Zerolemon 7500mah battery (review somewhat) - Galaxy S 5 Accessories

Ok today i got my zerolemon samsung galaxy s5 7500mah battery, all i got to say is that thing is big and bad, the one thing i really don't like is the way the tpu case fits a bit loose around my phone, for those wondering about the heart rate monitor it is easy to use since your finger lands on the sensor, the phone don't weigh too much as i thought it will, but i will post more after the first charge cycle

My brother had one of these on his s4, and it reminded me of this image. I just don't get it. If you manage your device and ensure that you disable unused applications and services then you can easily get a day of use. Tripling the size of the phone vs. tweaking what it actually does. To each their own, either way thank you for the review, I'm sure that the case fit issue is valuable information for those who are looking at these as a purchase option.

Depends on usage. I use mine all the time for work and I can barely get through a day without needing some extra juice. So if you are one that NEEDS an extra battery like this its perfect.

I loved mine for the s3. The case felt a little loose on it but i still got used to it. I am concerned by the last of waterproofing but if the battery performs will probably get one. Please let us know asap how it performs.

I love the 10000mah version for my note3, Does well when I go on my 3-4 day camping hikes, I like the way it feels in my hand, Still waiting to receive my battery for the S5, You got yours early! I preordered mine 2 weeks ago.

Just ordered mine today (Going to have to wait to it ships to the UK though) loved the S3 version. Never went wrong with anything zerolemon

Already sold out on amazon.com I think

That's a little overkill, don't you think? Even heavy smartphone users get a day's (10-12 hours) of use out of their phone. I mean that big of a battery would seriously get annoying to me. Turn your brightness down man.

I get about 8hrs regular battery, even with 25% brightness. Power users we are and that juice is what it keep us away from being attached to a charger... Attached to a wire.

I got my pre-order on the 16th, And I'm returning it, I'm hoping I got a defective case & battery.
Case doesn't seem to hold battery in that well, I can knock the back of the case and the phone will reboot or shut off completely.
The case seems very loose along the sides as well, I think due to them packing the box and & battery inside of the case while shipping which seemed to stretch the case out a bit making it loose on the sides.
I'm going to ask for a replacement, if it's the same issues on the next one I'm asking for a refund.

any update robert ?

I had this battery for the S3, I loved it. However I don't want to lose the waterproofing on the S5, and I think the case is ugly this time around..
Anyway after rooting and installing the Infinity ROM, I get 2 days of moderate use out of the stock battery..
So for the $50 price of that battery, I instead bought the 18600mah Zerolemon Juicebox.. Same price, 2 1/2 times more power..
I can charge my phone 7 times without having to recharge the Juicebox.. It also charges 2 phones while charging the Juicebox at the same time, most battery packs can't do that.. Plus with the USB 3.0 cable, it charges my phone from dead in 90 minutes..
I have a bag on me at all times, so carrying it around is no biggie.. It's the size of my phone..
http://goo.gl/XVObHn
p.s. - They should pay me for this lol.. but yea, I'm happy

Got mine of Friday last week.
Followed the instructions to charge if without disturbance for twelve hours before using. I am at sixty percent now and am beginning to think it will last me one week per charge. I stream pandora when in car with bluetooth, play games, surf internet, check all emails once an hour, update facebook three times a day, send texts and receive calls about three or four an hour, cast netflix and youtube, update weather once every hour, keep screen on auto brightness, never turn off wifi, etc. Unreal performance from this battery. I'm actually looking forward to using a charger! But they say do not do it until the phone reaches 2 percent. So I wait.... The case does seem a little loose to me and I don't really care for the style, but aesthetics aside, a real good bang for the buck!!!! I would highly recommend for anyone who would actually like a real uncorded phone that can be used for a good week at a time without worrying about a charger cable and what not. :good:
So on my first use I was able to use the phone with heavy use, WiFi always on, Bluetooth on in car, Pandora streaming with screen on, emails checked every 2 hours, Weather updated every two hours, Games like spades, hearts, some other graphically intense ones, Calls and SMS, some pictures and web surfing total time to 2%: 5 days, 22 hours, 56 minutes, 59 seconds. The owner of ZeroLemon said that they will be sending me a better case as soon as they get them and hope that it will fit the phone a little better, however even though the case I have is a little mushy, it does stay on. Very easy to remove which could be a good or bad thing depending how you look at it. So far I would rate the battery with a five star and the case with a two. Definitely like not having to plug the phone in every night and everytime I'm in the car.

