Last night i downloaded and installed cm-11-20140530-NIGHTLY and went to sleep.
This morning i do my usual ritual:
- Deactivate Wifi
- Activate 3G
- Connect the VPN Through OpenVPN
- Pair Bluetooth Headset
- Launch 1.fm Radio App
And after a minute or so, just out of the blue, i lost all network connectivity to my carrier. It does not recongnize SIM cards, i tried differents SIM cards but none works in the phone (they work in another phone i have) and also the option to search for carriers is greyed out. I Also rebooted it many times with and without SIM cards and so far the phone boots without signal.
Update: After a factory/cache/dalvik wipe, signal works again.

Since the last OS update a couple of weeks back am having some data problems. If I'm at home on my WiFi no problems with updates, 3rd party programs, eMail at all.
Lately, the work WiFi is not connecting even though settings show a good connection, but no data.
Latest is that now I can't get AT&T data LTE to work consistently with eMail, apps or otherwise. Its pretty spotty.
Is there a setting I'm missing?
I've updated to the lasted firmware as well but it did not have an activated sim card before the upgrade to see whether or not the voice/data connection worked.
In any case, my phone would not connect to my mobile network despite it detecting the option in mobile networks. In areas that it did find connection it would then have a very erratic signal going from no network to full signal. My network made it certain it wasn't a sim card error as 2 new sim cards exhibited the same behavior.
The wifi is fine though.
The phone has been sent for RMA again...
Loving my Urbane 2nd Edition since I got it and upgraded to AW2.0. However, noticed that the watch doesnt "kick" into LTE mode as well as it should at times when I am out of range of my phone's BT or home WIFI. Works better when rebooted. Anyone else having a similar issue where the watch almost refuses to automatically switch to LTE without the phone BT or WIFI?
Mine had never got cellular connection worked, the LTE and wireless signal are showing, but the little cloud with slash is displaying too, never got real connection, no matter if the phone is on/off or in/out of range.
Since 2.0 only calls are available via LTE, but no data streaming
I tried several times with/without roaming, choosing carrier or auto, I can't receive data via the sim card of the watch. Can you please approve or i have a sim issue /watch issue?
If you're using an MVNO's SIM that requires special APN settings, it won't work. Forget about using FreedomPop or Straight Talk or such - it'll have to be the MNO's own brand or APN settings to work. There is no APN editor in Android Wear / WearOS.
a few days ago I switched from cm to AEX 7.1.2 on my moto g. Whether that has anything to do with it I don't know.
Anyway last night the phone was working fine then this morning I see that the cell network is disconnected and the phone doesn't see the simcard. However when I put in another simcard from a different network it works normally. I switch back to my sim and it works for about 20 seconds where I can make a call or text then it shuts down again and dowsn't recognize the sim then does again once I have switched the sims but only for 20 seconds. I don't understand what is happening to the phone and why it is doing this. I need help. I have tried picking different network modes from the list after inserting this code #*#*4636#*#* nothing has worked so far. I haven't systematically gone through each one at a time yet and the list is quite long. I haven't seen a list of modes that long before there are over 10 of them from auto prl to scdma etc... Some of them I have never heard of like the scdma one. wif and bluetooth are working ok if that means anything. Thanks for any help
Also when I go into settings the network section is greyed out and under prefered network type it says Invalid Network Mode (-1) Ignore. I only tried changing the modes when this problem arose my changing these modes was not the cause
i've had similar issues, when i skipped using mobile data for a long time, my non-data SIM would dropout intermittently. i changed SIM slots didn't solve it either. other SIM was fine in either slot. just before replacing what i thought was a faulty SIM, without turning mobile data on, i just set the problematic SIM for data. that solved mys issue. however, running mobile data on back on the original setting didnt cause any more issues either.
I've been using S10e Snapdragon variant (global HK version) since release and it has been working fine, however recently everytime I switch off the phone or I lose a signal for long periods of time the mobile network radio wont turn on again and I won't have signal at all for both sim trays.
The first time it happened a few months ago, I reseated the SIM and restarted a few times and it suddenly worked.
This time I can't get it to work after it was turned off for the night.
Things I've tried:
- SIM replacements. All 3 of the same sims I've tried is currently working on my other phone full bars at location.
- Network reset and soft reboots multiple times
- Reset APN, Search automatic network selection
- On off Flight mode
- Disable Volte and WiFi calling
- Reseat SIM and have tray out and back in for periods of time
-Note it recognises the SIM cards because APN autofills and it can detect the phone number. Also doesn't say there is No SIM only No Service
- Power cycle running battery to 0 and charging again
- Force reboot Voldown and Power
- Safe mode
- Latest sw
- Factory Reset using settings
- Factory Reset using bootloader
SIM status in settings is IMEI valid but it always says Service State: Radio off
At this point do you think flashing rom will help? It could be physical damage in the SIM slot in which I'm out of warranty due to purchasing overseas. (Although how come it worked for a long period of time and then without moving the SIM tray it would stop working suddenly after switching off?)
Hello!
I have this s10e from Verizon and it is network unlock (I talked to Verizon to confirm this), well I bought it new and as soon as I turn it on, it started to upgrade to Android 11. All the update went without any issue, anyway when update was completed. I inserted my SIM card and I did not connect to the mobile network. I went to settings and open connections > Mobile networks change from Global to LTE/GSM/UMTS and manual to select the network. Network selected and I got the message "Can't register on the network" , I try again and it connects but after some minutes it lost the signal and got the message "Unable to connect, try later"
I have try several options, all with the same result, it connects for a while then it lost the connection and it won't reconnect until I try it manually...
These is what I have tried (not ordered in the way I tried them)
- Network Reset (including APN reset to default)
- Manually select the network (I go from Global to LTE/GSM/UMTS and backwards)
- Pull out the SIM, turn off the cell, insert SIM turn it on. When phone turns on sometimes it connects immediately to the mobile network but after it completes the initialization, the cell disconects.
- Erase the cache from the Phone app.
- Wipe cache
- Factory reset
I know it is not the phone because I have a Verizon SIM card and when I inserted it, the cell works flawless, actually since I'm out of USA, the cell connects to the same mobile network (on roaming) I'm trying to use with my SIM card. So I was thinking of downgrade to Android 11 but I found some threads where they reported the same issue (with Android 10) but no solution or they pointed to the workarounds I already tried so I don't think it is an Android 11 bug.
Does anyone knows something about this? any workaround?
Thank you!!

Just guessing as your have already tried many things.
Maybe you still have Verizon CSC installed what works fine with the Verizon SIM card, but leads to unstable mobile connection with another SIM card.
To check, download unbranded firmware for your region and flash it with Odin on PC via USB cable to your phone.
Use the CSC file ... Not the Home_CSC. This will wipe your data.
How this will help.
