Hello, this time it's [ROM][JB][Sense 5][14.02] Team Venom presents: ViperC2 5.1.0 - Nothing is impossible! but every custom rom I tried installing I have the same issue - WiFi slider stuck on turning on WiFI... I understood it might be because of the kernel, but when flashing it showed succes in flashing the new kernel for this rom. Can anybody guide me in the right direction? I would love to keep this rom but this is a deal breaker... Can a kernel be force-flashed somehow or I don;t know... WHat other options are there?
Thanks in advance, let me know if you need more details,
PS.My phone is a C2 model.
i have the exact same problem ..:crying:
.
i got tha tproblem too.... anyone??

Hello All,
Any help would be much appreciated. I like MIUI ROM 2.10.19 and want to use it with LUPUS Kernel V4. But I'm experiencing problems with WiFi. Everything is working fine but I am unable to start WiFi. I've flashed Kernel and Rom many times and installed the WiFi modules provided by the developer Wedgess with his Kernel but it did not work.
I like LUPUS kernel because it saves lot of battery and really like his work. Please help me resolve this problem.
Phone: Sony Ericson Xperia MK16i
Root: Enabled
Bootloader: Unlocked

same issue different mod

Thank god im not alone with this, i have been running cyanogenmod9 for over 6 months now with a common wifi issue which is pretty easy to fix by deleting some dhcp file...
my issue now is that i fear i have deleted an important file for the wifi to work as it is now greyed out in the settings and although it says "turning wifi on" after 5 mins of waiting the handset reboots and still no wifi, i have re flashed the rom a few times with kernals and even tried a few different roms that did not work on my device i may have flashed them on wrong but i dont understand how.. so i have concluded that it is not rom related for me at least,
any chance anyone can send me the critical wifi files and locations? or possibly suggest another solution? as my device is as good as a paperweight right now:crying:
thanks in advance and keep up the good work you amazing techy people
Fix for wifi problem
I´d also had long time the problem that the wifi button was greyd out and not working. Just now i found a fix for this problem in lupus´s kernel thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1885068
At the bottom of the second post you´ll find a attached wififixfile. These one i´ve installed via recovery an now wifi is working again. :highfive:
Thumbs up for wedgess´s work! His JB-kernel is awesome you should try it. Smoth as butter.

[ROM][4.1][Kernel][Linaro][Aroma][Odexed]Triumph HD V3 EternalPeace out[7.9.13]
all thing seems awesome and smooth except wi-fi
when i turn on it it show Turning Wi-Fi on.. for about minute and then say "searchin for Wi-Fi networks" but nothing done after some minutes and i have to turn off Wi-Fi again.
what can i do?
I test many rom of Pico topic from 4.0.x to 4.3.x but most of cm9 and cm10 based rom have wi-fi problem or BT problem or stuck at htc logo at first,
Please help me because i wasted over a week for choosing a stable Rom :crying:

Try OC kernel provided for v3..
Hey there guys!
I am an inexperienced guy who just seeks some help, so forgive me if I wrote this topic in a wrong place.
Recently i installed Cyanogenmod 11 | Kit Kat | 3.4 kernel ROM for my HTC One S C2. The ROM was fine, but it had some key bugs that I couldn't really stand anymore (camera crash, freezing, random restart and so).
So i decided to try a different rom. My first pick is: [Sense 5][14.02] Team Venom presents: ViperC2 5.1.0
Now my question is, can I flash this room without any consequences? I mean, it won't break my phone or something, right?
Thanks everyone who decides to help.
Regards,
Alex
Hey guys,
since I didn'T find anything on this topic I'm going to ask you.
Currently I'm using the s4 version of the htc one s (ville), running on CM 10.2.
Everytime I try to install a KitKat rom, doesn't matter if it's CM, PA, Carbon-rom... my phone gets stuck on a bootloop.
Any ideas why that is?? HAven't really read that this is a common problem.
Thanks for your help ;D
And yes I did fully wipe the phone before I installed the new rom, since that's a common issue on the nexus 4

Sounds like you're using a outdated custom recovery. Flashing latest TWRP should solve your problem.
TWRP 2.8.0.1
thx for your help i will definitly try it i'll post my result
...
i just tried it with the recources i had but couldn't do a full wipe since i had no backup but as far as I know that doesn't cause the problem of a bootloop? so still have bootloop with updated TWRP
Same goes for the full wipe still set on a bootloop
