Hello,
I have unlock the boot loader for the Moto G XT1032. If I flash a custom ROM to the phone will it remove the network lock on my phone?
I have tried unlocking but no one can find the code for it.
I have a
Model: Moto G XT1032
Network operator: Not too sure because the phone use a Virgin Mobile sim card (Canada) but the retailer i purchased the phone from said it locked to Bell (canada). The phone kernel says "Bell Mobility".
I have tried unlocking the phone using both virgin and bell and no one can give me the code.
Kernel Version: 173.44.30.falcon_umts.BellMobility.en.CA
Please help.

if you flash a custom rom on your phone it wont unlock the network lock. I also purchased a virgin mobile moto g then i bought the unlock code on ebay and unlocked it to use with rogers pretty much the next day after ordering the code through ebay.
just search on ebay.ca "motorola Moto G unlock code" and youll c a bunch of results. You can ask virgin for the unlock code but theyll likely charge you alot more for it.
happy days and lovely nights.

Hello,
Are you talking about Virgin Mobile in Canada. I a seller on ebay but he said he couldn't get me the unlock code. Could you direct me to who you used.
Also Virgin Mobile in Canada is owned by BELL (canada). What network carrier should I tell the seller especially since my phone kernel said bell mobility

good luck
So your phone was using a Virgin Mobile (Canada) SIM card? If so what did you put as your network carrier?

Could you please let me know

What network carrier you used when unlocking your phone (If Virgin Mobile (canada) or Bell (canada))

3.4.0 kernel version
OK, I don't want to hijack the thread, but I have a very similar issue and would very much appreciate some help.
I've bought a Tesco Moto G, XT-1032, which I've updated from 4.3 to 4.4.2 and is currently running the 176.44.1.falcon_umts.TEscoSL.en.GB update. Still haven't received 4.4.3 but whatever. I plan on using it on the Globul network in Bulgaria.
My issue is that I have tried network unlocking it 3 times - using unlockphone.co, freeunlocks and an ebay key - and failed. The reason with all three attempts was this: "Unfortunately, your unlock code was not available/Not Found on the database/server so I have issued full refund."
I am at a loss. I have successfully unlocked three Moto G's (XT-1032) just a couple of months prior to this one.
Has anyone seen anything like this before? How should I go about solving this issue?
I would very much appreciate some help.
EDIT: I should mention that unlike the original thread, the phone is still 100% stock.
I had simillar problen with code not found in database but there is another database so buy from this guy and from this auction. it is not cheap but it could work. :
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160993247848&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:GB:1123
My problem is that I have installed custom ROM and phone is now not asking for unlock code. I have received unlock code but now I do not know how to enter it. Does anyone know any code for entering this code ?

Model number XT1032 is the Canadian model of Motorola Moto G and rogers, koodo, fido, telus & virgin mobiles offers this model. If it works with bell mobility then, Wipe the phone and do a factory reset. Then order the code here http://phoneunlockingshop.ca with bell mobility. Unlock code for this model are easily available now
Try to use phoneunlockingshop.ca for getting unlock code. because by flashing and rooting it`s network would not unlock

Hi I am going to buy the boost mobile moto g. Firstly is it CDMA only. Also can I flash any rom of moto g in it. And lastly how to unlock it so that I can use any GSM/CDMA SIM. I live in another country. And here boost mobile is not present. Plz help
Boost Mobile Moto G is CDMA only. CDMA phones don't take SIM cards, and the only unlock available is bootloader unlock via Motorola's website. If your country doesn't have CDMA carriers, don't buy the Boost Mobile, US Cellular, or Verizon Moto G, unless you plan on using it on Wi-Fi only

Nope, US Cellular is the network operator, they do service uprepaid and others. Same level as Verizon or T-Mobile.

I got a "free" moto G from Boost Mobile when switched my T-Mobile number. However, I found I couldn't unlock my bootloader. The $40 monthly plan seems too expensive for me. I want to flash it to other service provider.

I recently purchased a T-mobile Xperia Z3 D6616 with the hopes of using it internationally but it seems it can't be unlocked traditionally by entering unlock code. When inserting a non t-mobile sim there is no prompt to enter unlock code. Since i am not a T-mobile customer i can not utilize the "Device Unlock" app that comes pre-installed on the ohone. So my question is... Is there any other method of sim unlocked the T-mobile branded Xperia Z3 D6616?
Try flashing a generic ftf and see if it asks you for a unlock code
Thanks for your response. I actually tried to flash the generic d6603 ftf but to no avail. Just got back a lot of errors in flashtool. Do you know if the have a generic ftf for the d6616?

As far as I know no, espescially since bootloader in also not unlockable yet, only way is to be on contract with the phone on T-Mobile for at least 45 days. Also you are better off getting other versions of the Z3 as they support a lot more LTE bands.
Thanks for your response. I guess i'll try contacting T-mobile customer service to see if they can offer any advice.
Thanks again.
Are you a T-Mobile customer in the US going on trips or did you just buy it to use it in your home country?
Purchased it for use in the West Indies but looks like I won't be able to use it after all.
Better return it and get the international version. Even in US D6603 is the unlocked version.
The D6616 has only 3 LTE bands and may not be compatible in your area, for LTE service. Only advantage of the D6616 is that it has 32GB vs 16GB for other versions.
Would it be possible to create a flashable generic ftf for the z3 d6616 by editing some of the files of the generic d6603 ftf?
No
Ok, thanks for your response.

