how to sim unlock? - Samsung Galaxy S II Plus

is there any solution, that i can unlock my phone to use different sim card currently its looked at Telenor Serbia? i know s2 has some programs, etc but is that legal i don't want to brake my warranty or phone? and if its possible how to do that i mean in anyway, but not brake anything? i will backup i just wanna be sure its safe... and btw my phone is i9105p

Hi my friend. I think that you can't unlock your sim card without losing your warranty. You just can go to the near mobile service and pay 1000RSD for unlock SIM

Try flashing with another region firmwares, it succesfuly once on grand duos
OrdinaryNoob

i flashed nordic firmware and insterted diffrent sim card and again it asks for unlock pin etc.. so i think that it won't work when change firmware..

Try from different continent, it shoul be work, last time i've tried galaxy grand duos its sim locked abu dhabi, then I flashed with rusian firmware and its work like charm, try your luck man
Edit: logically if newer devices was possible to break the sim.unlock, note that this 2 devices has same BCM processor too, keep tryin'
OrdinaryNoob

one more question, if i try different firmwares that wouldn't brake anything on my phone? i am thinking to flash serbian telekom firmware, maybe it will then work, now i am downloading Italian firmware, and i will try it

Its just software based, nothing to worry about, language problem, may its not containing your local language. Make sure that you better try firmware which its not containing any provider/carrier even other carriers
OrdinaryNoob

i flashed Italian, inserted different carrier sim and again it asks for unlock pin.. but shows signal on phone, even when i dismissed it, but when i try call it says not registered on network.

Wait, i'll.take some suffer be back here for 40min
Edit, ok you there??lets try our noob luck, which carrier you're currently locked to, which country that device from??
OrdinaryNoob

Have youvtried this one??
OrdinaryNoob

This one too, make sure you're rooted, busybox installed to, works on galaxy s3
OrdinaryNoob

didn't tried the french fw because i don't know if its 4.2.2 or not, my phone is on 4.2.2 if it matters, and installed this app and busybox but look what it says

Galaxsim failed, ok this devices s2ve/p not widely world distributed, as it only has small countries and not much firmware options.which country you're and what carriers you're locked to????

Keep in mind that's must be a way to unlock it, as it shouldn't harder than apple's simlock method, after you flashed other firmwares did it changed your baseband details???see in setting.
OrdinaryNoob

i am in serbia, its locked at telenor serbia

Maybe this help you: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.sgs2simunlockcode. Don't know does it work plus version

@rs tony no luck with that or any app like that because of efs partition is hidden or something like that or it even don't exist. @SH1M4BD3 thx for all help but all i can see is no unlock without service..

After installing jb 4.1.2, galaxy s2 locked to a network

Hi,
I bought a samsung galaxy s2 gt-i9100 UNLOCKED. Yesterday I installed the jelly bean 4.1.2 pre released firmware, after installation the phone switched on and promted me to enter the sim unlock code.

Well thats interesting...
Use chainfire or galaxsim unlock. They require root.
Yes, what you need to do is enter the SIM card unlock code that your carrier should have provided you with when you bought the SIM card - if they didn't give you one you'll need to ask them for it.
This is a security feature of the SIM card, and is not the same a network lock, which is coded into the phone's firmware and prevents it from being used on other networks.
I bought the galaxy s2 "unlocked".
But after experimenting with android i noticed that the phone was someday locked to a network and it was unlocked ( using an application ) and sold as "unlocked".
When i installed the new jellybean firmware, in which the installation contains the modem tar file, automatically arranged the nv data file to locked as it was the first time.
Now I have unlocked the phone using the galaxy s unlock application and moved to cm10 again
Thanks

The carrier is often not a great help and they sometimes charge a fee for unlock code. Plus the waiting time is frustrating.
I contacted support where i bought my phone and they provided no help.
It seems my phone was originally locked to O2 telefonica even though I bought it "unlocked" online. I suspect a lot of the grey imports have this problem as they temporarily unlock it and then sell it as unlocked. If you need help unlocking it again they're not interested...
I will stick to only Google branded/play store from here on, then I wont need to flash (or wait until the phone is obsolete) before finally getting an update via Samsung.

Jumping on the end of this thread.
I have a i9100m (bell - canada) and I have the CM10 nightly on it now. Since then I decided to unlock the phone -seeing as there were so many apps that I could do it with.
Not one has succeeded - Every app I have tried, except the one that you have to pay for from the store.. ANYONE know how much btw??
We still have the Bell account - upgraded the phone on the account to a Siii - and they still want $75 to unlock the Sii - thieves!!!
Looking for a suggestion - nothing on the phone is needed yet.. so .. should I downgrade it.. unlock with something in a different rom.. then back to Cm10? or is the galaxsim pretty cheap.. will work on 4.1.2 and I go with that?