I'll receive mine soon. I can't wait to see how it will goes. On previous phone I bought mugen one which are X2 more expensive than this one.
It's good to know they'll replace the case.

So far it look great. 10% for 2 hours on screen time and it's only the first cycle too.
Yea the case suck, I contacted the Amazon.com reseller for the replacement, I'm still waiting for his answer.

Wonder if the "looseness" is a problem with the first batch of cases? I had a ZL on a Note 2 and the tpu was perfect, never gave any signs it would easily come off. I'm getting a S5 just to have a ZL, hope they fix this issue.

HTC Extended Battery 1340 mAh BP E270: Nice or Ugly?

I'm interested to buy this, what do you guys think? For those who have this, any feedback, including its performance, would be appreciated. For the price, I can actually get two HTC or four Momax 900 mAh batteries, so I'm not sure if it's worth it. By the way, the cover is mat instead of glossy.
I found the pictures on Google.
Well, I really love the matt finishing and overall high quality. Thats the finishing that HTC should have given in the original batt.
With the old glossy surface, the pyramid peaks are very vulnerable to scratches, and you can see whitish tiny scratches on the peaks. With the ext-batt's rubbery surface, it's almost scratch proof. I've been using the batt for 4-5months and it's still perfect.
As for the thickness.. frankly, 14mm is still thinner than most PPCs out there.
Enough of aesthetics.. My phone now lasts >50% longer.. which is good for me. Thats abt 2 days with some MP3s. Used to be low end of every day, which makes no sense coz you know 15-20% batt won't get you through the whole of next day.
My advice is.. get the batt as a long term investment. If you're gonna sell the phone after 6mths, bear with the lousy original batt.
Hi MasK, thanks for the input, it's very helpful.
I think I will probably keep this phone till November or December, because by that time I can get a free phone from my provider, I will just sell that right away and the Diamond to get something new. Yeah the glossy finish is really easy to scratch, right now I've to use a case to protect it.
There is another option that I'm considering, it's the HTC battery bank BB G300. It's sightly more expensive, but I can keep it for future HTC phones or any phones that use the same connector. The only thing is I'm not a huge fan of carrying extra devices on me.
Extended battery
I decided to buy this battery when I one day ran out of battery at 7pm and desperately needed to send an email.
It certainly improved battery life by up to 50% and i don't think it makes the phone uglier. It's only a few mm thicker (i think 3mm) but only the fact that I get two days out of it with hotmail pushed and OWA pushed through emoze and average calling, texting emailing and surfing, should convince you to buy the battery.
The only problem I had was the HTC pouch that came with the phone. When you have the extended battery on, it won't fit your diamond any more, so I had to buy another one (a generic HTC leather pouch).
Hope it helps...
What I don't understand is, why do they only thicken the battery? They could also use the new space above and below the battery (looking straight onto the backside of the Diamond).

I think it's not as simple to produce a battery in some odd shape, they also have to consider about the compatibility with other models.
I got mine last week and it's great.
Mat finis is actually better than glossy - no fingerprints and I think it's going to be more durable in the long run.
As for battery life - now I can use my Diamond normally for two days, I had to charge the normal battery every day.

