None of those links are for HTC M8 and are more than two years old as in before the M8 was even released!, I'm not saying the M8 does not have this issue because I've never tested this, but at least post some currents links (links related to the M8 and after it's release) or an actual test you did yourself that validates what your're saying before being a total ****.

When I manually set my time, I'll get a spontaneous reboot roughly 25% of the time.
I'm in central and this is happening to me as well. A few other guys in the core droid thread have mentioned it too.
I've just had this start too. Go to market and install clock sync.
I don't want to install another application just for this. I guess NIST must be having some issues.

I did the same yesterday and has worked since
Happened to me this morning... really screwwed with my mind as the clock app and the notification bar were showing two different times... It didn't help that the power was out in the neighborhood, and I was relying exclusively on my phone's alarm clock this morning.
Haven't seen it happen since this morning.
Eastern Time Zone.
Happened to me today its the second time this week. Got to work and had my boss check his stock EVO which was suffering the same problem. I reset it by un-checking the automatic time update and then rechecking it.

Happened to me as well. I just unchecked and re-checked the automatic time and it reset it. Now I just leave it unchecked since I don't change timezones.

problems with messaging

I have this weird problem, whenever i text with friends, if i respond back within a minute and the time is the same, then my message will go above my friends message. But if i message back like 1 minute later then it goes below. So i only have the problem if i manage to message back within a minute and before the clock change.
Anyone else have the problem? I allready updated my phone to newest.
And after i did update my phone (did it through the post in the forum here) it wiped my phone complete, so i guess making another reset wont work maybe.
Yeah that's weird, doesn't happen to me at all, no matter when I reply
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA Premium App
My friend told me he had the error too on his HTC Hero when he used that.
So i guess it's either a Android or Sense problem. But i'm not sure what to do to fix it, if it's even possible lol.
I also read that sometimes the SGS1 would do that too, but there was no fix that I saw for it. It had something to do with the way the phone time-stamped the messages...
It is "inconvenient" but is it really a big deal? they are just messages after all...
Well no it's not that big a deal, since i have had it for some time now. But it can be annoying sometimes.
Got this problem on my wildfire. Not a big problem.

Neither of those threads have anything to do with the OP, bowers131.
Both of those threads have to do with the weird occurrences of SMS messages being randomly sent to other people, nothing to do with the placement (chronologically) of the posts which are in fact going to the correct person.
I also have it and had it with multiple phones also on wm phone:-o

I just meant that I've been out of the flashing scene for about a year until recently and this phone has a different method, plus the fact that it took me 2 days to get everything backed up, set back up how I like, etc. I've lost my nerve I guess. I used to be a serial flasher of roms back in the Eris days. New rom that nobody's tried yet? Sure thing. These days I'm even hesitant to flash something if it's tried and true and nobody is seeing any problems. Plus the fact that my hardware is messed up. (I dropped it in water twice by accident and the screen also broke in a separate incident)

Phone extreme overheating& battery drainage

So since yesterday every time I use my phone or even charge it my phone gets extremely hot! The screen especially and the back where the camera lies. I charged my phone for 6 hours there with no use and it has only went up a 4-5%. Ive not installed or downloaded anything recently that could cause this issue. I was wondering if anyone could help or have had such a problem and know what there is to do? Try changing kernel, letting phone sit off for some time, or if all else fails do a clean install. Something i do when any of my phones overheat but wouldnt recommend for everyone, is i zip it up in a zip-lock bag and put it in the frig for about 2-5 minutes. But like i said works just fine for me everytime but dont recommend it

Actually Venom Tweaks includes an option for status bar or notification drawer that displays current CPU usage. Theoretically you could run some apps, pull down status bar and check if both cores are in use. Having one core activated running full throttle would easily turn your phone into a hand warmer

I knew that but when you provide someone with information that you do not recommend a user doing, you should explain why so they understand the risk associated. Especially in a case where their phone could be damaged beyond any chance of repair. Don't you agree?

Correct. But putting the phone under some form of stress such as running games or watching YouTube videos ramps up CPU frequencies as well as initiating the additional core.

cause even i had some issues with heating.. even for a small games my cpu tem is 50-60 and battery around 40!
It isn't unusual for this device to reach those temperatures during battery/CPU intensive apps or games. I've had it happen many times, games like Scramble With Friends (and other With Friends games) do it quite badly, as well as Maps, YouTube, and several others.