[Q] PXXAMC1 network unlocking

hey guys,
my first post here although i've been reading xda for years when searching stuff. great forum, great guys
so here is my problem: i have an I9105PXXAMC1 bought months ago from t-mobile austria in wien, has stock firmware 4.1.2 and it seems that it is network locked. from my little knowledge i guess that it isn't that hard to reset this, is just something like a file somewhere in the android os system? i've seen apps on google play claiming that they can network unlock but i guess they need a rooted device.. but: this is just my feeling about things, maybe i'm wrong, so, please, i need your help:
what should i do in the simplest way to network unlock this phone? i've read threads listing firmwares, there are also rooting guides but i see many differences based on the exact baseband version of the phone and now i actually don't know what should i do.
do i need to root the phone? what's the right guide for this baseband version?
if i do it is there a way to get back to stock version in the unfortunate case that the phone has issues and i have to send it back to warranty?
please, someone give me a head start
thanks much!

thanks, but which firmware? there is no PXXAMC1 only PXXAMC2 the closest and there are also many variants like XEO, DBT, PHN x RDS/ROS
is AMC2 ok for AMC1? what's the difference between all those versions and which one should i choose?
thanks!

thanks, if i understood things well, after flashing a prerooted firmware, i can simunlock the device with some techniques/apps, right?
or the safest is just to buy a network unlock code from the internet?

edit:
ok, just saw your edit.. so only the unlock code will work? how come? why those from 'seitengassenjugoshop' (i guess you meant those little mobile shops where they do repairs, decode, etc) can do it without the code? or they buy this code also?
if code is only solution: where should i buy it? i don't trust those websites and they also don't seem very cheap.
I dont know how it is with our device but i had the same problem with the htc desire c from my little brother and after i unlocked bootloader flashed cwm, a custom Firmware and rooted it the simlock was gone.

ok, so you are saying to first start with this prerooted firmware you've linked me, try eventually some simunlock apps and if it doesn't work try CWM's way with some firmware like cyanogenmod?
i guess that would void warranty in an irreversible way, or there are ways around it?
i've done it with CWM then tried many custom firmwares on my i9300 months ago, i guess i can manage to work my way through that. currently running CM 10.2 that just got in few days ago for i9300. the only thing is not to brick this i9105p, it's not mine, it's a friend's
U can reset binary counter with triangle away from chainfire.
So warranty is back
Sent from my GT-I9105P using xda app-developers app
ok, so i've tried many things, now trying stuff with CM10.1, but still no luck.. well, i guess that buying the code is the only solution for this phone?
i've also read about http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1731931 method but can't find that nv_data.bin file anywhere in my /efs!
actually, all the files in /efs are very small and seem of no use.. what's wrong with those i9105p phones?
anyway: does anybody know a good trustworthy source for buying a code? of course, at the most reasonable price possible.

Hello
It doesen't matter what stock 4.2.2 you flash, branding firmwares like orange or vodafone or else don't lock your device in that network, it just have branding apps like tv,deezer and others. You can flash any 4.2.2 update, you can find in our developer settings a thread about rooted firmwares without loosing warnity(bad english).
If your device is unlocked from the shop your brother bought it it doesen't matter the brand firmware.
Even you can install cm11, that is more flawless and faster but not stable.
I recommand you to try all those options, but after all make a backup for any situation
Hope that is what you mean by this post. Seeya.

[Q] Sim Lock after Lollipop upgrade.

Hi there,
I have a Tesco 1st Gen Moto G and I recently upgraded to Lollipop.
It works fine now, but after getting a new Sim Card, when I put it in, I get the Sim Lock Code message. I've previously unlocked the phone and I'm unsure whether it is a Network lock (Like Tesco lock) that has somehow came back after the flash - Or if it's a lock that I have put on the phone. (Would that carry over after flash?)
So confused right now and I only have one attempt left before I'm locked out.
Please help. You're my only hope.
Sounds to me like a sim lock. I have flashed ROMs onto many different phones and the security lock from one ROM has never carried over to the new ROM.

Thanks mate. Much appreciated.
I've tried three different suppliers.
Each have said that my phone is not on the database.
(I'm assuming it is unlocked?)
Did you get the imei # by using the dial pad?
Yeah man - On all three occasions the vendor had to reimburse me.
I genuinely don't get it - but I've even tried resetting my PIN with my PUK and even that won't let me edit it.

Hmmm - This is interesting. I've not got the original code that I got when I first unlocked it - And each vendor I bought from said my IMEI was not in the database.
Gutted.
So you think I should flash the rom?
A shame you don t have the original code... Not sure flashing a new ROM will solve your problem (but you have nothing to loose).
I know a guy on eBay very efficient who sales code for 2 bucks. Do you want his contact ?
