Note - Java is needed to Run SDK Manager - Install JAVA​
The Reason that you would want to use Android SDK is because its very easy, it's well updated and it just WORKS! There is much more use with HTC devices with adb then with Samsung when it comes to the daily things like splash screens, radio updates, firmware. You will be dealing a lot with the bootloader and fastboot flashing. So to help out, I will post a helpful guide to help you get started for use with the HTC One M8.​

Part 1. Follow These Steps Below - (Preparation)
1. Download Android SDK For Windows
2. Click the
either the 32bit version or 64bit version
3. Create a folder in the C: and name it Android. See below
4. Place adt-bundle-windows in the Android Folder you just created. Use WinZip, WinRAR or 7-Zip to extract the contents inside the folder. See Below
5. Once extracted, Double click SDK Manager and instal all 4.4.2 and 4.3 items and under tools (SDK Tools and Platform Tools). See Picture Below
6. After all packages are installed and updated, download the latest HTC Sync Manager and install once download completes
7. Once Sync Manager completes installation process, go to control panel and uninstall HTC Sync Manager only, you will see HTC Driver in there as well (LEAVE IT THERE)
8. Important, make sure you enable developer options and turn on USB Debugging. Instructions Below if you are unsure how to do that
1. Go to Settings > About > Software information > More > Tap Build Number 5x
2. Once you get notification saying Developer options is unlocked go back to > settings
3. Click Developer options
4. Add check in the box USB Debugging
9. Plug phone into the computer and let it install all the drivers, you should see pop ups.

Part 2. Verifying ADB is set up properly and Working
1. Open Command Prompt and Change directories to your platform-tools folder. This is where all the adb files are located. See Below
In Command Prompt Type - Refer to Part 3 so you no longer need to Change Directory

3. If your output shows your device attached like below, then you are good to go!!!

Part 3. Environment Variables - No need to Change Directory in Command Prompt Anymore (This is if you want to - Not Required)
1. Press Win+R, then type sysdm.cpl
2. Click Advanced Tab
3. Click Environment Variables Button
4. Under System Variables, find Path, click to highlight it and then hit the edit button
5. Go to the end of the Variable Value and add the following exactly as you see it in the code box below

6. Click OK to accept the changes you just added
7. Open Command Prompt again to verify by pressing Win+R and type cmd and hit enter
8. Once Command Prompt is open -> Simply type adb devices with your device connected with USB Debugging already enabled
9. If you did everything correctly, there is no need to change paths anymore

USB 3.0 gets a bad rep. I do a lot of my adb with a USB 3.0 with few issues

I am aware that USB 3.0 does cause issues with adb, mostly the longer running ones it hangs sometimes, I don't have an answer for that right now, I am running with 2.0 still and I have zero issues.

I feel like such an idiot, but I want to be sure I'm getting the latest HTC Sync... I follow the link in the OP and it takes me to support.. I Google and the same thing happens.. They move it over at HTC?

And this worked flawlessly!! I was always afraid of going back to Windows 8.1 because of ADB/Fastboot being broken.. so far so good!! Side loading soon!!

since I heard many questions lately concerning flashing a boot.img onto the One S I decided to give you a small tutorial! (which should also work on any other device with bootloadermode)
If you have fastboot already installed on your PC it's very quick & easy!
Pls be aware that this could damage your phone & I'm not responsible for this. so only do this if you really feel comfortable with it & you know about the risks!

No, if you're using TWRP and are on a Hboot-version lower than 1.13
Yes, if you're using any other recovery (like CWM)

reboot your Phone into the bootloader.
This can either be done via
- powering off and keeping volume up & the power-button pressed
- the extended power-menu (If your ROM has it, just select "reboot" & then "bootloader")
- via adb, connect your phone with the pc, make sure it says "USB debugging connected", go to Android/platform-tools/ & then press shift while you perform a right click with the mouse, then choose "open prompt here", type

& press enter. Your One S should then reboot into the bootloader
I personally prefer one of the last two methods, depending which way occurs faster to me at that specific moment.

Excellent post, thank you. You could also mention the easiest way to boot into bootloader: a root enabled app like Quick Boot, or even Titanium Backup has the option.

You should consider adding an extra 3.5 step like this:

fastboot boot boot.img
This step is meant to test the kernel & ramdisk before flashing it. Of course, the phone might not be fully functional because the modules in /system/lib/modules might not be paired with the kernel in boot.img. But at least you can see your phone booting!

