I have the HTC one M8 with CM11
I was wondering would it save battery life to set the min cpu frequency to 300mHZ or would it be better just to leave it at running the stock 2.26gHZ all the time?

So im using a CM7 nighlies right now and i just got SetCPU and i was wondering what profiles should i set up and how should i set them up cause all i care about right now is making battery life a better.
As for me, I only have two profiles set up. One for screen off set at 245mhz min/max on powersave/conservative @ 90 priority and one for battery temp greater >45 degree C set at 614 mhz max 245mhz min @ 95 priority, on conservative. I've been using this setup on Fresh 3.5 with Netarchy's 4.3.1 stable kernel and my phone has been off the charger for 22 hours with about 20% remaining battery and thats with moderate usage and with WiFi on entire time. You can have unlimited profiles set up based on remaining battery, battery temp, etc and set up the profiles with higher priorities with higher priority number designation. Even though Net's kernel allows me to underclock all the way to 128 mhz, my phone does not like to me underclocked that low.
I'll try that out see how it works

What is the best cpu frequency for stabile working, i use set cpu app for this.
I use 'coservative' scalling Min: 768 Mhz (when some problems i reduce to 748MHZ or 600Mhz when i dont need more performance) Max: 787 MHz or even 808 Mhz but this freq is too high. Is this scalling are good or use different (ondemand, performance)
Also i have question when my phone is blocked (screen is off) cpu freq back to normal low freq or still have the same freq like in set cpu app ?
No one can give specifics as even with one model of phone the quality of CPU changes so set frequencies differ.
EG: i'm using DHD with 1.6GHz OC "smartass" but some users top out on 1.3GHz, could OC more stable but don't need, regards underclock i've screen off "Powersave" lowest frequency 245MHz don't forget to set priority high.
There is more you can do with set CPU such as underclock on less battery so know get more for criticle phone usage, also temp based so again saving power.
Anyway best bet is to look for other users of x10 and see what they top etc.
Hi all, I want to undervolt my Nexus 5 CPU and I want to know if this way is good. I have a PVS 1 CPU, franco Kernel and FKUpdater.
I want to test different mA for every MHz value;
so I set 750mA to 300MHz (800 stock) and set Minimum CPU frequency and Maximum both to 300MHz to be sure the CPU works at this frequency, and run Classic Test on StabilityTest app for about 10 minutes https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.into.stability
but here my doubt. I'm not sure that when I set a different mA to the frequency, the change is applied, because (for test) I set 300MHz to 600mA (the minimum of FKUpdater), I run the test and NO reboot.
Isn't this absurd?
Hi guys, I would like to know something. My phone has a bug and because of it, it's min. CPU frequency is locked at 998mhz (never less), however it's cpu usage is stable (low). So here is my question. What's difference between CPU usage and CPU mhz usage? What's difference (for battery life) between 300 mhz and 5% usage and 998 mhz and 5% usage? How much it affects battery life and general?
Hey guys I am using kernel auditor
Want to know
1)the profile to get the max performance regardless of battery
2)profile for normal multitasking but with higher battery saving capacity than stock arrangement
3)which is better 4 Cores and then restricting to 1.5ghz (or any other frequency which u would seem for the power saving) or switching off permanently and then setting the frequencies at about 2 GHz
