[Q] Xperia J - not booting - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

Hello dear forum users.
So i today my friend gave me Xperia J with words that it doesnt boot and he dont know how to fix it. Since i already worked with some Xperia phones, i told him i will try to fix it.
So far, no luck.
Important things i dont really know: what rom was there, if BL is unlocked or not etc.
I have tried Flashtool as 1st.
I installed all the drivers, downloaded device list via git etc. Flashtool recognizes the phone, but as i try to flash it, i get error with loader.sin. I did some research and i have read it has something to do with the bootloader. So tried to unlock it again - no luck, same error. I always get stuck at that loader.sin error.

So I decided to give a try to PC Companion, but in the middle of repair it says error 100, and will not continue.
So far as i know, SUS doesnt support Xperia J, so its out of play.
Guys, any advices on my problem? It looks like the only way to do something is trough Flashtool but i didnt have luck yet. Any help?
thankyou

I have similar problem with not booting J
and SUS worked. But phone don't boot anyway

How did you manage to repair it? I dont have Xperia J in the listed devices

SUS and PC Companion doesn't work with UB, so try flashing ICS ftf with flashtool.

I didn't. I think it is dead. I will never buy phone from Sony again. I was totaly disappointed.

Oh well, looks like its not posible to repair it. I tried multiple stock roms with flashtool and i get the same loader.sin error every time. Even if its soft brick it looks like i will have to sell the phone for parts. :crying:

Xperia X10 green light blinking and vibrating but not turning on

Guys can you please help me? yesterday (June 9, 2011) I brought my Sony Ericsson Xperia X10i to a technician they tried to flash my phone but it always fail even when using an activated box. They tried to use SE companion and updated it with the update software (i just don't know what version they use or if it matters too) but it always cuts out but resumes when he connects it again until the update is finished. But when it gets on software install it never proceeds and stuck up and never proceed again. They tried to do hardware reset and still it wasn't resolved. And now everything is sinking in to me, now i feel so frustrated to have it back to life. Anyway it was sent to me by my uncle from UK and it was hardly used, never fell and just got it via DHL. Please help me to fix these.
I'm no expert, but it looks like you may have actually received a faulty device. Sony should replace it. Otherwise, try flashing it with FlashTool.
yeah but too bad i can't do it anymore as if i do so i should send the device back to uk and it will also cost me a lot... now im really hating sony ericsson devices. well, now, i'll just wait for few more days for my iphone as a replacement from my uncle. x10 will never be a real smartphone device.
By the way, did you unlock the bootloader? Because when I unlocked my bootloader and tried to do a software update on my Xperia Play, I ended up having a very similar problem with my phone (as did countless other people). Thanks Sony Ericsson! Now I have managed to bring my phone back to life but everything works on my phone except the actual phone part-- ie, I can't make calls. I had to pay $40 for a special unlocking procedure to get the phone unlocked again (and I'm still waiting for the service, because it's currently down). So basically Sony really screwed us over...
Sent from my R800i using XDA Premium App
actually i don't even know what that bootloader is, and haven't got it turned on when i received the phone + I'm very sure that my uncle who sent the phone haven't done anything with the phone as he never tried to explore any phones aside from using it for texting and calling.
Had one same problem hold back button plug in usb and use the restore tool in pc companion

can't find a restore tool in pc companion...where can i find it?
or is it that the reason why i don't see any other option in my PC Companion is because i can't even turn my phone on??

Is this thread still alive?\
I HAVE EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO. :'(
Try to reinstall with SEUS !!!!
Having the same problem, green light blink once followed by vibrate, then nothing
It happened when I tried to boot into recovery mode and rebooted without knowing what I did (the recovery menu was all messed up). I had a working generic 2.1 loaded, and was trying to load a custom rom. I also have tried to unlock the bootloader before I went to the recovery mode.
After that,I have tried flashing different versions of firmwire using the flash tool, but I always get the message telling me to turn on usb debugging. Any pointers would be appreciated at this point...
I am having the same problem and haven´t found a solution.
Flashtool and SEUS are not working.
Same problem here, cause unknown.
Trying to find a way to install new software without the phone booting.
I have the same problem I tried to flash via flashtool and it shows this message. The phone is vibrating but not turn on please help

