Hey fellas,
Got a rooted Xperia L, the problem is with it's magnetic sensor, tried several apps but none of them shows a reading by the magnetic sensor...
Did the *#*#7378423#*#* and checked there, yet nothing..
I am sure my phone has a magnetic sensor..
I think the problem might be with the sensors.conf, as I can't find it in the /system/etc/
Using the original ROM.
Tried compass calibration too, still nothing.
Anybody got a solution?

There an app from playstore called CPU-Z !!!!!! try it and see if your magnetic field sensor is working or not?:laugh:

Just checked it, yes it is there...though the contents seem encoded..
I think it's just a config fault as there's no readings at all, please help me out, been stuck with this problem since long

Nope did not, is it safe to do so while my phone is rooted?
Ain't there any other sensor config files to look for that might be missing? Can I have yours? That might work...
Dun wanna factory reset, there's a whole lotta things in this phn, gonna take ages to get them back again..
P.S. Backup is not an option.

Yup you could factory reset...... But you wont loose root!

Ok your rooted......... so there CWM for xperia L locked bootloader. Download it. Boot into recovery and take a nandroid backup.After finishing........ factory reset your phone.... And then try and see if your magnetic sensor is working if not restore your backup!!!!!

Send me, all the files, and check ur PM, mentioned another file location there..I need all those files..
I did the CWM recovery for locked bootloader, but after I take a backup, it says 'failed to mount /data' , not sure if the backup was complete.

I have searched many threads for this, but still not found any single perfect solution. I request for the exact s3 dialer which comes with s3 and not the one which is themed or modified. Is there anyone who can extract it from s3 and make it compatible for Note N7000???
To be more specific, I add this image which was uploaded by some other user on XDA. The new dialer has bigger contact photo and very nice blend of blue color.

I want a replacement for existing dialer that I am having with my custom rom. so if that apk needs to be put in system/app, that will do too, but I am curios to know if copy of s3's dialer apk will work with note?

by just puttin s3 contact .apk file it wont work u need the framework res.apk file to be modded for that... bt still if u want tha apk file il upload it

In My Mobile its not working
I install another ROM which has even worse problem, it blocked calling button & blocked APN Setting
When i insert DOCOMO sim in my phone then he connect internet & give me calling Facility only for DOCOMO sim
So is there any file which has related to Service Provider so replacing file will solve the problem
Is there any solution please share with me

Yes i do as per following procedure
1) Factory Reset & Wipe Cache
2) Clear Cache partition
3) Install ROM
I am using CWM Recovery 5.0.28
P.s. provide gapps for slim jb

I have made some changes in Xperia J JB (.31) Stock Home launcher. And now Its very Smooth.
Here is the apk if anyone wants to give it a try
Changes i have made : Homescreen Folder looks changed, Added borders like new Xperia Home in App drawer , Backgroud in the app drawer changed etc. and now its smoother...
Tested on Xperia J JB(Odex) .31 FW. Test it and reply with Result.
I would suggest you install secondary launcher like Apexor Nova while doing this process... In case if something goes wrong!
1) Just download the apk. And rename to Home.apk
2) Push it into /system/app
3) Give permissions
4) Reboot and done

When attached loaded 32gb pendrive(external memory usb device) by a cord to my s2 plus it show empty .problem occurs only on this rom.i used pen drive on my s2 plus from 4.1.2 stock

Anyone installed Nfs Most Wanted? Does it lags? Does the phone freeze or reboot when exit the game? Does the game have graphic issues, because on my phone 4.2 stock the game does not show sometimes in the menu corect textures. Thanks.
Yes, i noticed too in 4.2 stock that Im missing some parts of game (textures, graphical glitches..etc)
But i played before like 2 hours ago NFS Most Wanted, Shift.. Didnt have any problems.

Instaled it for just 12 hours and then made a downgrade....main issues were no lockscreen notifications, finding lockscreen shortcuts was a bit tricky, if i wanted to change the internet settings or other elaborate settings i had to restart phone to apply those settings....
Hi many thanks for cool dev for this Rom. I faced problem that when I turn wifi off to switch to the mobile network 2G or 3G the device doesn't connect the network data unless i reboot the phone. Please can you give me any solution. Thanks

For now try this : When disconnected from wifi, try turning on data, after 30mins.

For sd card try from play store "apps 2sd" and yeah vibration is a little bit stronger i have same issue. Go do settings\device\more\vibration density and set how you want.

I can't flash cm 11 (Installation aborted, error status 7). I try different build's and cwm but the problem is still the same. Anyone can help me?

I tried two programs from play store (app 2sd) the two take you to the app information page where there is no bottom move to sd card in this ROM.

Sorry then, but this is not actually a PROBLEM, becuase Kit Kat doesn't support moving to sd card.
So if you want that feature, go an return to stock 4.2.2 that's the best solution.

Thats because most app2SD apps from play store do nothing than showing you the built-in way to move apps to the sdcard. But in KitKat there is no such built-in feature so you have to use apps like link2sd

As I hate to have million apps in app drawer... I built simple MOD to add Xperia framework control in settings...
CAUTION :
This MOD is only for 14.3.A.0.681
Don't say I didn't warned you if you experience any problem on 4.3 or 4.2.2 firmwares
And of course...you must have Xposed framework installed on your devce
Tested on deodexed 681 firmware.

It's for deodexed ROM only...
You meant maybe on odexed ROM?
Check instructions again, I added screenshot in instructions ( for permissions.)

Then it must work.
App is deodexed and signed but do one thing...
Download zipsigner from market and sign settings.apk (use platform key) on your framework.
Then copy/move it to system/priv-app.
It's just few lines in settings_header.xml and strings.xml
If you have working Xposed and you are on deodexed ROM, it must work.

You are referring to app drawer icons?
Install Xperia Xppsed by @serajr and you'll see xperia home settings:
Select it and you'll see this:
Now select "hidden applications" and select apps you want to hide:
Restart device and that's it...
You'll see, this Xposed module have great features...

Guys if you wanna try something that's not in OP - try, don't ask.
You have all informations in OP.
Try to delete settings (dex and apk) from system/priv-app (cioy them somewhere so you can restore them if you need them) and copy this settings.aok there and you'll see...

I released thus like opened file because we didn't have fully working recovery on LB but now when it's working I could do that...
