I have Liquidsmooth build "Web Feb 5" on Verizon S3 phone. Kernel version 3.4.77-cyanogenmd-gbc5081a. Some reason I did not like the Liquidsmooth and now I want change to regular version of KitKat. How can I do that? Please provide me steps too.
thanks

What is the "regular" version of KitKat?
There is no regular version of kit kat as all versions of kit kat are custom ROMs. This phone is still on 4.3 officially.

OK where did you get liquidsmooth? If you got it from this website then its the same place to get other custom ROMs. There are at least 12+ custom ROMs for this phone.

I have a Galaxy S4 Verizon SCH-i545. I am looking for a stock (or as close to stock as I can get) version of Kitkat that's either rooted I can install or one I can root. I am running 4.2.2 rooted. There large quantity of roms floating around I am new to all the android acronyms.
I found this one, but I cant figure out if its modded, or Verizon compatible or so on.

most roms will already have root and these are all stock kit kat they only have little things pre installed onto them you can uninstall most of them
After reading some posts in development forum, we need latest KitKat bootloader before installing the 4.4 ROM. Where could we find the KitKat bootloader ? I am using stock xt925 bootloader and running CM rom (4.3).
Thanks,
Ching-Ho Cheng
Just flash epinter builds, you don't need KK bootloader for that builds.
This is the last one: https://goo.im/devs/epinter/cm-11-20140721-NIGHTLY-moto_msm8960-epinter.zip

Did you update your phone to the official Kit Kat via the Motorola/Verizon KK OTA? Then you have it already. You just have to get the correct recovery (TWRP 2.7.1.0 or CWM 6.0.4.9)
He/She have the xt925 not xt926 so no official KK update yet, we have an KK leaked soak test but isn't recommended to install so stay with epinter's builds is the better choice for us.

I did not update my phone to official Kit Kat because my phone is GSM XT925 not CDMA XT926. So I am still at JB 4.3.
How do I update to the KitKat bootloader? I have been running Slimkat but I want to try ParanoidAndroid.
If I update to the KitKat bootloader will I be able to go back to the previous bootloader and restore my Slimkat backup if need be?
Are there any developers that will do a port of lollipop? If you are one of them, when do you believe it will be (almost) finished?
Hahaha Just We Didn't Get KitKat Does We Get Lollipop ???
I Don't Think So (It's My Opinion)

He means in a way of CyanogenMod not stock sammy firmware we are stuck on 4.2.2
Yeaaaaaaaah When CyanogenMod Will Finish It For Us I'm Waiting... We Believe You CyanogenMod
How does it work?
I mean.. I currently own an LG G2.
Everybody is waiting for the android 5 CloudyG3 port but it's not comming because there is no matching Kernel. So from what I understood, only when LG releases the Android 5 version to the G2, there will be a CloudyG3 ROM based on Lillipop.
But then I see my old Samsung Galaxy S running 4.4.2 on a custom rom, when the last official version was like 2.3.6.
So.. How come the G2 can't get the 5.0, but the SGS can run 4.4.2?
??

But the developers still can develop a 4.4.2 rom for galaxy S...

I know. What I ask is, why do we have to wait for LG's official Lollipop kernel so that LG G2 will get a lollipop rom?
Why doesn't it work the same with SGS?

Of course we can port android lollipop on LG G2. We can port for example CyanogenMod, or other roms.
I think there is an unofficial CyanogenMod rom for LG G2.

You should probably be able to if you can find a ROM for it such as cyanogenmod official or unofficial. If you do a google search you might come across one.

After searching for ~1 hour, I still have found no 4.4 ROM for your device. CyanogenMod hasn't been ported yet, and there seem to be no other ROMs available in that Android version.
Sorry.
