Hi,
I have the feeling the Ringtone volume can be adjusted by using the side buttons.
Is there a way to disable this on the MOTO G?
It frequently turns out that ringtone is lower than expected.
Regards,
Michel

The side buttons have a setting when you press a setting icon is at the end you can change whatever volume you want from there..

A coworker recently purchased a Transformer and I noticed that his on screen keyboard is VERY loud when he types. It's so loud, that it is actually annoying. By comparison, mine is very quiet/subtle. We have compared the volume in apps/videos and they are the same.
Is there a way to adjust the volume of the clicking sound of the on screen keyboard? Is anyone else having this issue?
Thanks
As far as I can tell the Asus Software Keyboard only allows you to disable to sound entirely. You can do that by going to
Settings> Language and Input> Configure Inputs Methods> Asus Keyboard> Settings

I KNOW its pissing me off. it's either on and blasting at 100% or off. Hope they post a fix or also you to set the volume lvl.
The volume rocker broke on it? Mine can lower the volume just fine.
Grab Audiomanager from the market. It enables you to set the volume of many things that aren't exposed in the stock settings.

+1 Thanks
When I'm on a call (regular headset or speaker phone) and I press the volume buttons on the left of the phone, the display shows volume being changed up and down. But the actual call volume remains the same which is always loud.
The volume control buttons work for everything else (ringtone volume, Youtube, music, etc.), but just don't change the volume during calls. If there's a way to fix this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hey all,
I am coming from an EVO 3D which had CyanogenMod 10 with JB 4.2. When I pressed either of the volume rockers, the volume bar would pop up with the option to change all 3 volume settings, ringer/media/alarm.
On my nexus 5, I had to set up a shortcut for Sound Settings in order to change all 3 volumes. Am I missing a shortcut or easier way to adjust all 3 volumes? When I currently press the volume rocker, it only lets me change the volume for the ringer (or media if I'm playing music/games).
Thanks!
In the Settings hit Sound and then Volumes.

Try actually reading the OP before you reply next time.
I really miss this option as well. I know some custom roms on my GS3 used to have an option make that sound bar expandable or always expanded.
troll
Actually, shaneledford understood exactly what I was asking. I was just asking to see if there was a way to enable this volume setting.
Too bad Google didn't catch on to this neat little shortcut.
This issue drives me up the wall. Anyone knows a way to quickly adjust volumes without digging through the settings I would greatly appreciated.

Hi guys, when i click on the return botton or the menu botton i can hear a sound but it's very very low.
Isn't it for you ?
Yes, it's very low here too. i think it's normal...! And i've noticed that the volume of the buttons is linked to the system volume slider..
Raise the volume.
When I switch a call over to the speaker, the volume is extremely loud. The volume slider(s) do nothing! I see the standard slider which can be moved up and down (but does not make any changes to volume), and there is a secondary slider to its left which is faded out and cannot be moved.
1) What is the purpose of this secondary, non-functional slider?
2) How can I gain control of speakerphone volume?
I have the opposite problem. I think the speakers are too soft. Sometimes hard to hear video and music without headphones even on max. Voice calls are ok, but would prefer them a bit louder like I had on other phones.

The way I can adjust speaker volume during a call is by pressing the rocker, then the 3 dots which brings up Sound and vibration menu. There is a menu for call volume which adjusts speaker volume and in-ear volume.

1) I believe that slider is a slider for an Accessibility feature called Switch Access. I had to activate this feature to get my Google Assistant mic-open notification sound to work. I only saw this secondary slider when I set Switch Access up. I never saw it faded out....

2) It seems your slider is not set to call/speaker volume, but ring & notification or media volume. I sometimes get this, but not consistently. You should do as schmeggy929 says and have to specifically set it in the sounds settings menu (3 dots gets you there). Hopefully this bug is addressed...
I found an answer on another site and it worked for me. In the phone app, hit the 3 dots at the top right, go into phone settings, down to "General" then to "Accessibility". Toggle the "hearing aids" on and off......that worked for me.
Hope this helps someone.
