I to would also like to know this answer. what it sounds like to me is that we need the right APN's to get data voice sms and what not to work. so it should be OK to flash any rom but if it works 100% I don't know. But I also would like to know if its OK to flash any kernel that we want. Lets just hope some that knows more then me can help us both out
Hello, first post in xda, but I'm familiar with Android. A ROM will not flash your radio. Also, the APN settings usually set themselves when you swap Sim cards.

So lately I've been seeing sites that claim their method can get you from 4.3 stock back to 4.1.2 stock. But last I heard the bootloader made things impossible and it couldn't be done. So is there a recent exploit found or something that makes it possible to downgrade from 4.3? The reason why I ask is I have a Verizon s3 I want on T-Mobile USA so I kinda need to be able to flash that ROM it specifies in that thread.

Those are more than likely scammers. If a method had been found, rest assured, it would have been plastered all over XDA by now.

My nexus 5 will not read any sim card at the moment. I flashed back to stock 4.4.3 and ever since that, no matter what carrier sim card I put in, I get no call reception. The phone is recognizing there is a sim in because I flashed a custom ROM and whenever I put in a sim from T-Mobile,att, etc., there APN settings come up. I have no idea what's going on. I am no noob. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe a hardware fault then. Assume you have IMEI etc visible in settings > About phone > Status

Restore a nandroid if you have one. It should fix it.
Flashing factory images didn't help me to recover the network signal and to detect the sim card.

I had the same problem with my n4 and I brought it to LG for RMA. It's pretty much the only thing you can do.

And this may sound crazy but is it possible for me to push a backup to my phone through adb and then do a nandroid restore through twrp that way?

Yes it's possible. Are you trying to just return to stock/another rom or do you want to flash back your nandroid? There's an easy way to flash zip files through twrp easily. *adb sideload*

If someone is willing to upload a nandroid backup of stock that would be great... Preferably 4.4.2

I've tried that... No dice. I've tried everything. At this point I'm guessing its hardware. Although it doesn't make much sense that the phone is recognizing there is a sim in just will not connect to a network. This is a major bummer.

Yep. Same thing happened to me. It would detect my sim, it would connect to WiFi, but it wouldn't connect to mobile data. I flashed almost everything I could find and nothing worked. Just RMA it.
Title says it all. I used autorec for g2 does it work on g3

How would it possibly work? Two completely different firmwares and phones. You should read up on exactly how that app works.

if you mean call recording then you should root your phone and install the g3 tweakbox it has that option so you can record calls.
No he means the G2 app to downgrade the baseband to allow a loki recovery bypass on 4.4 firmwares.

Oooo sorry im new to LG hahahah well in my understanding i don't think it will work and most probably they'll make a new app for it making it compatible with the G3 but i wouldn't go around installing potential stuff that might break the phone.

Loki is dead. It has been patched. This app cannot be configured to work with the G3 at all. Loki was available for G2's running 4.2.2 and when they were updated to 4.4, it broke the Loki bypass. This allowed the bootloader to be downgraded so that Loki would work.

I want to use/have CM and Color OS on my OPO. How would I be able to do this properly (if possible)? Thanks in advance
By using multi rom? I'm not sure if I understand your question because you already answered it.

I guess the question is will it work? Besides installing multiRom and color OS what else would I need to make this work?

Have you not read the instructions in the Multirom thread? It's all explained there.