You need to do this due to the restrictions that are given with S-On.
The team behind TWRP somehow found a way to flash the boot.img sometimes. But for me (or my device) this didn't work.
this is very confusing to me

I decided to create this Beginner Friendly tutorial on how to install SDK tool mainly because recent phones such as the i.e. HTC One X / One X+ are requiring many basic usage of adb command line, and lots of members are having difficulities to have basics adb command to work because their SDK tool is not correctly installed. I won't show you how to make usage of it, there is plenty of How-to's for that purpose all around xda and on the Web.
This is all safe to install on your Windows based computer, and if you can not achieve success with this installation, well obviously, you shouldn't play the hacking game with your device. From now on, I or anyone else on the Internet can not be held responsible if something really bad is happening to you because you didn't read and followed any given instructions letters by letters and you ended with a screwed, pricey and valuable paperweight device. That being said, let's get started.​

On your phone simply follow this path : Settings -> Developer options -> Turn the option ON -> under Debugging -> tick USB debugging option Debug mode when USB is connected
That's it, done!

This is a prerequisite to have a flawlessly working SDK tool installation.
Click on the following link to download it on Java's website : Free Java Download
On the next page, do not click on Agree and Start Download, instead click on See all Java downloads.
Which should you choose? If you have a 64-bit Windows OS you MUST install the two versions (both 32-bit and 64-bit), otherwise the 32-bit is sufficient for a 32-bit Windows OS.
Before installing the latest version of Java, it is recommended to uninstall all previous Java's installation. (How to -> Remove Older Versions)
Complete the required installation depending of the type of Windows installation.
You are all done for Java.

First step is to download the SDK Manager, to do so click on this link -> Download the SDK
Next locate on the bottom of your screen the USE AN EXISTING IDE, click on it.
On the Get the Android SDK page, tick the I have read and agree with the above terms and conditions box and click on the Download the SDK Tools for Windows button.
Navigate to your Download folder, and locate a file named like this: installer_r21.1-windows.exe (N.B. The r21.1 version was available when I did this how to, your version could be different.)
Double click on the installer_r21.1-windows.exe file to start the installation. Take good note where the file will be installed, generally the default SDK path is : C:\Users\your_session's_name\AppData\Local\Android\android-sdk.
Now, navigate to the path of the SDK installation folder.
Select all (CTRL + A) in this folder and Copy (CTRL +C) them for the next step.
Now you need to create a new folder at the root of your C:\ drive named : AndroidSDK
Open up the newly created folder and Paste (CTRL + V) the previously copied files.
Stay in this folder and double click on the SDK Manager icon.
The SDK Manager will open a new window, click on Deselect All, then tick the following line in Tools : AndroidSDK Platform-tools
Click on Install 1 Package..., accept the license agreement and click on Install let the manager do it's thing.
Click on Done and close the manager's window.
Congrats! You have created successfully your SDK tool!
Wait! Let's clean your computer a bit....
Go back to the previous folder, the one located in this path : C:\Users\your_session's_name\AppData\Local\Android\android-sdk
Click on the Uninstaller, we don't need this one anymore. Don't worry the other AndroidSDK folder won't be deleted.
Voilà! You are done with this part.

Locate the Platform-tools sub-folder in the AndroidSDK folder.
Right click in a empty space of the folder and select in the contextual menu New -> Text Document
Open this new Text Document and Copy/Paste this : c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe
Save this file as : Start SDK.bat
Acknowledge the : If you change file extension... warning.
Right click your new created Start SDK and send a shortcut on your Desktop.
Done! If you try to double click on your Start SDK shortcut, a command window should open with something like these lines :

This one is very easy, simply download and run the installer and let Windows do the rest. Drivers compatbile 32-bit or 64-bit
Download the Self-install HTCDriver_4.0.1.001.exe/
Make sure your phone is not plugged on your computer via the USB cable.
Simply run the installer of the driver you've just downloaded.
Once the installation is completed, simply plug your phone via your USB cable and Windows "wizard manager" will now detect your phone.
If it doesn't work, unplug your phone and reboot your computer. Then plug back your phone once rebooted.
Done!

With your phone plugged on your USB cable...
From your Desktop, double click on your Start SDK shortcut.
In the command window, at the command line : C:\AndroidSDK\platform-tools> type this -> adb devices (Enter)
The serial number of your phone should appear in the command window. If it is the case, then try this again : C:\AndroidSDK\platform-tools> type this -> adb reboot (Enter)
Your phone will now Reboot
If all this worked, you have a successful SDK Tools installation!