Its an over the network unlock. No TMO no unlock. Only way around will be if you root which we can't as of now.
Only way
The only way I managed to unlock it was using the unlock app and meet the requirements from t-mobile to work (like been a t-mobile customer).
when you guys with the unlocked D6616 go to the service menu does it say Bootloader unlock allowed: yes or does it say Bootloader unlock allowed: no. i used the app to unlock and it says no

hi
i have a d6616 tmobile version and bought the unlock code, non able to input the code, and not able to unlock with the stock app, dual recovery installed and rooted already, is there a way to put the simunlockapp.apk in the system and then using titanium backup pro, to make it internal so after rebooting, simunlock code prompting?
or to flash a rom that prompts the code
or is there any metropcs z3 rom that surely can be flashed even with locked bootloader to tmobile version?
any help
than you very much indeed
On some phones like the Sprint LG G2 there was a work around using root and the HTC M8 using root+SuperCID, but is most cases root won't help with the SIM Lock.
Only thing you can do is, give it to a TMO user for 40 days and then T-Mobile will unlock it, over the air after you call them.

apparently on 4.4.2 you could can not as of yet. I doubt one will come, it appears both the software and the bootloader is very secure. Don't hold your breath if this phone gets updated to lollipop. Best option is to sell the moto g on ebay and purchase another moto g that is factory unlocked and not tied to att. I will never puchase a cricket/att device ever again
Yes, I unlocked my Cricket (AIO) xt1032 with Sunshine. http://theroot.ninja/
(it costs 25$ to do it though...and it won't work on 4.4.4, but Cricket/AIO never pushed the 4.4.4)

ohhh lucky you but isnt that the non-LTE motoG?
Yeah, the xt1032 is the non-lte version
So basically, all of us with Cricket branded devices running 4.4.4 are screwed, and never getting Lollipop?
I chatted with a Cricket rep the other day and they said they have no plans to upgrade XT1045 to Lollipop.
Does anyone have an explanation as to why Motorola won't give out bootloader unlock codes for these devices?

Because at will not let you unlock the boot loader to your device. As many of us know cricket was bought out by att. So now cricket is now a part of att network and att will not let Motorola let their customers unlock their boot loader through their website. If the moto g LTE is on 4.4.2 or 4.4.3 then you can easily go to the root.ninja website and they will unlock it for a price of 25 bucks. Once its unlocked that boot loader cannot be locked again even after a system update. As for lollipop I am not sure that they will or will not give the system update for the moto g LTE. Cricket is well known for not knowing what they are talking about when it comes to their devices. But if you can unlock the boot loader then theirs really no need to wait for the system update as cm12 is just as good as lollipop. In my opinion its better than stock lollipop

I am not a customer of AT&T or Cricket. I should have the right to do whatever I want to my phone. This would probably lead to nothing, but I wonder if any legal avenue can be taken here.

As I to feel like we should be able to do whatever we want to with the phones we buy. However the agreement between Verizon and at with Motorola prohibits them to let us unlock our devices through Motorola website. Which means that we have to find a way through other means like developers finding a loophole. This thing has been going on for years with Verizon and att. Even though you bought the phone outright from cricket, they are still att branded phones which blocks you from unlocking the easy and free way. However with sprint and tmobile your able to unlock it. I have the boost mobile CDMA moto g and had no trouble on the Motorola website. If you can go through the legal avenue on this one and achieve then you have no idea how many hands would be shaking yours from att and Verizon.lol
Hello,
Is there a way to carrier unlock the Moto G XT1031 on 4.4.4 from BoostMobile? I bought it certified pre-owned and I want to use it on TracFone. I read a few posts on the Internet that say that say unlocking the phone won't work past 1/15/2015... is this still the case on pre-owned devices? Or just for new devices bought after that date?
I'm a huge noob at this. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Well you don't carrier unlock cdma phones you flash them to another carrier. As for moto g on any thing else but boost sorry it is a no go. Unless like the lg g2 it is possible to say take a rom from vzw and put it on the boost variant and make it a verizon. The lg g2 sprint can be carrier unlocked by flashing a tmobile rom that has been modded. Found that out here on xda and did it.
Hi,
I purchased a sprint locked phone in USA and got it unlocked.
The phone is working with sim of another domestic carriers (USA) but not working with international sim card (India).
Can you please give me any directions on what to do?
Samsung is asking me to contact sprint and sprint says that they have unlocked it domestically and internationally as well and not able to provide any other support.

Is it asking for a code on inserting Indian SIM? if so, it's not unlocked.. check ebay remote unlock method for abt 7-10usd.
If it's not asking for a code, Try to toggle aeroplane mode and see.
Or try flashing U1 firmware (unlocked model version)
it is not asking for any unlock code while entering Indian SIM card.
however, there is no signal if I insert indian SIM (tried Airtel and Jio so far). These sim are working in other cellphones.
