Currently Running - CM10
I don't think that's even possible...
Why do you want Gingerbread at all? Ice Cream Sandwich is available, which makes the E pretty fast while still having Android 4.x.

I know Its fast But. in ICS rom my phone is acting like it has dual sim.. and appears yellow tower single everywhere , is there some trick to hide the se thing . then plz do tell

A SystemUI mod could possibly remove it... but I don't know how, don't ask me.

I have just bought a CSL switch mi280 QT..i rooted it but cant do anything with it because i cant find any custom roms available and its running on android 2.2.2 which is kinda outdated.. any1 here got any custome rom available for the phone?

i've got thee same phone too. Runs well because it's on stock rom and I also use Zeam launcher which is blazing fast, but yeah there's no custom rom for the phone, and do you mind telling me what do you use to root it? Thank you
Hi wat launcher is that? mine came with go launcher ex when i bought it.
i used gingerbreak to root it...very easy~
search for Zeam Launcher in Play store. Go launcher very meh maaa and resource heavy also. So how is your phone doing? any probs so far?
and also, do you know if there are any cases sold for this phone? rubber casing or hard plastic. If they are sold, tell me where okay? Thank you in advance
i kinda messed up my recovery, now i cant do factory reset or go into recovery.
is it possible for you to copy your recovery.img and send it to me?

Well, I guess nobody wanna "play" with this phone, it was designed mainly for business, not for entertainment. We just have to wait until CSL release the official Gingerbread ROM for this phone .

Already emailed CSL & ask them when the update will be available but they replied ( kinda rude ) ... with "no" only,nothing else...

You need to make a better Title for your post, something related to your problem,
this way people that know something about that don't ignore this.
Since you don't give us more datails on how that happend,
try first with a third app for SMS from PlayStore.

I got a Xperia J for my son.
In first the phone was easy to use.
Now it is as slow as a phone of 4 years old.
I am looking for a rom that makes the phone faster and maby pretyer to look at.
If i am looking in the sections of the roms i don't know with one i must pick.This because i never flashed a phone before.
That means i don't know if i can go into recovery right away. Maby i must do something before i can do that??
Can someone help me by telling me how to flash my phone with a new rom and off course with rom to choose.
This because i don't know with one.Not every rom is compatible with the J.

1. Factory reset + clear all
2. Just do root
3. Boost my xperia + pimp my rom
Do this 3 first. If still slow, then unlock bootloader and find rom.

You can use unlockroot, or ishuaji_root, or 360
shouji root. Only unlockroot is in english, the others are in chinese. You can also just search inside xda for the other method.

Before you flash a custom Rom I would like to recommend that you try this and see how it works : https://www.box.com/s/6oe7hg5yfweb642ovk86 . Just install it, place the phone on a flat and stable surface( like a table) and calibrate.
It worked like magic for me. I had serious problems with the lag and after I tried this little apk everything works flawless. I don't even recognize my J.

It's a simple touch screen calibration app.
Try it and see if it's what you are looking for.
It doesnt work a lot on my J.
So i think i must install a custom rom.
But with one is simpel to install?
I have NEVER done a root of flash a rom.
If someone can tell me or hase a howto please let me know.
Also if you know what a good working rom (without bugs) is , also let me know!
I'm also a newbie,but in Sony phones recovery does not come pre installed.you will have to install CWM for that..since xperia j is an old model,there would be many options for you...think of rooting and installing clock workmod(CWM).and from there u can do something...

I own two mobiles one is galaxy fit ( may be 2 year old runs on foryo 2.2.1 version ) and other new sony experia Z but i stil love my fit so much and its work like a charm so dint get my mind of leaving it, Now i thought of upgrading its android to jellybean!! can somebody help me in updraging by providing necessary links coz i really dont know about moding and all.. First of all is it posible to upgrade to higher version. If so please help me guys. Hope to read from you guys soon.

No,we dont have any recovery for froyo.
You need to upgrade to 2.3.x officially and then install cwm5/cwm6/amon-ra/twrp 2.5 recovery.
Latest Gingerbread is Galaxy Fit 2.3.6 DDKT3(India)
