new apps on the internal storage by default.")
I can't understand it because I am new to android and having no knowledge of it ...
Can you explain this quote ???
I see no reason why it wouldnt be able to do that.
That quote says in other words, the phone has 3 gigs internal, its partitioned, the 1 gig is for "system" and the other 2 gigs are for you to use as storage, or atleast thats how it works with my galaxy pocket.
I was told the game storage works like this, the game data can be stored in the external memory and the games "launcher" will be stored in the 1 gig partition of the internal memory. The launchers are usually 10 - 25 mb.
I really hope you understand this:thumbup:

Can I confirm that after rooting I will install games/apps directly to SD card ???
Yes.
There is a very good chance that u can install games directly to external sd without rooting also.

Yeah man,the data is Directly sent over to the SD Card!
Don't worry Game On!
i am confused. is there any difference between using link2sd & swap or no. please help
Sent from my Symphony W68 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Link2SD moves Apps from Internal storage partition to the external SD Card thereby increase storage space available on internal system partition. Please review [APP][1.6+] Link2SD
Swapper app increases available Ram for the application. Please review [GUIDE] Increase RAM using Swap File and Swap Partition for more details.

Recently I installed viber but it can't moved to sd card. The 'move to sd card feature' wasn't there. I know viber can be moved to sd card so please help
Note: Installed latest version of viber

Not all apps are installed to SD card. BBM for one. guess viber is another. If you're trying to avoid lagging then you should read this piece on How to easily make an Android phone run faster or stop lagging as it explains other techniques you could apply
Laging is not the problem the problem is low internal memory

My bad . If that be the case then you might want to read how to fix storage space running out problem on an MTK Android phone . what you'll essentially be doing is editing your EBR files
I don't want to root

2. Flashlight, once on doesn't go off at all till I reboot the phone.
3. Camera app fails to save photos, or the photos stored on SD card suddenly disappear on opening gallery.

That's right. My question is, after a system wipe and flashing rom, I thought the entire 8GB internal memory could be used. Why is it partitioned again into 1.5 GB internal storage and 4 GB phone memory, apart from the SD card?
