[Q] Problem installing Play store upgrade on Zeki 7 Tablet

I have tried several times to install the recovery file to my new Zeki 7 tablet so that I can use the Play Store apps. I have followed the instructions completely and placed the zip file into the root directory of the SD card. Every time I do this, however, the system reboots with the following message:
Android system recovery<3e>
Android system recovery utility (dlyx:vol up/vol down.enter)
Reboot system now
Apply upddate from external storage
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Apply update from cache
Finding update package…
E:unknown volume for path [/mnt/sdcard/update.zip]
E:Can’t mount [/mnt/sdcard/update.zip
Installation aborted.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Did you ever find an answer re: "installation aborted"?
Did you ever get an answer? I am setting up multiple devices for family who are giving for Christmas. 2 of 5 failed with this same error.

[Q] wipe on stock ics and stuck on galaxy note logo

Im using rooted stock ics galaxy gtn 7000 and wipe data on stock recovery after that my phone stuck on Samsung logo I tried almost every thing used odin pit file with stock ginger bread rom. it shows pass message under pc odin but when come to device it reboot it also but get the following error
E: failed to mount / data (unknown error: 0)

-- updating application ..
E:filed to mount / data (unknown error: 0)
E: install_application_for_customer:Cant's mount /data
your storage not prepared yet. please use UI menu for format and reboot actions. copy application failed.

installing Multi-CSC
Copied the packages.
Copied the default_wallpaper file.
Coplied the power on / off animation files.
Can't access to '/system/csc/TGY/system/'.
Successfully applied multi-CSC.
I still can go to recovery mode which shows the below option and can go to download mode also
reboot system now
apply update from sdcard
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
test redbend fota[FS]
any help in this will be highly appreciated

help me,, my phone galaxy y GT-S5360 error ..
when I will upgrade to 4.4 kitkat, I headed to wipe Dalvik cache, and the message E: unknown volume for path [/ sd-ext].
how to solve it??
probably due to the error message, my phone is expandable only appear after screenshot SAMSUNG GALAXY Y only.
I put cwm-5.0.2.6
rom cynocream v4 and white 1.3.3 kernel .

As far as I understand it, that's no real error-message. When whiping Dalvik cache CWM is trying to wipe an extended partition on your sd-card. This partition can for example be created when using App2SD. If you don't use App2SD and don't have this partition CWM doesn't find it and complains about it but this should be nothing to worry about.

[Q] Can't install custom room on Galaxy Express 2

I received a Galaxy Express 2 SM-G3815 as a gift today.
The phone is new and I want to install a custom rom, this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2771661
I root-ed the phone, put the rom and the ClockWorkMod 6.0.4.8 on the sd card and tried a few times to install it.
When i boot into recovery mode, I only have
reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from external storage
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update from cache
I wipe data/factory reset but there is no /format system to do as required in "how to install" steps
When I try to install from external storage, I get an error, failed to verify whole-file signature but it says install complete and the phone restarts. But when it restarts, the stock rom is installing apps.
Please help.

Help for Samsung tablet T3 (GT-P5210)

Been trying to flash a Samsung Tab3 (GT-P5210) with Lineage os 18.1. Was able to place the unit in system recovery mode and wiped out data/factory reset it was successful (formatting data, formatting cache and data wipo complete). the wipe out cache partition and was successful (formatting cache and cache wipe complete). Then applied update from external storage.
Use lineage 18.1-20211108-nightly-gts4lvwifi-signed.zip and process start: finding update package, opening update package, verifying update package. Then got 3 errors: E:failed to verify whole-file signature twice and E;signature verification failed.
Appling Multi=CSC
Applied the CSC-code: XAR
Always install version 4.4.2 instead any other newer. 4.4.2 works fine but need a higher to run programs doesn't work on 4.4.2 anymore.
I'm trying to help a 3rd world country school student, he can't afford a new device.
What I'm doing wrong. Any Help will appreciate.

Try the process again without wiping the system partition just wipe data and cache , then flash just the rom , with no GAPPS and see if it boots .
If it does , then reboot to recovery and flash the gapps with no wipe
