Seem to be having problems with the xda app whenever i try to start it up. Just get the spinning circle. End up having to come out if app and restart it before it ever loads. I've been flicking on android central app every now and then and it loads instantly with no issues.
Could this have anything to do with me being on the art runtime? Handset is stock unrooted other than art .
Thanks

I have problems with the XDA Premium app as well. Sometimes it won't load, sometimes certain threads won't load. Not sure what's causing it, I had similar problems on my Nexus 4.
I think the xda has been having intermittent issues with the tapatalk plug-in over the last week or so.
good day.
ART is experimental so that's why it's only a developer option right now. It's only natural for it to have issues so if you want a stable rom don't use it because all app devs just got onto developing for it. Tapatalk has been having a lot of issues for the past about 2 weeks. This is probably what you are referring to so just stand by while tapatalk and xda resolve the issue. It's become even more annoying these past few days.
im lucky to be able to connect to xda with tapatalk anymore. disabling art has improved that, thanks

slow loading for me at times, somethings up
The XDA app is Tapatalk. And it does occasionally have issues. Wiping the data for it seems to help.

I have this problem with the xda app with all my devices. It has nothing to do with ART, as the issues were present on 4.3.
The app just needs to be fixed. Plain and simple.

My issue is that it will jump a couple threads up when it loads more. Really annoying. Randomly crashes as well. I have it on my Nexus 5 and Nexus 7, both using art. The nexus 7 has none of these problems.

I'm on a replacement device (not using art ) and still same problem.
However as said before android central for me seems almost instant in comparison.

This just happened. Not too sure why or how it happened, but I exited the xda app and suddenly what is in the picture below is what is on my screen. Changing the wallpaper does nothing and a reboot doesn't either. I'm completely stock, rooted... Any insight?

Its should come off, happen to me once. Shut down the phone completely

The XDA app has a bad transition that looks just like that, but it goes away quickly. It looks like yours got stuck, which is something I've never seen. That's weird a reboot doesn't fix it. As much as it sucks, you may want to try clearing data in the Google Search app.
Just cleared the cache. Seems to have fixed it

I am using a new nexus 5 which I bought recently and I'm having this problem with YouTube app that voice search is not starting a search on it I to manually type words but on Google now and other apps its fine I'm using non rooted stock rom

Voice search isn't working on my YouTube either so you aren't alone. It acts like its listening then does nothing after I speak to it. Probably just the app though because my nexus 5 is a few months old

Hi, today I've used towelroot to root the nexus 5, everything seems to be fine, but the Play Store has this problem...
I tried to delete cache and app data, but it doesn't work...
What can I do?

are you connected to google servers or not?(white vs colored signal bars)
I have the feature of coloured signal bars of Gravity Box, I have to disable the feature?

no, different bars. when you pull down on your notification bars, the signal there. if white, then connected to googles servers, if colored then not connected. and using xposed could create issues in itself, undocumented issues.
Mmm... It's orange too, so I think it isn't connected..
How it's possible? And what can I do?

if its orange, then its not connected. first off, just try rebooting. if still its not working, uninstall the xposed completely and try again.
I have to uninstall the modules too?

yea. unfortunately, xposed brings so many undocumented issues into the mix that im going to need it completely uninstalled to help with your issue. i mean whats the point of trying to figure the issue out if you keep installed the one thing that can create these issues?

ok, now im trying to figure out why you arent connecting to googles services.. has this been like this for a while, or only started today? if it only started today, it can happen occasionally. id give it a day or less to see if it connects, i guess the issue could be google side as well.
Yes, it's happened today after configured Gravity Box...
However, I've read some topic on the web saying that it could be a root problem, even if I have never heard about this...
Mmm... I'll wait until tomorrow...
Thank you for the help, I'll keep you informed

all "root" does is give you permission to change system files, thats all. only way it can be a "root issue is if you went and changed system files(which i doubt). so if it happened after configuring gravity box, chances are that its related to it. again, xposed comes with many many undocumented issues.
Understood, hope it will work

Usually how much time is needed to reconnect to Google's servers?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
For the past week or so when I open the app I get redirected to the google store. I have to close the store and reopen XDA app. Anyone else experienced this?
Sent from my Nexus 10 using XDA Free mobile app
This has been happening to me as well.. only it will not only open the store but also my browser and then i have to hit the back button like 5 times to get back to where i can open xda again.. then half the time it does it again.
I decided that to get rid of the ads i would just get the premium versio . So what.. it was only a $1.50... come to find out the premium version is nothi g like the free version. I get some extra widgets to put on the home screen but i cant even change the notification sound..
I just wanted the free app without being redirected 5 different places due to ads.. ?
Thanks for your response, not a good thing but at least I'm not the only one. Maybe I'll go back to using the browser instead of the app. It just happened again, first it open my browser then went to play store. Closed play store and opened app, then it worked.

I too have noticed this happening over just the past few days.
It is super annoying but it's nice to know I'm not the only one having the problems.

It's nothing you've done. I'm uninstalling this app and leaving negative feedback. It used to be a good app, and I've used it for a few years now, but I'm done with the redirections.

Uninstalled the app, now using chrome browser I still get redirected, be.
