Call volume is too low - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

The call volume is set all the way up but the sound is still low. Does anyone know how to increase the volume?

Are you rooted and have recovery.

I used the moderate and so far I can hear it better. I guess I have to make more phone calls to find out.

How to convert to S5 UI

I take no credit for this mod at all. I'm just passing on the information I stumbled upon. In this article, it shows you how to modify two lines in the build prop and it converts the UI to the Galaxy S5. I did it and it works fine. I couldn't believe how easy it was. Just change the model number to SM-900S and that's it. The link is provided and that's where I got the info from. One downside I detected is the Google Now shortcut when long pressing the Home Button isn't there. Just a FYI.

Not. But you won't loose the original settings. You still have visibility of the original settings icon. If you need to do something with your pen settings, just open up that icon.

What exactly changes to the S5's UI? This works with the stock rom when rooted (UrDroid)?
Does this change the look of the "Messaging (SMS /MMS) App"?

I assume yes it does. As long as you have root access to modify the build.prop.

No it doesn't change any core apps such as messaging. You'd have to push the S5 apk to replace it.

I'm using KnoxRaid right now and it works fine. I think the only prerequisite is having a 4.4.2 ROM. If you don't, just do a backup before you try it.

So let me get this straight, I have a note 3 and running a KK ROM and when I change the name of those two things, it magically becomes an S5 UI?LOL
Also, if so, it only works with KK ROMs?

---------- Post added at 05:00 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:54 PM ----------
Nope. It doesn't work on 4.3 JB unfortunately.
Thanks for checking. Makes sense though since the S5 and Note 3 are on 4.4.2
