Hi.
I have a problem with my Sony Xperia Tipo. I have CM10 and I downloaded rom based on it. Everything went ok, but this rom needed storage fix. I've changed file that was needed for this in Root Explorer (because some people said that doing that in CWM isn't working), so I have done that. After that, when I wanted to restart the phone the phone restarted itself. After few restarts I've seen that my phone is bootlooped. I pasted rom zip on my micro SD card with computer and a reader and I did factory reset and formated /system. After this I've seen that CWM can't read the external_sd, probably because of some problems with this before. I want to send this file through ADB, but I haven't unlocked USB debugging yet. What should I do? I have CWM, now useless ADB, unlocked bootloader and formated system ;_; Sorry for my english.
I'd say flash an FTF, or flash the CM10 ZIP again. You should be good.
Thanks Flashed ftf with flashtool and it is working right now.
//EDIT
Don't close mod.
Phone still don't see external SD. What should I do?
//EDIT 2
All right, restarted the phone and now it see a ext SD.

Hi i have my asus transformer and i flashed twrp 2.2.1 touch for it. I was having trouble clearing data and formatting it. I had a rom Revolution hd on the internal sd. so i flashed clockwork mod latest and rebooted to recovery. i cleared data skipping /data/media for the internal sd card. then when i went to try to flash revolution hd it appeared as if the internal sd was wiped. i checked everything and it appears as twrp did clear data but still just kept saying fail. mow im stuck with clockwork which only reads internal sd and no boot cuz it got formatted by twrp too. i have tried adb and nv flash etc but cant get any working. my computer doesnt recognize my transformer for nothing. im on WINDOWS 7 ultimate 64 bit. i have tried mostly every possible fix but doesnt work. i have also tried download mode but no luck. IM THINKING LINUX MAY BE THE WAY TO GO??? ANY SUGGESTIONS???
Had you taken backup of current ROM ? Do you have external SD card ? In my case, all the backup from CWM recovery is kept in external SD card only. Otherwise, you can try to MOUNT the SD card from recovery, I think it is in advanced option. If you are able to MOUNT, then you can copy the ROM and flash it again.
If you can get APX mode working (holding vol up,down and power at same time at boot) and your computer recognizes it, give whitekidneys EasyFlasher a go (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688012) to get TWRP back on, then restore back ups etc as gurung_vishwas1 said they are located on the external sd card. try updating TWRP to the latest version also

im on ClockworkMod Recovery v5.5.0.4 roach-tf101-r2 i dont see an option to mount the sd card. Yes i had a backup too but it got wiped off when twrp wiped data but kept saying fail. I think it was just a bad flash of twrp.

Thing of Doom will be able to help you much better then i can. The only thing i can think of is to install asus sync, which i belive comes with all the required drivers. Or you could try the universal naked driver (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1514942) but i havn't used it so i dont know if it will work for your situatio.
I tried to install drumlock app and my phone restarted and went into the recovery. I can't mount the sd card either to flash the rom again. I dont have anything backed up. I am really lost and need someone's guidance.
I had the same issue one time what I did is I mounted the phone as a USB drive (don't know if it works with CWM, if not just flash TWRP recovery) and formated the SD card (when I mounted it Windows asked to format the SD card; Format in FAT32!). As you can imagine all data from the SD will be lost but your SD card is mounted again and you should be able to boot again. If booting still doesn't work try putting a ROM on the SD via mount as USB drive function and try to flash it. It should work.
worked but another problem happened :[

Thanks for that advice. Everything worked. I formatted the cd card and it is now seen in TWRP where I installed the viper one s rom. BUT! Now my phone just keeps on restarting - it shows the htc logo with a red banner under it and just restarts and does it all over again. I can get into boorloader mode If i get lucky pressing it before it restarts, yet the bootloader wont let me get into recovery. I am going to try other methods I guess but I am wondering if there is a way just to use RUU and restore it to stock?

You must've done something to your recovery when you formatted your sdcard. Try flashing TWRP again. You can easily bring your device back to stock by running the RUU. Info can be found around the forum.
Relock bootloader and run a official HTC RUU (warning: itll update hboot).
what worked but now its stuck

I tried that method and flashed utb rom and when i restarted it its stuck on the loading screen...so i tried the different viper one s rom and nothing either. After i locked it i tried the RUU but it gives me the error 150 ...Im on the right track I know...its probably something minor that I keep on overlooking.
gives me error 150

I also tried this method but it brings up the error 150. Could this be the recovery that is causing it ?
So you can't even get into recovery even if you flash it over fastboot?

