Hello friends! i want a kernel or something else to boost the signal on wifi! beacuase the signal is'nt ok!!
please give me something!
i dont think that there is something that actual works. some says that with some tweaks at build.prop can boost it but from my experience they dont work. maybe some experts knows more than me!!!
I know i saw one app that gave more battery to wifi antenna, so it would be stronger, but the battery would drain quite faster

I know I read somewhere here that there is an app that automatically connects to available WiFi when in range and disables the mobile net and vice versa. For the life of me I can't find it, can anyone help me out here?

JuiceDefender
Rather sure that if you turn on WiFi, the mobile web is disabled as soon as wifi connects.
It wasn't juicedefender, it was a shorter name

Y5 Battery Saver is the only other one that comes to mind.

Although, I find Juicedefender to be more robust.
Anyone tried it ? Or have a similar application ? I want to manage my 3g and wifi on an automated way, I've tried the free version and it looks good so far ..
Is there anyway I can try the pro features before buying it ?
If anyone know a similar application they wanna share ?
Maybe try Y5 battery saver. Turns your wifi automatic on and off!

Are you talking about the market giving you a warning that the file may be too large to download over mobile data? If so, I got that message for World of Goo (~50mb; had wifi symbol in market) and I just pressed OK and it started downloading over 4G.

I have a fix for this. It just depends on what your trying to do with the wifi.

What you asked is impossible (to trick the phone and make it think its connected)
Create wifi access point with your phone and then connect there!
Thats what you want and what problaly dont working but use search...in Neo or Arc forum is 1thread and long discussion how and is it possible.
Cheers

Is that even possible? My phone disables wifi when making a hot spot also i'm sure since the wifi is being used to broadcast it can't be used to connect to any
Swyped from just about every ROM in the HD2 section
Are you talking about downloading from the market, cuz unless your carrier blocks it, I've never found anything on the market I can't download over mobile data (even if it gives me the warning dialog). If it's not in the market, I've downloaded files like 900 mb or more. Not sure what the problem is unless it's your carrier, in which case, whatever you do to trick your phone still won't trick the provider, I think.

buy a $15 wireless router. Tada.
I think he's talking about games from like gameloft and stuff, That require wifi only to download the extra game data. That's what I got from of his post at least. And to answer his question... I have no idea.

Droidwall works well. You can't schedule times but it will let you decide which apps can connect on 3g and wifi

it seems to be a hardware limitation. But in some cases can be improoved by customs roms, etc.
Normally it's already at max performance. Because of this, I haven't There are some apps, but I think they aren't really efficient.
I think it's easier to have a router firmware update than an app to improove wireless efficiency.
Hello I have a question about flashing the new radio/ rpm. Would it effect my ROM which is currently Eclipse? Basically would it be okay to go from HE to the J1? Thanks!

I appreciate the quick reply Thanks
Also has anyone used the radio/ rpm? If so has there been any notice in better reception/ battery power? Thanks guys!!!
Likely half of the community has used it. Everyone's phone experience is different relative to their environment and where they live.

Everyone definitely seems to be getting different results. Both the I5 and J1 radios put me into roaming. I would have to reboot to convince the phone I was not roaming, then an hour later I was roaming again.
I am back to HE for now.

Use whatever modem works best for your area and tower situation. I have full time 4G so they all work. Affects 3G to a greater extent. Almost all 4G towers are new.
