[App][2.1+] BeerTimer, On a boring party?

On a boring party?
Follow these steps:
1. Grab your android device
2. Open android market
3. Search for BeerTimer
4. Download BeerTimer
5. Make boring party a success!
No seriously, I have developed an nice little app that lets your android phone time how fast one can drink fluids! It uses your phones acceleration to sense when the table it lays on is being hit.
Usage: Lay phone on a table, hit the table once to start the stopwatch, then again to stop the time. One use is to time how fast one can drink fluids (beer chug game).
Or if you don't drink bear, then it's just a great stopwatch with a beer in the background!

Haha you're right, we do a little chugging here in Missouri.
I'd like to suggest some type of leader-board or someway to save high scores, for review the next day.

That is on the way! Not sure when im done with it. Thinking about give people able to register for referee rights so that they can verify times and upload them to a global scoreboard!

I got a tip about using facebook for scores. And a way to create local tournaments (aka at house party) with dedicated referees. Any thoughts?

If this is a serious question, there is a brief explanation in the app as well in the description.
You have a bottle/can of beer. You hit the table which the phone is running this app on and start to chug the beer. When you are done, you smack the can/bottle in the table and the timer stops.

I'm planning on developing a classic games pack for Android which will include games like Asteroids, Space Invaders, Pacman, Tetris, Snake, Lunar lander,etc, all in one.

your idea is great..
i tried ur game today...
i noticed few things... "A" button is used for moving fast
The spaceship only moves round though in all directions using Gamepad, it would be better if we can move ship to all corners of the screen through it only and button "A" could be used for missiles
if u can change the spaceship look it would be better it just looks like a plane cursor... more of a logo language look

Controls are pretty direct. Very good so far

Thanks! I think that your ideas are pretty cool but what I had in mind was to recreate the original game and there the controls and the spaceship are similiar to what I did.

I tried it on my rooted phone but I don't seem to be able to record the game. The video comes out with 1 frame per second or less.

That's it. It runs at 25-28 frames a second for me. What phone are you running it on?

Normal mode is waves of birds ,they start of easy then it gets progressively difficult. For all players.
Endless mode is random waves of birds, the birds are much faster. For advanced players.
Leaderboard will only be available for Normal mode for now.
Description: Are you tired of all these birds infesting your mobile devices by flapping around and flying into pipes or other objects that they can easily avoid ? Don't you just wish, you can just punch them? Well, here is a chance to get close and personal with those clumsy flappy birds by introducing them to your FIST. There are 14 birds that have unique patterns that you must master in order to be the top puncher on the leaderboards. It's a very hard challenging game that will keep you playing non stop!
How To Play :The fist only appears on the left side of the screen, you may tap anywhere on the screen to make it come out. You can't let the birds reach the left side of the screen, or you'll lose.
Have fun punching those flapper birds out of the screen!

Any tips on how to get more scores? Just have to recognize the bird patterns, once you do, you'll get a lot points.

Thanks. The game is not meant to be taken seriously ,just to kill time pretty much. Was going for a duck hunt type of game. Looks like someone has ported duck hunt to android.

Pretty addictive. First time I passed the first stage, the little gap in time broke my concentration and instantly died. I would suggest you give the player a little bit more notification when the stage changes, like a longer gap and/or some text to show the change. Other than that, pretty fun.