[Q] Xperia e bootloop error - search fixes not working

I have an Xperia E (Single Sim).
I have unlocked the bootloader using the official Sony method and, as it seems, like many before me, my phone is stuck in a bootloop.
I have tried the solution noted here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40911422 by bg.shishir
Unfortunately when I run flashtool the following is the outcome

I'm guessing it might be something to do with USB debugging being off, but because it is stuck in a bootloop I can't get into the phone to change that.
Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be much appreciated, as my phone is effectively bricked! I just want to get it working again - nothing more.
Xperia factory reset method
Update - I have got it working again!!! Woohoo.
Now you custom ROM peeps won't like this fix - but for the likes of me who just got real scared thinking my phone was bricked, its exactly what I wanted.
This fix takes you back to the original ROM. I'd seen someone else mention it, but didn't understand the post. So, if you come across this one and you are like me.... (well, let's hope you're not, but hey!)... then this is what you do:
1) Download and install the official Sony PC Companion.
2) Click on the Support Zone button
3) Click on Software update
4) The next screen has a repair my phone link (not the button on the bottom - read the everything on the screen and you should find it)
5) click here and follow the instructions
I'm presuming that this has just created the standard ROM on my phone, but its working like it should.
I got so stressed over this, so if you need anything explaining above, just post a message and I'll try to help.

How to root your 'Sony Xperia E C1504/C1505'

Hello!
This is an easy to follow guide for everybody wanting to root their Sony Xperia E C1505 (Locked Bootloader).
Disclaimer! Proceed at your own risk! I am not responsible if anything happens to your phone. Although if you follow every step carefully, you won't have any problems. Also back up your data!
Lets talk a little bit about root and why rooting is needed. Well, actually, rooting isn't needed, but if you have a rooted phone, you realize how much more you could actually do with your phone. All these apps that require root, custom ROMs, overclocking and much, much more!
Make sure USB Debugging and Unknown Sources are enabled!
First off, we are gonna grab the stuff that we need:
·Flashtool
·Framaroot APK (Download the latest version)
·Sony Xperia E Stock Firmware 11.3.A.0.47
·Sony Xperia E Stock Firmware 11.3.A.2.23
Once you have downloaded everything, install Flashtool. Run it.
Select the lightning icon and click Flashmode.
Select the 11.3.A.0.47 Firmware and click flash.
Boot your phone into Flashmode by doing the following - Unplug your phone, turn it off, hold down the volume down key and then connect the USB cable.
Once it's flashed, unplug and turn on your phone. By the way, WiFi will not work, but oh don't worry .
Now go back to Flashtool, connect you phone and select the Arrow icon and locate where you saved Framaroot. Install it.
Now on your phone open up Framaroot. Make sure SuperSU is selected and click on Gandalf.
It should say that it has successfully rooted (Sometimes on the first try it might freeze, just click the home button and kill the task, then re-open it). Now reboot your phone.
Once rebooted, go back to Flashtool, with your device connected and select the Lightning icon and Flashmode. This time though, you are gonna select the 11.3.A.2.23 Firmware. Click flash.
Boot your phone into Flashmode the same way we did earlier. Let it flash.
Once it's finished, you should have successfully rooted your phone. Now everything should be working, including WiFi.
LET THERE BE ROOT!
If this guide helped you, then please click thanks!
Any questions? Just ask them and I'll answer!

