MY HTC ONE S CAN NOT READ SIM CARD. AND I'VE CHANGED A LOT OF SIM CARDS, BUT FAILED AT LAST. THIS DEVICE JUST CAN CONNECT WITH WIFI HOTSPOT, SO I REGARD IT AS A TABLET. I TRY TO FIX IT, BUT A LOCAL TECHNICIAN SAID THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH CPU. AND HE TOLD ME HE CAN FIX THIS PROBLEM, BUT THE FEE IS VERY EXPENSIVE AND CAN NOT GUARANTEE THE SAME PROBLEM WILL HAPPEN AGAIN OR NOT. SO I GAVE UP.
ATTACHED IS THE IMFORMATION OF MY PHONE. PLEASE HELP TO SOLVE MY PROBLEM.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

BTW, THE EDITION OF MY PHONE IS S3. CAN ANYONE HELP ME TO SOLVE THIS ?:fingers-crossed:

Hi,
I recently unlocked a Vario III. It was successful in the sense I could insert a new SIM card without it barring me from starting the phone, I do end up getting an error when inserting the new SIM, "Phone Not Allowed MM#6". Does anyone know what that means? I inserted a T-Mobile SIM and while it doesn't give me the error, it doesn't connect to the T-Mobile network either.
I'm mostly curious to know if this is a defect in the phone, network, or the unlocking procedure.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Wow........digging in the graveyard.
Have you check with your carrier to make sure that the sim you are trying to use is enabled for the network and not locked . The sim unlocker, unlocks your phone to use any sim. It does not unlock a locked sim card.
Have you ran the sim unlocker?

I'm in Bolivia. I have a samsung galaxy s, I unlocked with SUperOneClick (for rooting) and sgs tool to unlock it. Then after using a local carrier for about two weeks my phone got the mm#6 error. I was looking for solutions, and then my brother realized that I have to register the phone with the line (IMEI with line). Here in Bolivia exists a law that block phones if they are not registered at someones name and Id. So with nothing to lose, I called assitance of the carrier and register the IMEI I found in the Android menu (About phone>status>IMEI) with the GSM chip/line I have. Wait for 20 minutes and voilá! phone got signal and it's working now. I hope still working from now and on. SO IF YOU HAVE THIS TROUBLE CALL YOUR CARRIER AND REGISTER YOUR PHONE'S IMEI WITH THE LINE YOU ARE USING, IT'S SIMPLE. YOU CAN TRY THAT BEFORE GETTING INTO SOFTWARE STUFF.
HOPE THIS HELP SOMEBODY.
GOOD LUCK!
I have the Touch Cruise(Polaris) and for about 3 months now it will not read a sim card. I have tried like 5 different ones and still says sim card missing. I was wondering if someone knows what I can do to fix this problem? send me a pm and let me know if possible.. Thanx guys
Sim card problems
My Touchcruise has got problems to read Sim cards again. First repair solved the problem for about three weeks. I hope they are able to fix it in the second try.
Same happens to mi and I've found no solution so far. Maybe replacing the SIM socket will help.
Do you know what they did to solve the problem.
I'm getting crazy with this SIM card missing...

i have problem with my nexus s ii cant get in my carrier network im promoted to write my pin code but when im writing it and press ok the phone cant find nothing stuck with no singal what should i do
i think is general problem i tried my sim card on another device the same and my friends father doesnt have singal on the samsung galaxy 3 in the mornig before leave to the job show its general problem
Have you done anything to your phone since the last time it worked? Any updates? Did you flash your rom/radio? If you tested it on someone else's phone and it didn't work there either I'd say it's your sim card. Try in a 3rd phone just to be sure, but I'd consider taking it to your Cell provider to get the sim card checked out.
Call your carrier.
My phone is on airtel network. last few days I am not getting signal properly. if change the phone I am getting full signal. but in Lenovo it is fluctuating from null to full. Maximum of time it has no network. Please someone suggest me what to do.
Thanks
Ashis
Hi,
We need to know your device model number to see if there's anything about this on XDA, or the best place to ask. But if you did nothing to the phone at all, and this just started happening, it's likely a carrier issue of some sort, or Sim card issue. Or hardware... Did anyone drop your phone?
Thanks!
Hey,
Yesterday I was just going through my phone when suddenly my SIM card stopped working. I tried rebooting, taking sim card off and that stuff. I really dont know what to do as my phone now cant detect my SIM card... I am using rooted android 5.1.1

I also had have this issue. For almost 6 month I saw a message like "device couldn't search all networks, please check your sim card". Last Monday SIM dies completely. I needed to solder a new sd/sim card reader. Now it works fine again.
