Will RenderKernel work for the Moto G Dual SIM variant? (Thinking of picking this phone up due to its pricing)

Since Render kernel is an AOSP based kernel, it will work for the XT1033 but only with AOSP based ROMs. It wont work with the stock ROM.

[Q] CM 11 for the Moto G [XT1033 / Dual SIM]

Perhaps a separate development thread should be created for Moto G XT1033 / Dual SIM.
Can some one report back the success/failure of using the Unofficial CM 11 ROM, here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2608377 , for it ? (All credit to dhacker29 and his team !) This is the only ROM which has some form of support for the XT-1033 but user feddback is minimal. For someone contemplating on buying this device, it would be helpful to know from existing users of this ROM on the Dual SIM variant of the Moto G.
CyanogenMod currently doesn't support Dual SIM configurations but going by posts here and there such as, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2631777 , it seems it's possible to upgrade to KitKat minus the functionality of the second SIM, rendering it a Single SIM...
Will CyanogenMod / developer support eventually extend to XT1033 as well ? Or will users have to contend with limited functionality such as Single SIM etc ? There seems to a large developer base for the other variants, maybe, we could have better solution.
This ROM doesn't work for me - no signal even with flashing the modem they said to flash in the first post.

[Q] Orig. Moto G Roms on Moto G (2nd Gen) ?

So I'm just curious at this point..I know I'm on the orig. Moto g forums. With that being said its been said that moto g 2nd gen is the exact same phone as the orig moto G just with a bigger screen..but same screen resolution, same internals, same battery etc. But the moto g does have front speakers and a slight bump on the camera.
My question is..
Can the orig moto g Roms work for the moto g 2nd gen since there the same exact phone?
The reason I'm post in this on here instead of the 2nd gen forums is I know not a lot of people who own orig moto g will jump to the 2nd gen even devs for that matter but did anybody on here jump ship and know if this will work?
Moto G (1st Gen), Moto G LTE and Moto G (2nd Gen) each have unique Kernels and ROMS. They are not interchangeable from my experience. When a custom kernel is available for 2nd Gen maybe then you can try one of the zips from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/development/rom-stock-motorola-rom-collection-t2854688
While the hardware is almost identical, Motorola have made changes breaking compatibility. It probably wouldn't be a massive challenge for a skilled developer.
Summary: Someone needs to create a modified Moto G (2nd Gen) stock kernel that is compatible with Moto G (1st Gen) ROMs. Even if the ROM did boot, camera and other features may not work.
Of course it will not works, even between Moto G 2013 variants (XT1032, 1033, 1034..) do not work on each other.

Not true. I have flashed ROMs (including kernel) for XT1028, XT1031, XT1033 and XT1034 on XT1032 and they work.

[Q] run roms on xt1033(which are not compatible with xt1033) after converting to gpe?

Can I run ROMs(which are not compatible with xt1033) on xt1033 after converting it to gpe.....like dirty unicorn (which has no dual sim support)on xt1033(gpe)

[Q]Which one should I buy Z3 (D6603, D6633)?

Which one should I buy Z3 (D6603, D6633)?
I would like to use custom ROM as a daily driver.
Z3 dual D6633 seems to be great, but will there be a wave of LP 5.1+ ROMs for dual SIM phones? - Official android support for dual SIM was introduced in LP 5.1 AFAIK.

When I bought Z3, I had the same problem as yours whether I should go for single sim or dual one.
Finally, I bought a single sim (mine is 6653) because I think 6633 won't get as many custom roms as 6653 would have.
And it's true till now though I am still using stock rom as the custom roms are not very stable yet.

Can ROMs for falcon be flashed to peregrine?

I don't need the 4G or any cellular communication to work, just Wi-Fi and the rest of the phone's features.
Since they're almost the same phone - would flashing a falcon (Moto G) ROM to peregrine work (Moto G 4G)?
Thanks!
