Blur Lockscreen - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone...
Can anybody point me out where to locate any tutorial on how to embed a toggle tick/untick button to make a Blur Lockscreen?...
Image below is what i mean...

You can't simply "embed" a feature. In order to add that to your ROM, you would have to download the source for the particular ROM you want it added to, find the commit for the lock screen blur (I believe its somewhere on Paranoid Androids gerrit), then you'd cherry pick the changes and build the modified ROM.
Another option would be to use xposed along with a module such as Gravitybox which contains the lock screen blur feature.

Theming Lockscreen

Hi,
I'm currently making a theme for CM6.1 RC2. I was wondering if there is a way to edit the unlock slider. I was able to find the lock, sound, etc. icons but can't find the bar when ur in the process of unlocking.

The images you need to change are in /system/framework/framework-res.apk. You'll need to change the images in /res/drawable-hdpi. The images you need to switch out are the ones that start with "ic_jog, jog_dial" and "jog_tab".
Check out this thread for a deeper explanation.

Thanks! I was able to change it. Here's the results

Overlay

Hi guys and girls.
just thought id give the app "Overlays" a mention.
Basically it allows you to float any of your installed widgets on top of your screen so that they are still visible when using your apps/browser etc.
The app also allows you to size and set the transparency of the widgets.
Its really easy to use and there is a lite version for you to play with - see more at the XDA portal thread.....
Overlays Thread
Its pretty cool and well worth a shout, especially for us tablet owners :good:

[q] gt-n8013 rom

OK, reading that KitKat isnt even available yet.. Does anyone know of a good ROM that has split screen functionality but that is also KitKat? Also, I'm rooted on a GT-N8013 now on 4.1.2 and I have the native recovery console. What do I need to do to flash a ROM?
EDIT: I'd sort of like s-pen but not a deal breaker.
I use a combination of switcher apps and Xposed modules to create my own brew of multi-window experience.
In this screen, I'm using Fancy Switcher, and XHaloFloatingWindow, and this combo works on ANY AOSP based ROM.

Get back AOSP lock screen back, and add upto 7 shortcuts to it

AOPS lock screen looks more useful and utilizable .
To get it back in your Xperia C, you just need to have a rooted xperia C, and a root browser.
Just Go to /system/app and find file "XperiaLockscreeen.apk" Rename it to "XperiaLockscreeen.apk.bak", and you are done.
You will get back AOSP lock screen.
Now to add custom shortcuts to it, use Gravitybox with Xposed framework.

is there a way to turn the popup menus like the shutdown menu to black instead of grey?
I'm running a 4.4.4 AOSP Rom...

Anybody?
You need to edit some textures in your framework-res.apk. The files are in the /res/drawable folder. You will see which ones you need to edit.

Sadly I'm a Greenhorn...
Now I'm using HKTheme Manager with CM JellyBlack Theme from the Play Store!
You need xposed framework...