I just received mine today, I'm glad I went for it.
looks like im gonna have to invest in this battery...
I've decided to go for it, and have orderes the BP E270.
Can anyone recommend some cases that would fit the 3mm fattened diamond?
Thanks,
Dave
Having owned the extended battery (and getting rid of it). I have to say I didn't like at all, the phone just felt wrong. I appreciate it only make the phone a couple of mil thicker but trust me, it wrecks the feel of the phone. If the phone came with the exteneded battery to start of with, I may have been happy with it.
Another problem I had with it, was that the back was always coming loose and sliding forward when I tried to take the phone out of my pocket.
If you are having problems with the power of your phone, then by all means get the extended battery but I'm telling you the extended makes your phone feel like a brick and even worse, makes it feel cheap.
I tend to disagree, the phone feels much better in my hand (my opinion), I liked the thin looks of the phone with the original battery, but I could never hold it properly, it slipped from my hand a couple of times, lucky it fell on the carpet. Now I like it much better, plus having the added benefit of the extra power. At the end of the day, it's a question of choice, some of you might like it, some of you might not, I don't think there is a right or wrong answer here.
Mine has arrived, and I really like it. As said earlier, the matte finish is much better, and the small increase in size actually makes it easier/nicer to hold.
Any suggestions on a pouch or case that fits it?
The extended battery is actually the same thickness as the 900mAh battery with a silicon case ;-) Actually I normally use a Tek Sock pouch with my extended battery.. but for now, i just have a screen protector and will try for a few days without a pouch/case.
hi i got mine today its beetter than the old one htc must have done this before n replaced all batterys like nokia did for mathatushita battery which recently got blasted
i got it for RS-3,000 inr< indian national rupee> wat abt others cost
just got mine yesterday.. however mine is the white colour version.. so still have the glossy back cover..
i check the battery status using powerguard and the battery voltage is always around 3.9V to 4V.. and the phone gets heat up v fast.. to more than 39 degree.. is my battery faulty or it is normal for the extended battery to behave like this??

im playing games.. but when using the original 900mAh battery, it wont get so warm.. with the extended battery, when it have around 80% battery left, the voltage is like 4.1V to 4.2V.. which i think is very high.. thats why causing the phone to heat up so much..
can anyone confirm with me that it is normal to get 4.1V to 4.2V when the battery life is more than 70%?? or is my battery faulty?? it will drop to 3.6V to 3.7V when battery life is less than 50%..
I've got mine today... I thinks it looks better than the glossy one and with the extra mAh...
Does anyone found a good case for the new package?
Anyone can help me find an another one battery, seems that it's ran out of stock now !

Mugen Power 3600mAh Extended Battery

Does someone has this one?
3600mAh Mugen power
At "Special Price" of $104.95 I don't think I would want it. Back cover looks horrible, instead of making a hump they kept the width consistent with a slight curve.
My phone looks smaller with BALLISTIC case on. Battery life is no longer an issue if you have a small charger like below, just keep it in your pocket and charge your phone while it is not in use.
the reason there is no hump like on the HD2, is because the back cover is required to get a signal, due to the contact pins being right there. The back cover isn't a 3 piece back cover, so they can't make a part have a hump, and the rest not.
I have not used this one but I'm currently using their 3300mah for Nexus S...I payed their price and I must tell, they do a good customer support job for the price they ask for it.
Speedtest?
Can anyone shed light on why speedtest had a faster download with the extended battery installed?, is it simply more powerful because I would have thought the power was regulated by the phone itself?
Is it likely to be a better aerial in the back of the Mugen case?
Thanks.
Terry
That thing is ugly
If you have to replace the battery door, how do you expect the antennas to work?
That's... HUGE!
The size is too big, and out of my price range
I have one, it gives me enough power to last until the next morning without a charge. The wifi sucks now since the back doesn't have the metal antenna connectors, but everything else works fine. The back is ugly as hell, but its worth it to be able to last at least a day.

The aerial is probably better than the original HTC one, so faster results, they could afford to make it a lot bigger as the back of the phone is a lot bigger

Yes, they sent me a new back to the phone, but it didn't fix it. If I switch to the old battery/back then its fine and works great, but with the back they sent me, my range is now severely limited and certain ways of holding the phone drops my signal altogether.
Well a friend of mine is offering a mugen 3600mah(!) battery unopened for 50 euros... that's about half the price I can find it in retail.
I'm still waiting for my Anker batteries, but I'm -seriously- thinking of getting that as well... do you think it's worth the price, will it really get me ~2.5x the battery time I have now (including drain) or I'll end up with roughly 3-4 hours extra?
Just waned to add that Mugen Power has a slim solution that is OEM sized but still gives about 15% juice.
1950mAh

Worst luck ever...

