Carrier unlock Boost Moto G (XT1031)

Hello,
Is there a way to carrier unlock the Moto G XT1031 on 4.4.4 from BoostMobile? I bought it certified pre-owned and I want to use it on TracFone. I read a few posts on the Internet that say that say unlocking the phone won't work past 1/15/2015... is this still the case on pre-owned devices? Or just for new devices bought after that date?
I'm a huge noob at this. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
You can unlock the bootloader here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2537119

Well you don't carrier unlock cdma phones you flash them to another carrier. As for moto g on any thing else but boost sorry it is a no go. Unless like the lg g2 it is possible to say take a rom from vzw and put it on the boost variant and make it a verizon. The lg g2 sprint can be carrier unlocked by flashing a tmobile rom that has been modded. Found that out here on xda and did it.

[Q] How do yo ufind out what version moto g do you have? X????

Just bought a new 4G moto G and want to plash anew rom, but it has a bunch of versions. It's unlocked on Straight Talk, which means it's either an X1032 or X1034 AWS. How can I check so I flash the correct ROM?

Anybody attempt to flash Cricket XT1045 with ATT XT1045 firmware?

Looks like Motorola & AT&T decided to release 5.1 around mid January. Anybody try flashing the ATT firmware on a Cricket-branded XT1045 (Moto G LTE)?
Thanks
Interesting. Has anyone been able to do this?

Unlock bootloader on AT&T MVNO Moto G 4/MOTO G LTE

I found out the hard way that the bootloader on Moto G 1st Gen originally sold by AT&T CANNOT be factory unlocked. When you submit the character string to the Motorola Bootloader Unlock web site, it tells you that the device does not qualify. When you search forums for answers you find out that bootloaders in Moto G and Moto G LTE sold by AT&T do not qualify for boot loader unlocking.
What I am trying to find out is whether this is also true of Moto G 1st Gen devices sold by AT&T MVNO's such as Cricket.
Has anyone reading this ever unlocked the bootloader on a Moto G 1stGen originally sold by Cricket?
I really do not want to find and buy one and find out that the bootloader cannot be unlocked. I have one of those from AT&T already.
Thanks
