Hey all,
Is there anyway I can switch from my TRP recovery to a CWM recovery?
@RiceydDr0id.... Unless I'm missing something here, surely all you have to do is download the latest CWM Recovery then use TWRP to install it.
Just flash CWM as you flashed TWRP.

Caution with the 3.0.0.5 latest CWM. I can't get into CWM recovery with that one; I had to downgrade back to 3.0.0.0. The phone just stalls at the Google screen on boot up with it.
Another person's reported the issue in another thread here. I emailed koush, but no response yet.
@nxt, you've tested 3.0.0.5 and it works as expected?

Not nxt, but I haven't had any issues with 3.0.0.5. Flashing, restoring, or anything at all.

Interesting. I wonder what the quirk is on mine and the other guy's. I haven't tried flashing it from fastboot, but selecting reboot to recovery from within ROM Mgr will not load recovery, it just hangs. No issues with 3.0.0.0.

Works fine for me normally. I personally don't use rom Manager to do anything though. I manually reboot into recovery and do recovery stuff. I have not tried selecting reboot to recovery via ROM Manager. That might be the issue.
I got this prompt and verified the partition. Now when I try to boot into recovery I get boot error, blue and red light flash for a while then I have to remove the battery to reboot. How can I reboot into recovery or did I do something terrible wrong?
Did you flash a bumpd' twrp? If not, that's the problem. Use flashify and flash a bump'd recovery.

Here is the link to the most recent TWRP, flash the D850 variant (of course) via flashify or by the instructions on that post.

Will give it a go. Didn't know it had to be bumped >.<
Here's a question though. When I put twrp zip on internal do I need to move stock recovery out or can they both be in the same folder together?

Better yet I can't even find my recovery file on internal -_-
Use flashify back up stock recovery then install twrp using flashify
I did the same thing and ended up having to use the LG flash tool to downgrade back to KK, then root, then flash recovery, then I was able to install lollipop ROMs.

Can't boot into recovery mode, maybe something went wrong while updating TWRP to 3.0.2 but can boot into fastboot.
also had backup of previous rom but since i can't boot into TWRP now so can't restore it. Earlier on TWRP 2.8.6 i was getting zip file execution error while restoring/installing new ROM.
So for now i have only access to fastboot mode, how to proceed futher?

You have 2 options you can flash the stock rom and recovery via fastboot here is a guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guide-return-opo-to-100-stock-t2826541 (Just skip step 4 don't relock the bootloader specially if you want to install TWRP) Make sure you download the correct file there is a 64gb and a 16gb listed in this guide or you can download the stock file straight from cynogen OS here https://cyngn.com/support
Or you can reinstall TWRP via fastboot by downloading TWRP here https://dl.twrp.me/bacon/ and install your backup if its still there. If its not there you can either download and install any custom rom you want or if you want the stock rom go with option 1 above and then re-install twrp. (Always remeber after installing TWRP don't fully boot into the system or you will loose TWRP, boot straight to recovery once its done flashing TWRP by holding the power button and volume down. )

Thank you Durso81,
i have successfully installed TWRP & ROM.
Thanks for your time & effort for a beginner.
Hi everyone
I have a small trouble installing the twrp custom recovery. At the moment, I have the 8.1.4 Miui with MM 6.0.1 official rom. With this, comes the MiRecovery, as you all know. So, to have the twrp recovery I flash the cwm recovery first, via MiRecovery as "update.zip". After that I swich off the phone and get again into cwm recovery. After this, I install the twrp recovery. Until here, no problem. The troubles comes now: if I swich off the phone and get into recovery it goes correctly to twrp recovery, but when I reboot to system to start the phone, if I try to get again to the recovery it comes the MiRecovery, not the twrp.
What am I doing wrong?
(I flash the cwm recovery first because renaming the zip file of the twrp as update.zip, it does not work; that's why I install first the cwm recovery).
Any help will be wellcome.
Thanks in advance.
Toni.

It must work. You're basically flashing TWRP temporarily, so when you are in TWRP for the first time, you have to flash the zip file so that it stays installed. Try that again, maybe you did something wrong, but it has to work, you just need the .img that you flash with your PC, and the .zip that you flash using TWRP when you boot into it the first time.

I booted img first then installed zip but when i reboot to recovery thers only stock recovery present ...did like 10 times results are same
the blu_spark twrp? v2?
If twrp isn't sticking, from my experience is to lock bootloader, flash stock OS and start from scratch.....
Do not flash stock with unlocked bootloader