Excellent tutorial... but I disagree with this line. No process is bulletproof and there is no way a tutorial can account for all the variables with Windows.
Which explains why I am now asking for help!
This is my third Android phone and fifth Android device. I've rooted all five and installed multiple ROMs and for the most part have not had too many problems.
I'm currently running Elegancia 5.3.0 on my AT&T One X+ and have a few issues that I'm tired of dealing with. I decided to flash the RUU to go back to stock and also to update to hboot 1.4 which is required for the Blackout ROM I was thinking about trying. The RUU cannot find my phone unless I connect while in the bootloader. Even then though, the RUU flash still fails. Since it cannot see my phone while it's running, I decided to check if ADB can see it. Nope. No luck at all. I have connected with ADB to my device many, many times... but it has been close to a year since the last time I did. I removed all HTC drivers and Sync from Add/Remove Programs, deleted my old version of the SDK and Java and followed your tutorial step-by-step.
My phone still shows up in Device Manager under PORTABLE DEVICES and I can't seem to make it connect any other way.
Please tell me you have a suggestion to help me fix this. I've tried using every combination of search terms I can think of and have had no luck for the past 36 hours.
Finally fixed my ADB problem using these steps in case anyone else runs into it.
This worked great for me after two days of trying to get my phone to connect. I had to uninstall everything related to java, android, and htc, and the link for the htc drivers was dead so I just reinstalled sync manager, but it all works now, much thanks. All this effort was just so I could put my music on the phone, and so that I could do a full backup to my pc without rooting.

Setup, Preparation and Prerequisites
Open command prompt - Press Window Key + R, type in "cmd" (without the quotes), and hit enter.
USB Debugging - On your nexus player go to Settings > About > Tap on Build number 7 times. This will enable Developer options. Now go back to Settings > Developer options > Enable USB debugging
Enter bootloader mode - Hold the button on the bottom of the device when you plug in the power cable, or enable developer options and "adb reboot bootloader"
Once you are in fastboot mode, the light below nexus player will be blinking constantly. You can verify by using "fastboot devices"
ADB Installation
Download the full Android SDK here (scroll to the bottom of the page>DOWNLOAD FOR OTHER PLATFORMS>SDK Tools Only) or get a slimmed version containing only the essential components here
Extract the zip and place the android-sdk-windows folder on your desktop.
**If you chose to download the slimmed sdk skip to step 5**
Only if you downloaded the full sdk: Go into the android-sdk-windows folder and run SDK Manager.exe. Install the following packages (there are a total of 4 packages):
- Tools > Android SDK Tools, Android SDK Platform-tools
- Extras > Android Support Library, Google USB Driver
Only if you downloaded the full sdk: Go back into the android-sdk-windows directory, and you should see a new folder named platform-tools. If you don't see this new folder, repeat the step above.
To confirm that it is indeed working, open a command prompt window and enter the following commands:

adb version
If it displays "Android Debug Bridge version x.x.xx" it is working. If it is gives an error saying that adb is not a recognized command, it has not been successful. Carefully repeat the steps above if this is the case. Close the command prompt window when you are done.
Show File Extensions - Open a command prompt window and run "Control folders" (without the quotes). Go to the View tab and uncheck the "Hide extensions for known file types" option. This will help avoid confusion when renaming files.
Backup (Optional) - Unlocking the bootloader will completely wipe all data from the device. This includes apps, settings and even the contents of the internal storage (pictures, music, etc.). Copy all important files off the nexus player onto a PC or upload them to a cloud.
Driver Installation
Go to Device Manager, find the Android device, and select Update Driver Software.
Select Browse my computer for driver software
Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
Selecting show all devices
Clicking have disk
Finally selecting Desktop\android-sdk-windows\extras\google\usb_driver\android_winusb.inf as the driver
Alternative you can also download and install the Universal ADB Driver.

