[WIP]Arc / Neo Camera App on Play

First things first: Im not a code guru - I just have some expirience on other android devices and can't promise that my attempts will work succesfully.
So I'm trying to port the camera app from the Arc to our Play.
Looks like we will need to modify the libs, as the camera installs flawless but gives errors on start "No camera found".
Only tried the Arc app, as I didnt get my hands on the Neo dump yet.
Here the zip with (i hope) all libs and the apk itself.

Attempt #1
Copy & Paste all camara related libs from the arc to the play
FAILED - if you overwrite the play-own cameralib.so the phone hungs up in a bootloop.

That sounds cool. I'll take that the arc camera interface is custom made and not as ours the native android?

Their custom app for the cam looks more cool and sofar i know has more options (or atleast they are better sorted)

If some of the real devs can make the libarys accept 720p recording, probably yes. as the camera seems to be capable to record in that high res. (eg. the htc desire has also a 5mp cam and record 720p flawlessly)

Can you make R the shutter button and maybe L just focussing?

can you upload anything camera related from the arc, and include directories? thank you!
if anyone used the iFlat series themes, i was behind all the coding for the weather, time etc, im known as xX-SicKsKiLZz-Xx over at iFans

im also working on remapping the buttons, im seeing how the market camera apps remap buttons and working from there.

hold on, did you fix permissions after copying/pasting? thats the only reason i can see why you ended up in a boot loop.

ok, i spent all day on this, i managed to remap the camera button and its fully working in the native camera app, theres still a bug i need to figure out, the bug is that if you keep hold of the R button, it focuses but doesnt take a picture.
also, i managed to get the arc camera app working, you have to remove ALL old camera related stuff and replace it with the arcs stuff, then double check permissions.
theres still bugs, none of the features in the arcs camera app work, it FC's if you even try to take a picture.
im rewriting the all of the libs, ill post with updates & uploads tommorow

I second that ! great idea

I spent a few days on this when the arc and play were rooted.. think we will be able to get this working but need to wait until we can get some custom kernel action as there seems to be a link to the arc in the app... or possibly someone smarter then me can break the .apk apart (easy) and find the expression etc that limits its use to neo/arc (the hard part)

Its the stock android camera app, still they removed the the zooming slider for the sake of the front-face camera changer icon thingy stuff...whatever ^^;

Android 4.2 Camera, Gallery & Swipe Keyboard on Non-Jelly Bean Phones

Thought I would share this, pretty cool. I'm not sure if this will work on Gingerbread yet (let me know if you get it to work!), but I'm sure it works with ICS roms.
The "Swipe Keyboard" is different from the "Swype Keyboard" your'e probably used to. This is the regular loking android keyboard with "Swipe" capabilities (im guessing they spelled it "swipe" for copyright reasons), but it looks pretty damn cool. Check out the video and download link below. This ONLY works for ICS!

Yup. Already been posted. The keybaord works great.
Gallery+Camera have issues, don't install if you like cropping/editing your photos. I think some people have issues with the panorama mode as well. Photosphere doesn't work.

to fix panorama, you first have to unistall using titanium backup the stock camera you have or the one that came with the ROM reboot and then install the camera.

A few .zip with more options and system files, framework and more are available, but it seems because of our blur rom, it doesnt appear to be flashable on our Razr i
install these two as normal apps.

It works well on my Razr i except the equalizer but not very important.
I installed the gallery too, and it seems to be better at any points

this gallery app is amazing! And with it i can manually add geo-tag to my pics that doesn't have. I was searching a simple way to do this and didn't find for Android, just for PC

is there any way to add the online pics as cant see a way add ie like picasa

I use this too. I highly recommend it too. I think it's far more attractive and intuitive than stock anything.

seems like the force close on sharing of this app is a norm as i have tried different sources and the result is the same.

Hello guys, i just got some NXT apps working from a Xperia S deodexed system app. For now, i got working without root only the Alarm and Clock app, the Energy Saver (also has the colorizing working) app and a butter smooth Cosmic Flow with colorizing working. Download links are coming tomorrow, because i have to test other apps that need root to see if they are (or aren't ) working. I know that no one would need these apps now, but i think that is cool modding our devices like Sony should have done (just see the Xperia U's ICS build, it's a lot better)
Some screens of the apps that i got to work are attached.

Would be great to see some system ui port as well.

Works great till I turn on any mode.
I click on a lightning icon and it fcs but when I open the app again,it says that mode is active,but can't really see the icon in statusbar.
Try your luck with z1 apps?

Strange, on my Xperia E doesn't FC And i think it doesn't show the icon in the status bar because it need Xperia S's SystemUI, that i'm porting

I already made a "modpack" with near full Z1 Experience but it's on JB =D
PS: Bro i got the icon on the statusbar, but it isn't an icon , it's a notification, a few minutes and i'll post a screen =D
UPDATE 2 : Timescape Xperia S Working , with App Drawer icon <3
UPDATE 3: Timescape crashing after adding an account -_- I think that it's better to port Xperia S's SystemUI, even if it doesn't have battery percentage o-O

It's quite easy to include this. Google will bring you lots of tutorials
BTW I have an AOSP SystemUI for stock Xperia E on my laptop. Will upload it tomorrow. For the Z2 one I need to edit a few XML's and then I should be done.

After i finish porting the Xperia S SystemUI i will try to port the Honami Phonebook. :victory:

You're getting good at this stuff.
Since z2 system ui is almost there.
Instead of phonebook,you might want to consider serajr style system ui

Which of this apk's you use?

I noticed that this Sony Album app cannot handle burst pictures. It recognises every photo as individual and not part of a burst series. Thus, deleting and sorting the photos is very exhausting.
Is there a way to fix this? Or is there an app that can handle Xperia burst pictures?

On my Xperia 5 , it treats Burst pictures as seperate induvidual pictures...

I got this installed on my new xperia 5 ll but cannot delete photos either. Is there any way to delete photos or those who have it and can delete photos, mind sharing that specific APK?

Google´s Gallery Go is a lot similar to Sony´s Album app

Same thing here, APK installs fine, but delete doesn't work on Xperia 5 II!

The albun version works perfectly, but the video editor does not. He just lets me edit the pictures. Not the videos.
It could be fixed, please.
