I just got my moto g today and im wondering what should i use for runtime. dalvik or ART. which one to choosr ?

Depends on the apps that you are using: not all of them are compatible with ART. Also, xposed framework is not compatible with ART.

Use ART if u r on stock rom (not rooted)bcoz its far more smooth n uses less battery as compared to dalvik

All apps r compatible except xposed installer based apps n btw google is droping dalvik from 4.5 lollipop so get use to ART
For me I tried both. Art was faster but it wasn't that much noticeable so I stick with dalvik since I have more free space on that.

I'll change to art then ☺?. I know this isn't relevant to topic but is unlocking boot loader safe to do ? nothing will f*** up if I follow steps?

just changed to art, used up 0.4 GB of my space, didn't think it used up space to use art

Kept pressing ok on the display 4-5 times. Then was able to get to the menu and do the change. But it was still there after that, so did full wipe.

Well. .. I don't have too fast fingers, but at the end I sorted it. In any case there's always hard reset option. I don't mind that as storing everything on Mega and Drive.

There is a pa Google camera zip should be in the gapps thread. You have to have the stock camera on your phone then one from play store will overwrite it.

Please google something like Android recovery TWRP or CWM. It lets you install the .zip from recovery. Turn off phone, hold down "volume -" and press the power button.
This will get you into recovery. Always make a backup BTW before you flash anything. I will not be responsible for bricked devices.
Search recovery here in xda also.
Good luck

Hey folks:
I use MyBackupPro as my maintenance tool. Upgrading to my N5 from my N4 MyBackupPro overwrote the stock launcher, causing OK Google to stop working.
Is there any way to get NOWs listener working again without doing a factory reset and/or installing the Factory Image?
I'm stock, and not rooted.

Two things I'd do:
1) Wait...it could be a legit server error and nothing you can do on your end...
2) Use the wait time to learn how to flash Google framework.

Nothing as far as I can remember, only unchecked the messages thingy in google play store. The one at the top in settings for the app.
You can't do anything as I found out. You just have to wait it out. It's a Google problem not at your end. I just waited for 40 minutes or so and the downloading was possible. There are may users with the same problem

Are you on a deodexed ROM?
Edit: never mind what I said below, as it is incorrect... I must have misunderstood. Sorry for any confusion.
You can't use ART on the stock Verizon rom. They didn't include the runtime - or at least that is what someone reported right after the phone came out.

you need to be 100% odexed.
When I've tried ART in my other devices (note 3, LG G2) it really seemed like a waste of time. Wasn't noticeably faster, and broke things.