Rooting this device is actually quite a simple and easy process. Before you begin, it is recommended that you at least try to understand what each part of the process will do. Although this guide will elongate each step in order to show all of the details, the method used can be broken up into 2 main steps: Unlocking the Bootloader and Rooting. Each new step relies on the previous step to have been completed, and a basic summary of each part is:
Unlocking Bootloader: Opens the door to the internal memory of the device to be written on to. This allows you to flash images onto the main partitions of the device in future.
Rooting: You can gain root booting up root.img
1. Unlocking Bootloader
Turn the nexus player off. Then go into bootloader mode by holding the button on the bottom of the device when you plug in the power cable, or enable developer options and "adb reboot bootloader"
Plug nexus player into your PC, then open a command prompt window and type:

This command will list the connected devices. If your nexus player serial number shows up you are good to go and may continue. If the nexus player is NOT listed this indicates that your drivers are not installed correctly. In order for you to continue you must fix your drivers so that your phone is listed under fastboot devices.
If the nexus player has been recognized by the command above, proceed to unlocking the bootloader with the following command:
Remember that this step will wipe EVERYTHING off the phone

Now that your nexus player has an unlocked bootloader, now this step is to gain root

Boot (not flash) the root image which will give you root with the stock ROM
Confirm that you have downloaded the SuperSU zip from the downloads section above and you have extracted it and it is located in the platform-tools folder inside of the android-sdk-windows folder on your desktop.
Make sure the nexus player is in bootloader mode
Open a command prompt window and run the following commands:

This will install SuperSU on your device, once the command has completed continue.
Open SuperSU and update the binaries.
Keep in mind that the first boot may take longer than usual.
Congrats! Your nexus player now has an unlocked bootloader, and is rooted.

How to flash factory image for Nexus Player?
1) Download image file for your nexus player - https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
2) Boot your Nexus device into fastboot mode.
3) On your computer, use 7zip to extract the .tgz file you downloaded from the Android Developer website. Use 7zip a second time to extract the .tar file you extracted from the .tgz. When you’re done, you should have a folder with several files in it.
4) Copy all of these files and paste them in the platform-tools folder in the Android SDK on your computer. If you followed the above tutorial, this should be under the C drive, then under Program Files (x86) on Windows. Linux users, you know where you put it.
5) If you have not already done so, connect your Nexus device to your computer. ADB and Fastboot commands should already work at this point if you’ve been following along.
There are two flash-all files. If you’re in Windows, you’ll want to double click the one that has the gear logo and says “Windows Batch File” on the right. If you’re on Linux, you’ll want to double click the flash-all.sh.
At this point a box should pop up and you should see the installation taking place. While this is going on, do not unplug your device for any reason. Let it do its thing.
6) Once the installation process as finished, your device will automatically reboot and you can now safely disconnect your device from your computer.

I have a USB OTG cable but the adapter is female on the available USB side...I am not sure how to go about connecting my laptop/PC to the NP in order to perform ADB commands. Do I need a special cable or is there another way?

Don't use the USB OTG cable, use a micro USB cable (same kind of cable that comes with android phones)
I cannot believe I missed that, how embarrassing. Thanks for the response, now I can follow this guide. I was thinking too hard about the OTG cable being a necessary piece of the puzzle.
I am able to get to the bootloader with no problems, I've got ADB and Fastboot installed on my PC, as well as the drivers. However ADB doesn't pick up my NexusPlayer even though fastboot does. Thoughts?

EDIT: Nevermind, I was expecting different responses from adb/fastboot. When in the bootloader adb will not confirm a connection, only fastboot. Sorry for being a noob...

I could be mistaken, but when you're in the bootloader you're going to use FASTBOOT and not ADB commands. So therefore the command should be "fastboot devices" instead of "adb devices"?

AFAIK ADB is for Android, and Fastboot is for bootloader.
But i have the oposite problem. Mine NP is getting recognized useing ADB when normaly booted, but when i am in fastboot mode, fastboot isent working. I get no output when run 'fastboot devivces'. I have both tried to set the NP in fastboot mode by using the hiod button and plug in power, and with adb rebbot bootloader.
Any one have a clue why adb works, but not fastboot?
Double check to see if you have the latest version of fastboot. I have read that if you don't have the most up to date version the NP is not recognized.

Have you re-installed the Google driver when you are booted in the bootloader? The driver needs to install twice: once when booted into Android, and once when booted into the bootloader
ADB fastboot for Mac Quick Question??
Hey guys does anyone have any idea on how this can be done on a Mac....I know I know. When I initially plug in my Nexus player with the micro usb, nothing happens on my mac or the Nexus so i am guessing that the drivers are not installed. How would i go about getting these for the Mac? I have already downloaded the slim version of the ADB and Fastboot files with the platform tools into a folder on my desktop named Andriod, so i have these already. And i know that if you hold the button down on the nexus and plug the power in it brings up the bootloader screen. I just need help with the commands in terminal and where to access the drivers from. Also, on the Nexus the Developer options have already been enabled and USB debugging has been turned on. If anyone can help, It would be much appricated! Just started to use terminal commands so yes i am a noob in this department . Thanks agin in advance.

