I have just applied an update.zip (c-rom) and all old facebook crap are working again (facebook chat- direct share by the blue f - facebook chat widget)
idk if you shold do the same to make it work but the thing I did was applying the update.zip from the cwrecovory > and when the system starts connect to the wifi and wait until the time is updated then link your fb account to the phone and that's it
the link is in the attachment> I have downloaded the update with htc sence not adw

that's...because that rom is based on stock. stock had everything working. it doesn't work on any unofficial roms, because the stock roms have apps running in the background that watch for button input from the facebook button, then launch the facebook application.
The benefit of stock-based roms is that they function as the manufacturer(htc) intended. but the benefit to custom roms(ICS, JB, KitKat, etc) is that they will run modern apps better, as well as run smoother and have all the latest features.

I have posted this because most of htc chacha users (like me) had this problem with the stock rom where you get a notification that (Authorize HTC ChaCha to use f button)

glad to hear that fb share button works again but i tried to work it on my stock rom (arabic one ) but i worked with all fb accounts except my account
but i think it works on stock if you updated fb app from store to the latest version then the notification about Authorize will disappear and the fb will work

Yes it is updated..But when I just installed android (about month ago) everything worked normaly.I think it's the problem with the app.
I reinstalled the mod today and now the notifications are coming normally..

I have been running this build for many months on my HD2. (As well as many different android versions before this) and I have literally NEVER seen a live Facebook notification (in the bar or a sound alert). Am I missing something? what is the Mod you refer to above?

ok i do like both but i kinda want to try asop but i need sense calender and facebook sync other then that i dont need sense so how can i add that to a asop or remove everything from a sense rom i have tried alot of roms like them all but not what i need i think sense uses my battery way to fast

Try a "senseless" rom rather than an AOSP one. They're based on sense but have most of it stripped out. That might be what you're looking for.
AOKP is awesome, plain and simple (except the camera, but other camera apps can change this)
there is a flashable zip around here thatll allow you to sync your FB contacts and photos, and when you transfer your FB contact birthdays and events to Google Calendar...who needs Sense calendar? Ill try to find the tuts real quick on how to do each one

just download any camera app of your liking in the play store, I prefer UCam

If it really works and does the things it was designed for, I will never, never install this.
Would be the final surrender and is a perversion of Android.
This does not work for me. I uninstalled FB and FB messenger, installed the 3 APKs found on that site. Logged in to FB and FB Messenger but there is no "Enable Facebook Home" option in the FB app settings. If i choose to use the FB Home launcher, i get a black background with the little circle icon with my FB display picture in it.
the resolution on our phone is 1280x800 is it not? that website lists the max res that is compatible as 1280x768.
Edit: This is on a Samsung JB DXLSE rom, maybe you will get a different result on a non-touchwiz rom
Worked for me... and I uninstalled it just 3 minutes ago Just wanted to see whether it did work. I get my FB picture in the middle and when I drag it I get a camera on the left (Doesn't work?) apps at the to along with status updates and on the right I forgot... either way it is now uninstalled.
Oh, and I was on Asylum CM10.1

I guess you need facebook camera app. Black screen for me but now works fine! Anyway ive uninstalled it because i dont want friends or unknow people as my wallpaper... the idea was great but... it's not what i want
I really don't see the point of the Facebook app. It's like going back in time, as you lose the flexibility of the Android OS, without any widgets or customization of the home screen. Does anyone else see any use for the Facebook app?

The facebook app provided just gives me 'error try logging in again later' message. I tried the facebook app from play store but there is no option to enable facebook home.

They need to fix the FB app, not create a new one. When you use Facebook Home, it feels like using iOS, really fluid... but when you use the Facebook app, looks like a primitive java app, even the Facebook for every phone JAR its better than the stock android app....

Can't see this catching on for more than five minutes while people test it out, the reason I use Twitter over Facebook is so I can choose which pictures I want to have rammed down my throat, Facebook is ok, but it really depends on your friends and what causes, situations and inane conversations they choose to share, and to have that plastered all over my home screen instead of my 3d fish or some other funky live wallpaper, with widgets that feedback up to date information is beyond me.

The mute button doesn't work and I think it will never, because nobody except of letv knows exactly how they implemented this and even if it would be quite hard to port because there is just no such button designated in pure android.
The rom uses a different camera app than stock, I don't even know from which device or rom it's ported but it supports most of the stuff the stock rom supports(or even more?). The stock camera app is not installable on aosp (yet).

Unfortunately I found a bug. Something is causing a "PhoneWindowManager.mBroadcastWakeLock" which completely prevents the phone from going into deep sleep .
EDIT:I found the reason. This bug happens if you use the volume rocker(VOL+/VOL-) but ONLY when the screen is turned off. I also have good news, I know which file I have to edit. It will take some time to get used to the java source code because it contains thousands of lines. A temporarily fix would be to only allow to adjust volume when the screen is on.
To avoid that it drains your battery so much, please regularly check WakeLockDetector. If you reboot the phone the wakelock is gone.
Same happens in the AOSP rom posted in the main LeTV thread - yet to install yours

I know, I was wondering about this wakelock before but I could not find the reason or if it is even related to the rom It also happens in the mdsteam rom for Note 2. I know how to fix it now but I don't have time anymore to compile and pack everything together. I think it's ready on Wednesday if everything goes well...

Root is simply! You go into recovery. Then, you flash update-su.zip beta 2.49 over recovery.

Sorry for confusing but I meant stock aosp camera app not eui It does support all features of the eui app afaik, also Slo-Mo. I think i had the same one on my THL 5000...

Version 1.0.3final is now ready. It fixes the wakelock bug and I've tested it over one day now and it seems to run pretty well, no more wakelocks at all, also no crashes. I decided to only make an ultralight Edition from now on, so everybody can combine the addons as he likes.

1. I don't think so, but is has only about 700kb, so I didn't really cared about it so far

4. I don't know what you exactly mean. Pressing the circle button shortly will enter the menu and long will enter recent apps. What I want to add is that a long press will enter the Google App. The generic file you posted is just about adding linux key codes to different names. The actual event which happens when you press a button usually is written down in java code.

I fixed the picotts issue already, it will come in the next version
Regarding the sms app I can only repeat what I wrote in the other thread about he dialer app. I don't make these apps, they come from aosp/google, if there is something wrong blame them. The main idea behind my rom is to provide a most lightweight and pure android experience as possible. For example one guy uses nova, the other hola and some use apex. The same goes for sms or dialer. I don't want to load this rom full of unecessary stuff you'll never use, feel free to install what ever you like. I don't have this issue btw. The way how you saved your contacts(e.g. with or without country code) might be the problem. The Messenger is the most recent version from google -> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.messaging&hl=de
