i could be wrong but you might have to make them system Apps. the G2 will eventually be updated to g3 apps.

Hello Dear...
You Know Actually You Are Not Installing Normal APK's From LG G3...
Gallery, Music etc are Stock apps...
and Your G2 Will not allow you to Replace the pre-installed Apps ....
So what you have to do is first root your device then delete existing stock apps in G2 (which you wanna replace) then copy the stock apps from G2 to /System/App
Hope that works for you....

there are lots of guides on how to make apps system apps, google it, it requires root.

I want to know when you say "install ROM' exactlty what do you mean? I have rooted the phone, installed all the drivers, installed ROM manager, done a factory wipe, opened the recovery programme. the phone cannot see the file no matter where I put the ROM. Can you inform me as mentioned earlier exactly where and how do you install the Optimus G3 ROM? Thank you.

Did you manage to install the G3 rom on your G2? eventually I managed to do it, using Team Win, I installed the ROM from a USB drive using a on the go connector. Very happy with the results. Using the G2 cover I can access the window apps, the split screen works. At the moment I haven't found anything that does not work.

Also until a system dump of the phone is done, the developers cant do much, so unless you know how to do a system dump you might be waiting a few weeks. but the optimus 3d could really benefit if someone who has the 3d max can do a system dump of the phone

so we can use Superuser but can't use CWM Recovery. because exist RSA lock -_- ;
:O if its rooted, can you be kind enough to download root explorer or another manger , and copy the whole "system" folder and upload it on here , we could use it to integrate some files into the old optimus 3d. THANKS

Update: I can run upgrade now BUT...
in "C:\ProgramData\LGMOBILEAX\Phone"
have LGSU870.... instead of LGP720..
so MaxRoot says "fail to find file"...
please upload a CubRoot.exe.

But it still say "fail to find hdcp.sh! kdz is modified"

Try this, install SRT Appscanner from Play store, once installed open the app and tell me if either of the bugs say vulnerable please.
I mean this app check possiblity to root.

I have bought Nova Prime. The best you can get in my opinion. At least much better than Touchwiz...

Need more information.
Note that this good old device is based on the Armv6. Games designed for the Armv7 which would be most anything of newer vintage will usually crash out. Install games specifically made for or modded for this device!

before this ive always used a customized version of the stock rom (ill just refer to this rom as stock rom) here is the link to that rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2744491
It works really well and im very happy to finally have CM on my device since the stock rom got really slow and laggy. The only point is that i really hate the in-built Apollo music app. The same goes for the camera. Now, the stock rom had an excellent working music app and camera and i really want to install those apps on the CM rom. I tried to manually install the apk files but that doesnt work it says: app not installed. I tried to move the apk files to root/data/app and set permissions to rw-r-r and then reboot but this doesnt work either, the apps dont even appear in the app drawer I also tried to move the apk files into the app folder BEFORE flashing the rom. The apps would appear in the app drawer but when i tried to start the music app it said: Unfortunatly, Music has stopped.
Id be eternally gratefull to the one who could help me out.
Im sorry if this is a bad post its my first one.

Hi,
Please ask about that in the thread for your CM rom that you linked. But chances are that the stock apps rely on LG's firmware to function. So it may not be possible.
If asking in the rom thread doesn't help, you can ask in your device section, here...