If you're developing on Windows, you need to install a USB driver for adb. For an installation guide and links to OEM drivers, see the OEM USB Drivers document.
If you're developing on Mac OS X, it just works. Skip this step.

Open a terminal, navigate to the directory where you downloaded fastboot and go ahead with the commands shown in the first post. You will probably have to add a "./" in front of the commands given that you are on a mac, e.g.,

I seem to be having the same problem as goxboxlive. I have tried installing the drivers about 100x tried on several computers and rebooted many a time. The only thing I can think of from the posts in here was to update fastboot but I dled the android studio and I would assume that has the latest version in there? Otherwise I couldn't find somewhere to download just fastboot from. Any help or recommendations or where I can dl the latest fastboot?

[Guide] Root on Linux Mint

Rooting a Xiaomi Mi 4i on Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca
- This guide might also be relevant for users of Debian and Ubuntu
Disclaimer: I accept no responsibility for any damage you do to your phone, body, life or anything else in the past present or future.
This has been written as I had so much difficulty in getting my Mi 4i rooted. I kept trying to do it in Windows through Virtual Box but kept failing.
1. Enable Developer Options
- On your phone, go to Settings
- About phone
- Keep tapping on the Android version until the message at the bottom says that you are a developer
2. Enable USB debugging
- On your phone, go to Settings
- Additional settings
- Developer options
- USB debugging
3. Install the tools
Code:
sudo apt-get install android-tools-adb
sudo apt-get install android-tools-fastboot
4. Try and see the devices
- Connect the phone to your computer
- Run the following command at the terminal

adb devices
- It will now say List of devices attached.
- If you see another line with an 8 character identifier such as bf1b6529 then you can skip step 5
5. Add phone to known devices
- Run the following command on the terminal

echo 0x2717 >> ~/.android/adb_usb.ini
6. Add your computer to trusted devices on your phone
- Enter the following command on the terminal:

adb devices
- Look on your phone, it should now be asking you if it can add the machine to the trusted devices, or something like that. I'm writing this from memory.
7. Check that adb devices is working
- Enter the following command on the terminal:

- Check that the device ID is there (8 characters such as bf1b6529)
- Check that it says device after it
8. Kill adb
- Enter the following command on the terminal

adb kill-server
9. Now for the fun. You will need sudo access for this stage.
- Download boot.img to your computer.
- At the terminal, navigate to the directory where you downloaded boot.img, this will probably be ~/Downloads
- At the terminal:

...I find I wasn't even seeing the message because the flip cover was closed. Doh.
This is my second Android phone, and I rooted and installed CM on the previous one, a Defy+. Still feel very much a novice, and approaching the rooting is quite scary. Among my worries...
Does this method change the recovery?
Does this method, with boot.img, install a new rom, or does it root the exisiting one?
Will everything else be reset/wiped? (well, backups anyway. Of course).
Will Xiaomi updates still work and be installable?
I am considering using method 1 from "Root/Unroot V6.5.x W/out Losing Stock Recovery [Simplified]" (new member: cannot make that a link) . Any comments?

Thank you very much for attention to every detail. The only thing putting me off going for this straight away is that I am travelling in just over a week, which doesn't give me any margin for making mistakes (if they can be made, I will make them!).
You mentioned having failed to make stuff work in a virtual machine. Did you try Wine? I failed to make the Mi PC manager software run in Wine.

After the phone had rebooted, I just ctrl-c-ed the fastboot process and exited from the terminal.

Could only find ****ty .exe rooting tools that seemed sketchy and don't have windows installed anymore, so this saved me hours.
My computer could find the phone through adb and got authorized, the phone couldn't find my computer through adb though which was strange but it still worked fine. Thanks alot!

Disabled root from SuperSU and updated to the newest weekly developer rom, and my device is now in a boot loop.
I'm currently trying to download the stable fastboot rom from the MIUI forums, but their servers are both incredibly slow and unstable. Doesn't go past 100kb/s and the download loses connection after a while and fails to continue the download. If someone could provide a alternative download link that would be great.
EDIT: Found a hidden link on the rom page for the fastboot rom from the miui page. Go to this page and Ctrl-F Mi4i

I also got into a boot loop after installing the latest update. I installed the latest stable version. This worked, but the Play Store won't start.

Well, the stable fastboot rom isn't the global version, so i only used it to get my phone running again and then flashed the stable global version. Everything works as expected now.