Hi,
I had been trying to fix the touchscreen calibration problem on my sister's Xperia J (TIM branded) by flashing another ROM/Firmware.
I flashed "st26i_11.2.A.0.31 Kernel By [email protected]_Central Europe.ftf" using flashtool by mistake before I installed Clockworkmod itself. I copied the Darkmoon AVD ROM (Ref : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2309415) to the external card . I booted into Clockworkmod and took a backup of the stock ROM, then as I checked to see if I could see the ROM in the "install zip from sdcard" option, I could not find it since it was reading the internal storage instead of the external sd card. Then I rebooted the phone to check if I could transfer the ROM to internal storage but now I am unable to boot up the phone and nothing happens. The screen remains blank (though the backlight is visible).
I need urgent help to fix this. Please help.
PS : Bootloader unlocked.
PPS : Probably wrong thread. Mods please move if needed

You got bootloop, simply there is no rom to boot, what is more kernels with CWM are from CM which is not compatible with stock rom. Try to flash 11.2.A.0.31.ftf clean using flashtool, there might be need to remove battery to avoid booting and again get bootloop.
P.S I did even worse thing when I starting to play with android (I've flashed kernel from Arc S)
I feel dumb. But I flashed the kernel.sin from http://www.4shared.com/folder/25Mb7Dws/Xperia_J.html and it booted normally.
i switch off my phone it takes longer time to switch off so i suddenly remove my battery and reinsert it and after i power on it so simply sony logo what can i do for that
Earlier today I was trying to Root my Sony Xperia M2, I unlocked bootloader (althought it reset my device?), and then I flashed my Xperia into CWM. I then realised I didn't put the ZIP package I needed onto my SD card so I tried to exit the recovery, it didn't allow me and this is when the bootloop started.
I wiped everything, Cache & Factory reset, meaning I probably don't have an OS, I've tried to use 3 different ZIPs and like 30 different tutorials to get out of this..
Everytime I use a ZIP file it, the CWM recovery mode, and normal recovery mode, says E:\ Cannot find Key (After it looks for a key folder in the ZIP). I'm sorry for being a n00b, but I really need help
If any of you guys could help, I would really appreciate. What I think I need is, is a ZIP file that I can actually install, but you guys are the Experts. Thanks.
Fixed
I fixed the problem, but now it's a different model number than what it originally was.
Wow this thing sucks! I'm really appreciating my Samsung with Odin right now! So, I have years of experience rooting and flashing Samsung phones with minimal adb experience. My buddy from work asks me if I can try to fix his shield tab that he F'd up trying to flash a rom on. Come to find out he never unlocked the bootloader or flashed a recovery or rooted the dang thing, just tried to flash the rom over stock like a numbskull. We thought it was dead forever because the only thing that would mount or connect in adb was the side load through the stock recovery. So, I finally got it to connect to fastboot (don't ask me how, I don't know), unlocked the bootloader, and flashed twrp. Now it won't flash supersu in adb sideload, so I put it on an SD card (which now magically mounts and works now) and flashed the zip in recovery but it says at the very end of the process while trying to update the partitions that it can't mount the data and system partitions so I'm not sure if I'm actually getting root or not and if so if it's permanent even though it says "success" at the top after flashing. I have no way to tell. I think this is because they have been accidentally wiped. Do you think it is safe to try to flash a rom in recovery from external sd card? And if so, which one? I have no idea which version bootloader, kernel, or os is, or was, on this device, I'm not familiar with any of the roms for it, and I'm not sure what prerequisites there may be for some of them....
Thanks for the help!

I had the same Problem with the partitions you discribed, have tried wipe them, change the file format and change it back?
I flashed a lot of Roms from the external SD Card and it worked every time.
I think you should go with Bliss Rom. ( Just try Lollipop and Marshmallow)

I can't wipe them because they won't mount. It's as if the partitions were erased completely. Not like the partitions were wiped, but like they don't exist at all anymore...
What do you mean by changing the file format? Format of what?

TWRP, wipe ,Advanced wipe
If that doesn't work just try installing a rom, boot it
If that doesn't work try this
Tried all recovery options and tried flashing bliss 6.2 with no luck. It says that it flashes successfully but also shows some errors about not being able to mount the system and data partitions. Then when I try to reboot it gets stuck at the nvidia logo (this is the closest that I've gotten to booting a rom). I can provide pictures if you want. I'm going to try the steps that you linked to as soon as the files download.
