Stock is always most stable. Aside from that, it's all preference. Can't help you there.

I went through these instruction when I initially got my Verizon M8, the only issue that I was having is that when LTE is on, you cannot make calls every once in a while. The call just ends as soon as you dial. You have to enable and then diasble airplane mode for the phone to start working again. I you turn LTE off, then everthing works without any issue

That rom gets it working perfectly. I'm using it right now, on lte, sending and receiving calls and sms

Powered up phone today.. have the 4glte light and bars but no data.. been back and forth to Att&t store.. changed SIM card and they are telling me about a "switch" ? Guy was saying this has happened before.. will wait till tomorrow and see what happens.. Phone has been working flawless thus far.. rooted and DaG's awesome kernel...
Has this happened to anybody here? phone works fine, but can't get any network.
Go in to settings make sure you have Data enable under wireless/ network.

Oh I did that.. they are worse than the fools at the store.. lol
Sim card was switched so must go thru the switch to have lte data enabled and enabled to your account. Also, unfreeze your visual voicemail.

No.. I am on the 0.3 kernal. had it for a week and half or so.. no issues till today.

You didn't get it on black Friday, really busy days gets the queue quite long for activations or data changes.

I did a million times.. take battery out.. etc.. rebooted via cvm as well..
I might dump this and get a Galaxy s2 and have fun..
Still no data.. its been over 12 hours without any data...
Should I have purchased the Galaxy s2 instead?
Same thing happens to me today, I flashed back to stock and nothing, also changed sim card and re-register the IMEI, AT&T tech support on phone find there are a problem with APN "pta" because he create a "phone" APN and bring back 4g data but no LTE, it looks like we have some type of problem on the "pta" signal.

Wow.. I'm glad I'm not crazy.. this sucks... I hope this Lte is not a smoke and mirror show... I have replaced the sim card, talked with every tech on the phone, reflashed to stock..nothing as well.
I am going back tomorrow to Att&t store to either get a refund or get a S2.
please, create an APN just to verified we are on the same boat.

Make sure your imei is correct i'm the system as that dictates what data features you have. Also make sure they gave you a 4g lte compatible Sim.

Hi guys,
Seems like I'm getting 4G data drops off T-Mobile. It connects for like, 7 seconds, then drops, then connects again. I've tried both radios and ROM's available (stock) and the same problem exists.
I'm going to return the phone as-is to the customer with the issue partly unresolved, mainly because it does connect voice and MMS, just the data has issues.
Any ideas before I give him the phone back?

when I first upgraded to ICS from Kies, I was having the same issue.I put it in airplane mode, rebooted, and removed airplane mode and it worked after that.

There is a Zip that was created on the G2x forums that fixed the data drops on 4.0.4. O wonder if it would work for our phone given that it's a APN configuration. Hmmm...

Update: The creator of the APN fix confirmed that it should work on other T-Mobile phones. Has anyone tried it?

My XT1080m is not the Developer Edition, and unrooted, but went to T-Mobile, swapped out my sim for a T-Mobile sim and everything is working perfectly.
Just switch preferred network to LTE/GSM/UMTS and data, phone calls, and texts work just fine
4GLTE the internet is great but i couldn't send texts
EDIT: T-Mobile network much more stable with this app...

You running 4.2.2? Because 4.4 has bad radio issues on. TMO which is what im testing right now

You won't be able to make phone calls or send sms while attached to the lte network on 4.4. It's a known bug.

AH ok, according to GSMarena, the Maxx lacks 850/1900mhz bands that the moto x has.
Thinking about getting the Maxx.. I am on T mobile...Do I need the DEV version ? If not does the VZ version need to be unlocked and rooted to work? Figure since this is last of the real Moto I would really like one to hang on to...TIA

No need to unlock or root anything. Keep in mind that you need to be on a particular version of 4.2.2 (mentioned earlier in this thread I believe) in order to get LTE speeds. If you update to 4.4 you will have issues with calling and texting unless you disable LTE and stick with HSPA+

That's how it was for me.... Data was great on LTE, but sms and mms weren't working... But switching to CDMA (H+) data is more than fast enough and txt and mms no longer have issues

I had my phone telling me this morning that I was roaming when I woke up. I restarted the phone and the warning went away. I'm a little concerned with this because I was in my own home and have the Airave signal booster.

You can use the latest version of qpst to load a prl, cdma tools was a no go. If using qpst, it will give you a error right after you press write prl, ignore it and reboot your gs5 and prl will be all loaded. Rocking 3g roaming now.

The S5 has huge software bugs and big issues with the Airwave. It seems to suffer from the same 800mhz bug that the iPhone had. Sprint had to deprioritize 800mhz SMR to fix.

I already replied to your other thread, but I just got my hands on a GS5 the other night and was able to get Roam Control working with it. I literally just put the apk on www.roamctrl.com, please try it out and let me know if you see any issues. Thanks!!!
BTW - root is required and I only tested it on the stock ROM.

So I got my note 5 and took OKC update I attempt to hd video call my wife's s6 and it just says a video call is not available. A Voice call will be made.
Isn't this supposed to be active on tmobile latest OTA?
Says all over the Internet note 5 s6 has it
I am rooted on darthstalker rom My thoughts are is this a stock kernel feature that disable hd video calling

Remember that both of you need to be in a LTE coverage area. If one of you isn't or the signal is good then it will switch to a normal voice call.

I'm running TekHD rom and it works with all the kernels I've tried. It looks like the rom you're running is made from a older base rom while the TekHD rom is using the newest T-Mobile update as the base. Doesn't work on the Note 3 but it works with the Note 4.

I'm not on old rom I'm on OKC update which is the latest I believe and OKC baseband just running OJ5 Rom by Jovy
What's the latest update and is there settings time enable this is it disabled by default in phone/settings

Go into contacts>my profile> then enable profile sharing on both phones>reboot. See if that helps. Make sure you haven't disabled enhanced features in tibu.

So your telling me to give others access to my contacts and that has all to do with getting video calling working. I DOUBT It.

Whatever you want to believe man, but when I had issues with the video calling and the enhanced chat, all I did was enable the feature and it worked.
You can also have it to ONLY share with certain people as I have it to share with only two people who have the note 5.
Not doubting you man It would be nice to just verify this is indeed the only method to use this feature .
I just can't believe you have to share your contact list with people to use it. And who knows whatever else .