I have the worst luck ever! Just got my S4 and after opening i noticed some dirt on the home key. After i tried to get it off i found out its actually scratches and small holes like if has got stuck under a machine or something. To make it worse there is also a small dent on the lower right side.

Dent is the bright point on lower right side

Luckily i order this one from the web so we can return it without fuss (i would hate to have a phone with scratches on day 1, usually i never drop my phones and keep them top shape, i'm a perfectionist hehe) but i been waiting for ages for this phone so i couldnt take it any more and went out and bought one from the store and gambled this one is without scratches as far as i can see. Hopefully no hardware error but lets see by tomorrow hehe
I have had really bad luck with phone as of late, my last S3 had hardware problem and kept rebooting right out of box so i had to exchange it. Hope the circle is broken now. Any way just wanted to let of some steam here
yea but sending most devices back they require it to be in mint condition and if its not you get charged full retail for it so i wouldnt send it back
Unlucky. I'm very happy I have no issues at all with screen parts or physical build, except for a battery that seems to drain too quickly (yes most everything is off, and no, it's not the media server bug).
I would take it back. New products are supposed to look new, not used or abused.
I feel ya, my S4 came with yellow tint. Had to exchange it and still received a yellow-tinted screen. Refunded.
Totally, considering the cost (i pay cash) its not acceptable to have such obvious problems. The more people send back these phones the better they try to raise the quality bar i think. Its aweful to get a bad screen to, good that you refunded it.
For me the battery is pretty amazing so far, i charged it full and played with it like 40 minue using map, web, 4G, wlan etc and its at 96% so its far better than what my S3.
Will keep playing with all the new features feel like Christmas
One thing i dont like is Google Play downloads like 40 apps and put them under the apps. I use to have them well organized in maps. Wish they could fix it so that it restores it as it use to be on older phone.
Return it back .......im sure u will get new one ...

First impressions on Galaxy S6 Edge - Sound Off

I got mine yesterday 4/8/15 - Im on Sprint and when I turned it on and did self activation I got a black screen... Eventually had to factory reset and go to sprint and get them to re activate it. Also Ive noticed it has been prettty laggy stuttering here and there. Google Keyboard doesn't fix it. Its not thaaat laggy but its enough to notice. My Sprint GS6 edge Black 64gb DID INFACT come with the hair line scratches people are reporting. battery life has been decently good.
Battery:
Full Day 1 GS6 Edge: April 9th 2015
Screen On time: 3hrs 50 min
7AM-1:04PM
Usage - Everything, auto brightness... All edge features on. half mobile data half wifi, NO BATTERY SAVER
Ive been getting about 8 or 9 hours on heavy usage mostly wifi though. black 32gb no scratches or other issues. No lag. Feels and looks great. Sound isnt as bad as people say. But i came from an s4. I do notice it seems warm when charging with the screen off lol. But maybe thats just the fast charger at work. The usb is snug though going in and kind of worries ya as yo how itll hold up. Data was way snappier and received lte in areas i previously couldn't.
Got mine on the 8th as well. No issues with lag, but my phone does have the small cosmetic scratches in the screen. Any idea if Sprint would do an exchange because of it? Battery has been just ok so far. Wasn't able to make it through the day on light usage without having to throw it on the charger before the end of night. Barely had 2 hours of screen time. Fingerprint scanner works like 75% of the time. Anyone have any tips on how to get the scanner to work more accurately? The phone is absolutely beautiful though.
Sprint shud allow replacements

I went in the Sprint store and they were shocked that I had the phone. First they told me they couldn't do anything because I wasn't supposed to have it... Then after they realized Pre Orders shipped early they just told me to call customer service to request a replacement.
Thats messed up because Sprint customer service told me to go into a store. After all I've been through with them lately i have come to the conclusion that they have absolutely no idea what's going on most of the time.

