☆☆☆ [Official] M12-ROM - Problems, Q&A ☆☆☆

Hello!
New XDA forum members, who don't have enough posts, they can not take part in the discussion in my thread in development section. So I decided to create a new thread in this section. You can report various issues, ask questions, etc.
I will always try to help, if possible
Soon I'll try to add to this thread some news
Why dont work the output speaker when i use the fm radio?
Sorry for my bad english

Sometimes I get a fc but it is very rare. Also, I found a few framework problems.
Edit: my phone wont let me upload screenshots so I'll do it later.

These aren't problems with the framework, rather only with currently used theme

They definitely are problems with the framework. I have changed themes, then rebooted and they are still the same. Apart from that, the ROM is amazing but i like stock samsung theme better so i went back to stock froyo

Hi,
Anyway to have an azerty keyboard (fr_FR)
I have the same problem than in Kyrillos 10.6, screen rotation is not working after some screen lock...
Best regards
*edit* : I've install Data Monitor, all sensor are not working randomly (all in the same time) I think there's a bug in the kernel, I'm trying to reproduce the issue
*edit* : ok bug is already referenced here : http://code.google.com/p/cm7-i5800/issues/detail?id=91
Another bug plane mode isn't working
*edit* after a reboot it's working again
Graphics won't work !!
I have flashed ROM and it's great and very fast
But, the graphics aren't working in any of the games... many games like stick cricket, Football... just can't make out the screen.
Could you fix this ?? :fingers-crossed:

This is a problem with the OpenFIMG driver. It is incomplete and it's not made by the developer of this ROM. Read the OpenFIMG thread for more detail.
battery problem
I flashed M12ROM v9.3 10 days back and there is serious battery drain if i connect it to the internet the phone switches itself off from 60% of charge. When i switch it on back it shows 50% charge and it is become very difficult to use the phone. Even i calibrated the battery but the same problem exists. I switched back to stock ROM today everything is fine including the battery. I think the problem is when the signal bars change to blue colour when using ICS theme the phone's battery goes down very fast. So can you please sort out the issue as i want to use your ROM as it is very good except the battery problem which I am facing. I also read that it is a problem of the software not reading the battery properly which is a huge problem. I hope this issue is sorted out as fast as you can.
Thank You.
Sorry for my bad english.
Charge your battery full, reboot phone in Recovery - go to advanced - do wipe battery stats - reboot system now.
Try changing the theme - in some other, maybe that's the problem.
I have done battery calibration

I have wiped battery stats before and i found no difference and i have also changed the theme and found no effect. The battery drain is huge when the signal bars also turn the same colour as battery , can you please tell me how to disable the changing colour of the signal bars.
Thank you very much for the reply.

JB ROM for Daily Use (Galaxy Fit)

Need a Stable/Completely working Jelly Bean ROM for my Fit that's suitable for daily use.....
The ROMs I've tried so far include MiniCM10 by The-Superman, CM10 4.1.2,CM10.1.2 JB 4.2.2 by Yajnavalkya, and CM10.1 by Erickas.
All these ROMs I tried were very good but lacked some or the other feature I needed.
Minicm10 was good at battery and performance but is an older version JB 4.1.2
Yajnab's new 4.2.2 is excellent in Performance and extremely Smooth but lacks battery life and needs just quite a bit of resizing (for eg. clock app)....
I was thinking of Lenio vQuattro but I read in the replies that it had a problem with WiFi not working sometimes....
If anyone could suggest a good one I'd really appreciate your help

JB Roms aren't officially supported for our fit. So if you are searching for stable builds, always prefer stock roms or atleast stock based custom roms and even CM7.

I know that our lovely fit hasn't had the luck to get an official one, but I still need a stable/near stable build of JB suitable for my needs.
I am quite bored of the stock Samsung Gingerbread, though I've customized it quite a bit to my liking
Btw which ROM do you use?
If u like customizing and need JB like UI, try jellybread rom. I am using CM10.1.4 by yajnab, its pretty much stable although lags occur.

I tried Jellybread as u said but I'm not quite that satisfied..... my stock deodexed rom worked smoother. Though the cm10 like UI seems nice :good:
Any more suggestions? If u find any ROM based on Cm10 suitable for daily use with an average battery life of more than 18-20 hrs with moderate use, please do suggest me any......
And btw does CM7 not support Link2sd? I tried it on Jellybread but didn't work. Is it a problem with Jellybread or CM7 itself? And does CM10 also not support Link2sd? I know it works with Stock ROMs......
And if nt Link2sd could u suggest any alternatives to it? Thnx in Advance to you fr reading such a long post
Found a great solution
Found a really nice solution to having good battery Life in JB.....
I flashed Yajnab's CM 10.1.4 30-8 build, and flashed alin.p's Badass Kernel.
(You can choose any ROM of ur choice....LOL)
Use 245 MHz - 652 MHz Processor Speed (600 MHz causes ForceClose, as told to me by swat4samp), SmartassH3 or Conservative as Processor Governor and I/O scheduler as SIO.
Getting 20-24 Hours of battery life easily with low-moderate usage (screenshot below )
Remember, Overclocking, Untimely Charging, Heavy Usage, Flashing Custom ROMs frequently (thus losing calibration of ur battery percentage) are the major issues that cause poor battery performance. Take care of your phone and it will take care of you!
Thanks to Yajnab and androidarmv6 dev team for their ROM, swat4samp for being a Huge help, alin.p for his efficient Kernel, u fr reading this post and everyone else I forgot to mention.....
HAPPY FLASHING! :good:

