You can extract recovery.img and create cwm with mtk droid tools or upload it on cwm builder at builder.clockworkmod.com

I was wondering how I could root my Samsung galaxy note 10.1(my tablet). Its android version is 4.1.2 and the model number is GT-N8013 if that helps. Thanks

find cwm or any custom recovery for your device, flash it with odin. (search xda for cwm for your device)
then with recovery install superSU.zip . ( you can find superSU.zip on chainfire website)

No, you need to flash this too.
Do a little research on Note 2 threads, you can find full guide how to do that