I use my right thumb and use the center of it with the top of the thumb to the left and bottom on the right. Like \ kind of ha. 99% of the time works. Only thing bugs me after using it is coming from the s4 lack of the menu button :/
Picked it up on launch day
Got the device (white, 64gig) around noon today (eastern), haven't been able to put it down. Screen is amazing, apps download and install from the Google Store in record time (coming from an N5) via wifi or Sprint Spark, speaking of Spark...I am getting coverage in more areas than I was before. Camera is by far the best experience I have had with Android and I am an original G1 owner, wow...we have come so far. Point and shoot is by far a much more fluid and pleasant experience. almost 9 gigs are taken up by system memory. Battery life and speed of charging has been a good experience thus far. Did i mention the screen? :good:
Got my white 32 gb edge yesterday from Best Buy. It looks great and no scratches seen
I did the update and everything seems to be working fine. The battery is great so far but I did notice some lag when something is downloading in the background a bit but nothing too bad. The brightness is being a bit annoying. The softkeys are too bright at night unless battery saver is turned on. The manual brightness is too bright and auto is too dim. Coming from the adaptive brightness from stock lolipop, its a bit disappointing. I love this phone however. The curved screen is fantastic, especially with gallery pictures. Also its ridiculously sharp. Battery is great so far and fast charging is great.
Called customer service...
I called in and they told me to take it to a repair center... They seem very uneducated on the issue. All they have to do is search it up, its very common now and annoying.

Mine takes up 6.7 something on system memeory. Anyone else? Just curious. On a 32gb black
I love my S6 Edge. Wish I could have gotten it in green though and with the news of demand outpacing supply and curved glass production problems I don't ever believe I will ever be able to get it into emergald green. There is already a shortage of the Edge devices which I why I am glad I pre-ordered.
The only other thing is Sprints network. My nexus 6 is on Cricket and I wish I would have ordered it on AT&T and kept my Note 4 on Sprint, or moved my Nexus 6 to Sprint. Hopefully they will roll Spark out here soon and that will address the capacity issues that seem to plague Louisiana.
It's an amazing phone. I love it.
The S6E is my first metal & glass phone and I'm loving it so far. The phone looks great in Gold Platinum and it's really classy & sleek looking.
The performance is great, operation smooth, great feel in hand & easy to use one-handed, and the camera is fabulous.
I'm not bothered by a lack of microSD & removable battery as I thought I would be (probably the Nexus 5 got me used to that).
This is definitely the best phone in the world for me right now.

Eh....
It is up to you. Given how many Edges are floating around with scratched screens it really is a gamble. I have not really heard of any issues with the S6 but there are reports on all carriers of scratched S6E devices. And like any other carrier, Sprint isn't going to keep opening boxes for you, even if they do have them in stock. You could get one where the screen has the scratches on the screen, or in/under the screen. I guess you have to decide if you really could live with that if you do get a defective unit. Some people say they can live with it. Others cannot.

i could probably live with that. my main concern is even with a case and i drop the edge, the curved part of the glass is exposed to potentially get more damage. does it feel like ur gonna drop it at all when u use it?
Not a very good first impression for me since screen rotation was broken out of the box and Samsung support has no clue about whether it's going to be a software fix or not.
I'm very happy with my edge. I would never chage it with a normal one. It is much more beautiful. This is my opinion. And my screen is not scratch and i have very good batery life: 24h batery with 5h SOT or 48h with 2h 30 min SOT.

Essential phone weight theory

A while ago, i saw a post regarding the weight of the essential phone changed from the older devices. when i went to best buy to exchange it, it weighed noticeably heavier than the previous phone i had. also, the last phone had a slippery gloss and had problems. the new one i replaced hasnt given me a problem and im quite happy with it because some usual bugs others experienced.
i dont know what the weight of the last one is, but what i want to make a thread of is have your phone weighed, post the weight and reply with the list of issues and feel of the device. lets see if there theres any theory to this.
so my phone is:
.4lbs or 6.4 oz.
not that slippery compared to the last one
camera works pretty good
doesnt get hot easily, battery life lasts 5-6 hours on screen time
Interesting that phones would have different weights.
6.6 oz on a postal scale. Purchased yesterday, haven't started using it yet.

Was that phone on the scale by itself?

Yes, well, phone, sim card and original plastic film protector things that were on it in the box.
Anyone else?
If I had a way to measure I would, I'm curious. Mine is a white sprint variant and the finish is glossy but I'm not sure what to compare it to, it's not slippery though.