If I may ask .. keyboard typing gestures doesn't work. Have anybody find way how to "enable it" ? (An settings it is enabled although it doesn't work.) I'm sure it is not caused by gapps because I use minimal gapps which excludes keyboard.
Here's some review of RR - everything works just fine 2 days of using only one soft reboot till now (on CM 12.1 every few hours). No BSOD with TZ 4.15 system is stable, multitasking is wonderful (I can't tell about consumption because my baterry stats are corupted after fresh install but it seems comparable with other Lolipops )
Music vizualizer on locked screen doesn't work propertly and after reboot icons get bigger till next reboot when they return to right size. I can only wonder why. GPS once stayed "locked" my position (icon on top) like at CM 12 but reboot fixed it (that day I found about changing icon sizes ).
Anyway than you so much David this ROM is awesome

cm11 lockscreen freeze

So Hi everyone i have installed before 2 hours on my sony xperia l c2015 CM11 from free experia release (its the latest on their site). So the phone is working ok ,no lag in apps etc... , but the lock screen is lagging and very unresponnsible...
When i lock the phone and then press the unlock button it freezes for like 10 seconds, and then shows the home screen like i unlocked it but i have set an unlock password. Even with selected option for "Unlockscreen:None" it freezes. Is that common bug , can it be fixed with Patch,ADB,New kernel etc... Or only i have it. Also another question in YouTube the max resolution is 360 p. ,when the device max is 480p, is that a bug too (i dont mind it but i wonder). So i know i have not to expect the best from this ROMs but this lock screen bug is really annoying. I have tried out the 12.1 but i didnt liked it ,its even more buggy for me.
Well I think the lockscreen bug and youtube showing 360p are common, I had those too. The lockscreen on any 4.4 rom for XL take too much time to wake up, this is an old bug in kitkat kernel according to @SdtBarbarossa but flashing other kernels does not help. The only 4.4 rom that has this bug but happen the least is omni rom from @Olivier (1 or 2 times on my phone). Also on 4.4 battery drain so bad that I moved to cm12.1.

I dont think you should install any 4.4 rom since the development is stopped but many annoying bugs are still there. if you want custom roms then I think cm12/12.1 and their based roms like stryflex or RR are now the best. The only prob with all of these is the low internal storage but can be fix yeah? But best rom for XL I believe is the stock and there are many mods were made for stock. Im on StryFlex LP and happy with the rom.

Yeah quite smooth. I dont install Facebook and Messenger, use chrome for those two. I only need on my phone a browser and youtube so no freezes for me.
Yeah this rom is very good for me2. I also dont use facebook/messanger and it doesnt lag/freeze even when i down clock it to 1026 Mhz to save some battery life. The battery life is acceptable and i dont have lag and stuff for now and the rom is realy beautiful. Thank you @newguyknowsnothing ! Maybe you shoud use the propper cwm/twrp i dont know. Or check the cpu clock speed when i down it to 320 (around that) it just really massively lags. Also if the power saving mod is on it coud lag from that.
I love this ROM
But... I have some issues with audio fx, every time that I reboot my cellphone audio fx crash, and when I plugged my earphones and the I unplugged it seems that I never took it away so I have to change this ROM to 6.0.1 but I don't like that version too much because link2sd doesn't work, can somebody help me?

1. For me is nice enough, with good settings on S8 port Noble ROM and good N0G33K kernel is even about ~6h SoT.
2. Even after underclocked, undervolted and on battery saver mode (medium) is smoothly, fast and nice
Don't understand good but yes it's working and isn't problem xD
4. Newest so just better... Must be
5. After UC and UV phone is really much more colder then before even "in stress", I don't playing so much in games but after "my tweaks" which I wrote in point 2 I had ~75k in AnTuTu Benchmark.
6. Every ROM you can root or not, Xposed also is for Nougat ROM's but for me isn't stable and usable enough yet and not compatible with SafetyNET etc.
Sry for my English. BTW look my signature on what i'm. Check also my posts there are some informations how and what to do.

4. Newest so just better... Must be[emoji14]5. After UC and UV phone is really much more colder then before even "in stress", I don't playing so much in games but after "my tweaks" which I wrote in point 2 I had ~75k in AnTuTu Benchmark.

Yup, I see. thanks bro
many users report that battery charging not up while using n only drain the battery. Now I just wait for xposed to be stable n good daily drive. Otherwise only custom rom is better than stock.

Any bugs... Everything works fine. About camera... For me camera from [email protected] Port Rom is much better then before, after install ZeroCameraMod v3 is reaaaally pro-camera. About battery, with that ROM, kernel etc what you see in my signatures + my own Synapse configuration and for example for now my phone is ~22h in standby with ~3,5h SoT and is ~30% battery yet
