invalid ext4 image - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

First I have download "P905XXUANAE_P905OXXANA7_P905XXUANA7_HOME.tar.md5" for my Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 SM-P905. But unfortunately the file did not work for me and after all the long installation process odin says failed. and the last line on my device is
"ODIN : Invalid ext4 image"
so, after seeing that I thought the downloaded file ("P905XXUANAE_P905OXXANA7_P905XXUANA7_HOME.tar.md5") may be corrupted. then I download again another file from sammobile website for my note pro SM-P905 and that is "P905XXUANC3_P905BTUAND2_P905XXUANA7_HOME.tar.md5" but when tried to install by odin after long time same condition happen again. Odin says failed, and my device last line was Invalid ext4 image.
what is the problem?
how to flash SM-P905?
where is the exact proper flash file for my SM-P905?
Please Healp!!!

[HELP] galaxy ace plus soft-unbrick

i've tried this guide and some others on the net, downloading files over files, tried with odin3 v1.85 and v3.09.
putting every time the phone in download mode and flashing the .tar.md5 file when doing it without the pit file it says "use the default pit", attaching the pit it gives a "secure check fail: id 0x95" and one time it displays "partition table doesen't exist".
It would be nice if anyone could help me as soon as possible!!:good:
I think ur partition memory currepted .....
Hit thanks if i helped
i thought it too couse it can't be that it says "partition table doesen't exist", if you know how to fix it, it would be great
ok
did you downloaded the correct firmware from sammobile.com ???
What were you doing when you bricked your phone??
yes, i did, but it also didn't work i tried different versions but niether that worked.
I bricked my phone flashing through cwm the same rom (cm10.2 by vickig coolest) in order to reinstall the gapps which weren't working before.
Now i tried flashing cm10.2 by dirty developer and it says "e: can't open /sdcard/cm-10.2-20131216-DirtyDev-trebon.zip" if someone could give me a working backup (cwm 6.0.3.3) i could try to restore it.
Dude
While flashing stock firmware open odin and click on nandroid erase all
And then flash firmware
After reboot do a hard reset
Hope it works

Bricked S6 trying stock firmware

So somehow i managed to write over my backup and destroyed my efs folder in the process of rooting. I had no mobile connection and a message would appear saying sim card wasn't detected.
Recently my phone crashed and something with the bootloader failed because I get stuck at the Samsung logo every time. After trying to use my backup it says "no OS installed" when I try to reboot to system in TWRP.
I've tried downloading samsung s6 stock firmware on samfirm but every time I put it in Odin the program crashes. Should I try putting it on my phone and installing from TWRP? Does that work?
Is there any chance I can restore the EFS folder if I get my phone back running? IMEI and Basebank are both unknown right now..
Anyone? Pleeease? I've tried removing hidden.img from the tar file as I heard that works but no luck.

Try to remove the .md5... let only the .tar of the rom, put your phone in Download mode, plug the cable, and press start on Odin. At the end, enter in the Recovery mode, do the wipes and reboot.
Come back to say if success or not.
i try to do wipes in twrp and it says unable to mount storage
failed to mount /data (invalid argument)

Trying to Root but can't flash SpaceXkernel vid Odin. Error <ID:0/005>

Device: SM-920F
Build vers : 6.0.1
Status: stock kernel, no root
Issue: Can't flash SpacexKernel. Get error "<ID:0/005> Can't open the serial(COM) port."
http://imgur.com/a/QhkpH
I've done a search on XDA for this issue and I've found some with similar issues but no resolution. Example Here but this user was able to flash Space kernel.
So I'm trying to root my phone and than install TWRP recovery with the intention of flashing a custom rom. It is my understanding the 920F bootloader is unlocked by default so that should not be the issue. I'm following GalaxyS6Root guide. I downloaded the necessary files: SpaceXkernel, Odinv v3 3.10.6, TWRP 3.0 by Manh Ti. With my phone in download mode Odin recognizes my device cause the blue port (blue) lights up so I'm sure I have the right usb drivers. 'm stuck on the first step, trying to flash SpaceXkernel. I check AP, select the kernel, and hit start. Than I see error <ID:0/005> Can't open the serial(COM) port..
I've tried this several times but get the same error. I've read it can be a issue with a cable but I am using a OEM samsung cable. I've tried plugging it in several usb ports but same issue. Any ideas what i'm doing wrong or need to do?
Edit:
Plugged into a different usb port. Tried flashing Space kernel again and now I get error "<ID:0/006> Complete(Write) operation failed."