Hey, this is a method only for Xiaomi Mi4i? I have an Estar Crystal-clearview and wondering if I can root it by this method? I run the terminal with the adb install and then for the list of devices attached, and I started thinking about!

Eventually I got around to doing this using Flashify. I followed the instructions here on the MIUI forum. It was simple and straightforward and I now have TWRP recovery.
However, when I tried to use it to do a backup, it said there was not enough space. But it was long past bedtime, and that is another story that I have yet to investigate. There is probably a simple answer, err... make more space! The absence of SD card slot and the limited internal memory is the big frustration about this phone.
But I want to upgrade MIUI --- and I don't want to do it without an easy backtrack to the previous ROM.

How to Install and Set-up
1. Install Java SE Development Kit (JDK) from Start Here section if you have not yet
2. Launch Android SDK installer you downloaded up above in Download Links
3. During install - Set Installation Path to
Code:
C:\Android\
4. After Installation is Complete, run SDK Manager.exe
5. Install 5.1.1 and 6.0 since these are the APIs for all current Devices. Should not really see anything less than 5.1.1
Note* - Just put a check box where you see the red circles in the picture. The reason I have Tools (Preview Channel) is because I updated to the 25.0.1 RC2 SDK Tools, however, that is not required. You can choose 24.4.1 and it will be fine. It will say installed where as mine does not in the picture because I chose to use 25.0.1 RC2
6. Let all updates install to completion - This could take a while depending on your internet connection

Part 2. Verifying ADB is set up properly and Working
IMPORTANT - Make sure you have already enabled developer options and USB Debugging or you will not see the below results
1. Open Command Prompt and Change directories to your platform-tools folder. This is where all the adb files are located. See Below
In Command Prompt Type - Refer to Part 3 so you no longer need to Change Directory

You Should get Prompted to Allow USB debugging - Ignore if You Already Have Done This
3. If your output shows your device attached like below, then you are good to go!!!

Part 3. Environment Variables - No need to Change Directory in Command Prompt Anymore (This is if you want to - Not Required)
1. Press Win+R, then type

2. Click Advanced Tab
3. Click Environment Variables Button
4. Under System Variables, find Path, click to highlight it and then hit the edit button

5. Go to the end of the Variable Value and add the following exactly as you see it in the code box below

6. Click OK to accept the changes you just added
7. Open Command Prompt again to verify by pressing Win+R and type cmd and hit enter
8. Once Command Prompt is open -> Simply type adb devices with your device connected with USB Debugging already enabled

Thank you so much for this - can i ask what's the size of the SDK manager files which we are supposed to download? For some reason it downloads in 86 kb/s speed (normaly 5-6 mb/s) so I just wanted to know if i'm going to wait a long time

Hey the installer size is 145mb. I was able to download it in 15 seconds
Updating sdk manager will take a while. I am not sure of the file size... It will take a while... You only have to do this once. Updates after this will be quick

I've tried it many times.... i have enough space on my drive, but everytime i try to download this one and only part, prints out this error message....why do i always have so many problems with it

Lol you and me both bro, but you don't have to install that, that is optional, the rest looks good. You should be able to use it now
Edit: looks like a network issue or the repository is down... That will work itself out.. Right now, it is not required

Sounds like your bootloader is borked, you should always be able to get into...Were you able to flash TWRP successfully? Not sure where you went wrong, I would try to push boot.img again, you should have a recovery

I followed steps till the one i got stuck in, so no i did not flash TWRP :/ or anything else. - It's weird that it is broken because it's new phone and i did not do anything to it, expect for right now :/ But sure I'll try

I think your bootloader may still be locked
Have you done this? Make sure USB Debugging is enabled, OEM Unlock is checked, You are in PTP, type adb devices and verify it sees your device then do the following Next:

If you look at the video you can see that i have both on and PTP too - without PTP cmd won't see my device...i think

Ok try this
1. Power phone off
2. Hold volume down and power together 3. Once LG Logo appears, let go of power for 1 second and press power again.. Never let go of volume down
4. Then chose to factory reset
This may resolve the issue so you can retry again

Ok another method
1. Install Terminal Emulator
2. Open the Terminal
3. Type# su
4. Type# reboot-bootloader
This should go straight to the bootloader, if it doesn't, I am at a loss

Thats not correct, su did not work, you should have a # symbol before the command, guess not being rooted doesn't help
edit: connect your phone to the computer and type the same command
I think strangely it is just recognizing adb reboot and omitting the bootloader, so try adb reboot-bootlader when connected to the computer