I'm about to try this method on an Xperia C1504, is it ok to go ahead? I mean, has anyone tested it successfully on the C1504? I'm on f/w build 11.3.A.2.13 at the moment, bootloader unlockable: No.
Is there a chance that trying this will brick the phone?
ed: Just tried the first flashing step, unfortunately it ended with errors:

Any clues what I did wrong there?
ED1: Found this post, followed that sequence and it worked! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44170201&postcount=5
ED2: Oddly enough, WiFi worked fine after flashing 11.3.A.0.47. However, the "arrow" icon in FlashTool was disabled, so I couldn't install Framaroot from there. Instead I booted the phone, installed ES File Explorer from the Play Store (the phone didn't have its own file explorer app) and installed the Framaroot APK from there (after copying the APK onto the phone from the computer). Framaroot ran and successfully rooted! (I had tried Framaroot on the original firmware, but it did not work). Yippee!
ED3: One odd thing now, I can't seem to get it into flash mode, to flash back to 11.3.A.2.23. Checked all the settings, debugging, etc. everything looks ok. Strange. But if WiFi is currently working ok in 11.3.A.0.47, is there any reason to flash back to 11.3.A.2.23?

Bricked xperia e4

Hi everyone, I dunno if this is the right place for this but here I go:
I recently rooted my e4 e2115 (24.0.b.5.14) and after rebooting I got stuck in a boot loop and am not able to use pc companion's repair because at the end it shows the message "device not supported" even though I selected it from the menu before installation and the weird thing is that it doesn't show the device as xperia e4 dual but sony ericsson phone, but in the device manager it says xperia e4 dual. Not even flash tool works, as it freezes at error dumping partition 2, and this happened with the latest version, and previous releases gave the same error or device was not supported. I installed adb drivers from sony website and also flashtool's flashmode, flashboot and common drivers for jdm-platform board.
I am really desperate because I spent 15 hours straight trying to solve the problem and this is my last hope to unbrick it, as bringing it to a sony shop would cost me more than the phone itself. I've searched everywhere but I coudln't find a solution for my problem. Oh and recovery / fastboot modes work. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.
can anyone help? still stuck with a bricked phone..
edit: the bootloader is unlocked.

My version of Flashtool isn't the latest, I believe it is made in March. I used a .ftf (or .tft) to flash it back because I bricked it.
Oh, and I heard your battery percentage should be 50%+ and I'm charging it to see if it works then. Someone else said I have to keep the flashmode button (volume down) on as long as it flashes it..I don't know a lot of phone unbricking, I've only unbricked my tablet and that was a Galaxy Tab 3 10.1"

Okay, well 50+ & holding volume down didn't work..
can anyone please help me?
Try reinstalling the drivers it helped me
9.18.6 or earlier work better(no it's not the build date) are you wiping user data and cache when flashing ftf, have you tried a different region ftf it's possible to get Corrupted downloads. you do not need to hold the vol- pressed down while flashing only whilst connecting to USB/flashtool once green led goes out let go. I don't know who told you to hold it down whilst flashing but they obviously have no clue what they are doing themselves.

Hi Aidy.
My friend said the same you did, the file is corrupted, or so we think. I'm currently downloading another .ftf
I currently do not know how to wipe user data and cache while flashing, so could you tell me, because I'm in a tough situation - waste another gigabyte for nothing, or get it to work with wiping data.
Regards,
S
EDIT: I found out how to wipe cache and user data, that didn't help. I realized that the file is corrupted, because why would it say "Processing of loader.sin finished with errors."

I got an older version of Flashtool, that didn't help, as well. I am still stuck like earlier.
Please help. I DID install the drivers, but when I checked in flashtool it said no adb drivers and no bootloader drivers. I'm in need of real help from an mvp

So we have resolved the issue by switching from Windows 10 PC to Windows 8.1 PC, fully flashed and working!
I don't know, I did reflash my Aqua just recently (Wednesday, finally got the update for my region), used the newest version of Flashtool. I did get that error - I just restarted flashing process and everything went good. I'm on W10 x64.

Seems weird, what W10 edition? Pro?
Did you have fresh .tft straight from Sony Companion thingie?

I'm on W10 Pro x64, but I don't think that's the difference.
I made the ftf using the Flashtool (after downloading from Xperifirm).
Nothing else - just after first connecting it gave me error (might be Windows recognising correct drivers or something). Tried it again - of course, same setup, nothing changed - working flawlessly. (Might be that you need to hold the down button until it shows work in Flashtool?)