When I try to flash space kernel I get "can't open (COM) serial port" and when I try to flash CF-auto I get "Nand Write start - > FAIL!".
I've used this PC and usb cable with other phones and it worked fine with Odin.
I am running Windows 10 this time though. I turned off Windows defender to. Not sure if that creates issues with connectivity.

When you say stock do you mean flash the official firmware? Since I've had the phone I've only updated with official firmware from Samsung.
thanks.

Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930F E: Failed to Mount /system (Invalid argument)

Help! I cannot use my phone because while updating to OERO it failed saying :
An error has occurred during update and you have to use emergency firmware recovery on smart switch PC software but smartswitch says it is unsupported device. I have access in download mode but cannot accomplish anything because;
1). Odin fails every time ( gets stuck while flashing system.img (AP)
2). My phone cannot find /system. I have tried restoring my phone to stock, but Odin fails.
The bottom of my recover screen says "dm-verity verification failed ... " And "E: failed to mount /system (Invalid argument)".
Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I am in swtizerland with CSC VFG and wanted to flash oreo from UK BTU. I flashed it via odin 3.13.1. and couldn't boot into system only into recovery in which i get the message :
No support SINGLE-SKU
Supported API: 3
Dm-verify error…
E:failed to mount /system (invalid argument)
I can see that in recovery I still have the firmware from switzerland G930FXXS2RC3 instead of UK G930FXXU2ERD5.
In download mode I can see Secure download: enabled and FRP lock : ON, I also remember that i didn't toggle the OEM unlock since flashing official firmware you don't need to be OEM unlocked.
This work for me:
Download BTU Oreo stock files.
Download Odin 3.13...
Change AP file format from *.md5 to *.tar
Flash only APxxx.tar file
Wait to reboot
Enjoy
Hope it work. Good luck!
I was on Oreo BTU Stock and try rooting flashing tarp and when boot on TWRP there was lost data partition. I wasn't able to flash anything via twrp and Odin just reboot the phone. Then I did those steps and and boot normally and everything ok, no data loss.

Hello bro.
I did not come around any fix for that, I had to take it to a repair shop and they fixed it for 40 euros.
While searching on internetil I found some guys who said that they could repair it via Teamviewer from their shop but also had to be paid 35 dollars.
After a while, I found a program which is called ; Octopus Box Samsung which seems to repair NVM, write firmware on samsung phones. I haven't tried it but I'm sure it would work if you do a little research on it and watching tutorials on how to use the app.
Best of luck, and let me know if you come to a fix.
Edit: apparently you need this program and a Samsung Micro UART cable with 530k resistor in irder to work.

NVM is the memory of the phone on which your firmware operates. I never used the octopus box but I read for it on google.and watched som.youtube videos on which they repair NVM through the octopus box. I never heard about z3x box but I assume it does the same function.

Samsung Galaxy J4+ (SM-J415GN) Stuck in download mode..

Hi Guys,
I'm having problem flashing stock rom or custom rom using Odin 3.13 or 3.14 version. I also encounter where my internal storage drops to 10GB from 32GB. I"m getting several errors in Odin like Auth Fail, re-partion failed using a PIT file from the extracted csc file firmware that iv'e downloaded and now I'm getting the failed to mount /odm (invalid argument). Recovering my backup file in twrp didn't succeeded too.
I need your help devs. I've attached a pic where the phone boots to download mode always.
Badly need your help guys, I'm running out of solutions.... please please.
Thank You! Thank you in advance.
This is sad. Not getting any help... I guess my phone is dead in the water...
1- download odin for your phone model forum and twrp specific to your device
2- open odin make settin uncheck auto reboot and paste twrp in ap before you go in phone to download mode by vol+ and vol- and power after switch off, phone goes to download mod
3- then start, after it passes green, you have to install specific files found in ashyx forum page
4- then wipe format data and advanced wipe- dalvik, system, cache, data
5- install custom rom of your choice and reboot to system

Okay I think thats not downloading mode that you were looking for. The screen need to turn blue/skyblue know that you're moving to the right direction. And going to this mode you need to search about it then come to Odin
