Hi Everyone!
I am new to this rooting stuff so need some help or i will screw up my phone heheehe.
Android Version: 2.3.3
Model Number: LG P500
Software Version:LG-P500-V20d
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.10
Build Number: GR140
I have already rooted my phone.Now i have downloaded Rom Manager and just going to do the CWM recovery
1. .But after that i do not know which rom to install as where ever i went either the developer admits or the users that camera,video or network not working,esp the camera and video streaming and recording.(I rooted my phone thinking i will benefit from that a lot more and not invite problems for my working apps.)
Help is not clear sometimes for the layman or a newbie and it becomes irritating and you take unnecessary risks with that closed and confused mind.
2. Do not know after installing the rom will i have a upgraded version or what it will be for lg p500
I know most of us do not have much time but little help from here & there might do.
Please if anyone who could tell about a rom with working camera,video,network - i will be really gratful.

stock rom has the best camera and camcorder......if u will ever need a custom rom consider the latest stable 4.2 build from jenkins...
and jenkins is sort of a server to compile roms...

Thanks a lot Hariraj.But just yesterday i found out that FM radio will not be there.So is it possible i backup that and restore later.
And if you have the link of the build you are talking about please do give me otherwise i will search no problem.

use spirit fm free version but it has limited features...

Ok after clicking that link there is one zip file of 100mb which would be the rom,but just down there is one more which is about 125bytes.Am i supposed to download that too and keep in sd card? pls help.Link is below of p500.

I am going to upload a CM11 build soon , I have built it using the Build Guide from Brinly Taylor a.k.a @uberlaggydarwin , all credits go to him . I am just following steps and building.
Basically this week you can expect me to upload the build. I'll see if its going to be a flashable .zip or just .IMG files.
Xperia L owners will get the taste of full fixed , ORIGINAL work.
I'll keep this thread updated

if you can't make a flashable zip, please make a recovery backup of the rom ..... because lots of guys are complaining about the many steps of installing cm11 .... specially those who don't have an available pc right now like me

Oh god another promise about his work -.-... So how long we have to wait ? Another month or so ? Far as I long he haven't upload everything to his github. He even said that the kernel that it up on github need's to be patch but no activity on that kernel.
C'mon on guys. Okey, it's good to see his working but another promise about his work oh god.. Does only Varun shows he is really working on it ?

varun doing very very very great job and he is fixed the last bug in kitkat see this

That's what I was talking about, the last news from Varun about true work.
Let's hope the person that created the thread will make that CM for us and upload it this week.

Although I'm not a big fan of the announcing a release for 'tomorrow' and never see it happen... You can't deny that there was some activity on his github (until 19 hours ago)

I download this ROM and see that this is real 4.4, i'm sorry for my mistake
i think i can port it
and afak 4.4 kernal can be made using zimage of bindass boost

JUST DOWNLOADED THE ROM AND AFAIK ITS A REAL KK
PORTED IT AND INSTALLED IT,BUT IT IS NOT INSATALLING BCOZ KITKAT REQUIRE SPECIAL RECOVERY

I am a newbie to all such stuff. i installed the MIUIv5 rom on my a110. the installation was successful but since then i cannot install any app, neither from the sd card nor from the play store. I have even tried installing other custom roms but the problem persists. Please help me out.

well, under my picture of transformers, there is a thank button. that is the one.
dont forget to check if ur camera is working. sometimes it doesnt work

maybe that is one of the bugs of that rom. i assure u it has nothing to do with kernel. u cud try a foolproof bugless rom like me.

I'm not an expert here.
What I'd like to do is to install an android version on the sony C1505 that is extremely light and fast, no google search, google software, audio optimization... a quite empty but light system. Do you know how to do?

Would it be possible for this ROM to get some updates? Such as using Android 4.4.2? KitKat works so much better than Jelly Bean, and I'm slightly frustrated that this brilliant ROM can't use that! Also, could Walkman be adjusted so that the song's timeline position thing actually shows up on the screen and not just out of reach below the bottom of the screen?

Since this is a stock based Rom I dont think upgrading to 4.4.2 is possible.. If u want kitkat so badly why dont u try a cm11 based Rom..

If u r considering to install a cm11 Rom u should know, there are a few "not very interesting" bugs on cm11 Xperia E Roms.. Like Bluetooth, video playback and video recording not working bugs and something wrong with gsm or something (if I recall correctly)..

Yeah, I spent the 2 days before yesterday looking up something stable and usable, and found nothing. The only guy driving the development (UltraGamerHD or something) for both CM11 and CM12 is briefly AWOL. I can wait though, as I do have exams for now.
