[Feature request] speed control - MX Player

This is very far the best player.
It only lacks the speed control ...

Oh yes!
I sometimes try to use "Play using" as "Open with" to open with another player..

Ok I found this amazing app (in my opinion lol) and I thought I might as well share it out if anyone's missed it. It's wp7 music player in beta stage but the fluidity and the looks is really good already. Not a single lag. Try it
Another music player made by the same dev has better SQ than powerAMP btw.

does this app have auto resume playback after a call? the music player in cm7 is missing this feature (or i haven't figured out where to enable it) but its driving me crazy that its missing that feature.
Cannot find the app, please provide apk

Its from the Guy who's doing the WP7 port that got closed down on here. Shiny player, nice

What..? This is a paid app even though it's in beta stage? That's weird. Well, I'm curious to know more about this app. Too bad I don't have an online paying method.

I am curious, sounds like a good player, could you explain how the sound quality is better than power amp

He's talking about Better Music Player. There's a trial version you can try out in market.

Yh it's Better Music EQ and it's only better in terms of SQ. What I find better with this music player's tweaks i.e. EQ, bass boost, virtualizer etc is that it doesn't distort the music sound as much as powerAMP. So it's much easier to get clearer sounds with natural deep bass with crisp treble. The virtualizer, if used properly, can widen the soundstage without affecting other sounds
I believe he's talking about zplayer which is a zune player port from the zune or Windows phone 7, I dnt believe its the one u r talking about

trying it right now, had few force closes when going back from homescreen to the player. sound quality is on par with my current mixzing player IMO.
lack settings menu. some cover art cannot be read.
overall still quite a nice option player

The BEST Media Player for Android - Bsplayer

I searched the forums for this and did not find it.
bsplayer is the best video player for Android ever! It will play any media file that I throw at it. It will also stream VOB files from a share drive!
I am not the dev for this but I wanted to give him exposure so that more and more people use it. For those who have used it what are your thoughts?

in my opinion , RockPlayer2 is the best media player on android, with really great UI and performance, and It has some unique feature, like 'Rockshare" , users can share their videos with friends just use their phone, but not exchange SD-card.
yes, after installing dozens, this is the only one that plays my 4 gig 720p DTS audio mkv file. But the video color quality can be better.
I always go back to vplayer

HTC One Music Player port to Galaxy S4 please.

I like the HTC One music player but when it comes to mobile phone, I prefer Galaxy S4. Anyone interested in porting the Music Player with visualizer into our device? We would be very grateful. Thank you XDA developers.

never gonna happen with the same reason as why its imposble to port samsungs apps to cm, the apps need the specific framework.
The only thing I miss about the HTC one is the lyrics . I can't find an app to replace this on my s4 any ideas ?

Nothing is impossible. However no developer wants to lay time on these ports, also they can integrate framework so it will be installable for most devices, don't know how easy that is though

The music player can be Ported however it will take time. S4 music player can also be ported but no one takes the time as its "waste of time" as there's better music players out there. I'm not saying it is but many people that think so I would like to have one X music player on my phone for fun I got Sony Walkman just for fun

The S4 player displays lyrics if they're included in the mp3 file. There's a check box in settings to turn it on. Or do you mean something else?

Hands down to PowerAMP, the best music player for our devices. It can also display lyrics using the musiXmatch plugin. It enhances audio output making our devices sound much much better...

Never heard any audio player that can handle that good as poweramp it's limit setting makes the audio being always good even if you max eQ bass or anything else. However many audio player doesn't have that as "default" so you need to experiment to make it sound good due to no audio limitation/reduce of bad sound

The default Eq of default player is no way near the one in poweramp. But the best thing off default Samsung player is good sub bass ( I think below 60 Hz is better than power amp). But the equalizer is way worse than poweramp.

Choppy video performance

Did anyone notice a choppy video playback using YouTube app on the N5?. I tried my Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 playing HD videos on youtube , it is choppy on my N5 where it is smooth on my N4.I did not try other video players.

Yeah, that's what I notice too. I mean, the video looks stunning, but it doesn't seem to be running smoothly at all.
I ran it side by side with my iPhone 4S, and my iPhone played the video much smoother overall. I thought I was just seeing thing until it reached one part in the video where the same kid in the video raising his hand to point at the sky. The arm movement right there was noticeably unnatural in the Nexus 5, compare to my iPhone 4S's playback.
Does anyone know an app that can show you what the currently playing video's fps is?
I have not experienced this... well I haven't notice it if it is choppy

Do you have any other smartphones that is capable of playing youtube videos? Pull the same video up across both both phones and start the playback at the same time.
Better yet, compare it against your PC browser.

I hope it's just some optimization problem that can be fixed with software update(s). I'd really hate to return this phone back, but it's quite a deal-breaker for someone like me who uses the phone as an on-the-go multimedia player.
Are there any alternative apps that can play HD youtube videos smoothly?

Sometimes these issues are also caused by user settings like what and how many apps or widgets running in the background, Google syncronisation interval and what apps connect to the internet etc etc.

Well, there are people like me and you who notice the "stuttering" (I wouldn't call it choppy, because still frames are just as clear as my 4S). Then, there are others that say it does not stutter even in the slightest.
I don't know what to believe in anymore.
Maybe the YouTube app isn`t fully optimsed for KitKat yet.
hmm I can only just notice it - though if I wasn't looking for it I doubt I'd notice it

Probably a good test would be download the video using for example tubemate, then play the local copy this would help determine whether network latencies are contributing to any lags or if caused by decoding the video if it occurs when local copy.
Then try hw vs Sw decoding.
Will test when I ve got time.

yeah its very stuttery. Whats worse the youtube app doesn't seem to be able to get 1080p and 720 upscaled looks atrocious. Playing the same video on my 2 year old One XL and this phone, the Nexus is so much worse in terms of stutter, upscaling and color that I'm very disappointed at the moment.

Mx player's sound quality

This player plays anything i threw at it, its the best. But the sound is just plain and simple. This app should be able to use the phone/tablet's inbuilt sound setting/equalizer for a better sound, then it will become the best of the best video player. Can't the developer add this new feature?
