yet, i have set the apk packname to "com.monotype.android.font.mysamsungfont",
and placed the mysamsungfont.ttf mysamsungfont.xml file properly in assets/,
and i have sign my keystore.
( i tried to sign so call testkey.pk8 testkey.x509.pem to my apk, but it alert the same error )
do i have to sign a special key store to my font apk??
(PS: i can use iFont to force to select my font.apk in Root mode, but i cant select the font in settings... )
But i don't want to use it in Root mode.
Help me, pls...

It doesn't matter if you built font package correct or not. Samsung has predefined list of font provider and names of fonts. Everything else will produce "Unsupported font" message. You need to patch SecSettings to allow to use any font package.

KD-Font contains 135 fonts (!) at the moment. If you need a specific font, you can ask the developer to add it.
Sincerely,
Mac
ok i did the kd font and whenever i go to apply the font it 2 things load and then i get an error message saying it cannot apply the font

KD-Font works fine for me (and for lots of others too...). If you have trouble with it, head over to the KD-Font thread and post your questions there. For example: it might help if you're a bit more specific about the issue, as this info makes it very hard to help you.
Sincerely,
Mac
ok give me a second i will send u the error message.... sorry about that
here is the error message i am getting .... AN ERROR OCCURRED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO APPLY THE WM AND SENSE FONTS . PLEAS TRY AGAIN .
Thats the message i keep getting no matter which font i choose

I don't mean to be rude, but... which part of the above was unclear to you? I'm a just a user too...
Sincerly,
Mac
Sorry for Off-Topic, but does someone know the name of the font in this screenshot?

[FONT] Comfortaa 1.003 font for Inspire

Comfortaa 1.003 was my favorite font on the Captivate. Here's a way you can get it on your Inspire:
Download Comfortaa.
Copy it to the root of your SD card
Downgrade Clockwork Mod to oldest version (ROM Manager --> "All ClockworkMod Recoveries" --> "2.5.1.3")
Flash the zip and reboot.
Voila, you now have one of the sexiest fonts ever. The CWM downgrade is necessary because it won't flash otherwise. You can return it to the newest version afterwards.

Out of curiousity, is there a walkthrough you can post on how to make a flashable zip for any font that someone may want to put on their Inspire. I have a few fonts that I like and would like to do this for them....
Thanks ahead of time!
Looks great, thanks.

Glad you like it. I've tried at least 5 different fonts on my Inspire and keep coming back to this one.
Thanks for sharing this. I'm really digging this font!
If you are rooted, you can download an app called "font changer" from the market and change the fonts whenever you feel like it. Just drop the .ttf file in the .fontchanger folder in your sdcard. The app will reboot for you and viola! new font.
*I email the .ttf file and move it to that folder with root explorer.
Is there any easy way to switch back to the stock font?
My question is this. Is there a way to change the font of the phone that I have purchased without the root?

[How to] change fonts on SGT

So I received a few Pm's asking me how to change the fonts, so I'm going to post a how to thread.
1) I'm not responsible bla, bla,
2) I'm not taking a credit for this, I'm just sharing how to do it.
Requirements:
Must be rooted
Root Explore or Astro
Desire fonts
1) surf the net for any fonts.
here's a good start point.
Font Collection
2) go to setting / Display setting / Font Style and select "Rosemary" for now.
3) go to: /system/fonts and copy DroidSans-Bold & DroidSans and save them
(incase you want to back to stock)
4) download desire fonts package to SDcard and MAKE sure the file names are (DroidSans-Bold.ttf & DroidSans.ttf)
5) Paste the 2 files to /System/Fonts (using Root Explore or Astro)
6) exit and reboot SGT.
7) go to Setting / Display Setting / Font Style and NOW select Default Fonts
Done. and enjoy.
I hope this helps.
I'm Using Sony Fonts here's the link: Sony
the files are already named properly.
here are some screen shots

I just applied the tr2n font from dafont using font changer free and it looks awesome. I had just assumed coming from iOS that swapping fonts would be difficult...glad to know I was wrong!

Its working fine.
Giving and getting Thanks is same...
Why would a note application like this need permissions to send SMS?....
Tapped out on my RootBox'd GT-N7k
Working fine here, copied to PRELOAD and Symlinked to System.
So where to paste the apk whether in system/app or preload

paste it to system/app if you have space.
otherwise, if pasted to preload you'll have to symlink it.

I'm pretty sure you don't need this permission to share something via SMS, sharing uses the systems native application or available app for the task requested

does it have a widget ( like old smemo on ics ) ?
thanks

yes

Thanks for this app mate. I have repacked it for users wanting to flash to preload (to save space in system). This also includes script for symlinks.
Get it HERE and flash in cwm recovery.

[GUIDE][TUT] Changing per App Font using APKTool (Hike)

Hello, Guys.
So, this thread is basically about changing per app font.
Now you might be thinking why we need to do that?
Well, I've tried changing system fonts using apps like iFonts and also using flashable zips but some Apps like Hike doesn't change the font. It is always Roboto.
The reason for being is that they have fonts embedded in their APK itself.
So, I found a way to change the font on Per App Basis

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
REQUIREMENTS:
1. APKTool
2. App to Change Font (considering HIKE in this case)
3. A New Font
4. Patience
STEPS TO FOLLOW :-
1. Go to root/data/app/com.bsb.hike-2 (or the app for which you want to change the font).
2. Copy the base.apk to your PC, so that you dont have any problems with the versions of the app.
3. Decompile base.apk using APKTool.
4. Go to base.apk/assets/fonts.
5. You'll see some Fonts there with names like Roboto-Bold, Roboto-Regular, Roboto-Light etc.
6. Now Rename your new font (Helvetica in this case) with same names like Helvetica Regular to Roboto-Regular or Helvetica Bold to Roboto-Regular. Make sure you rename them with the same names as present in assets folder.
7. Now replace the fonts in assets folder with the new fonts (the font which we have renamed). Also, make sure the number of fonts before and after replacing in the assets folder are same.
8. Recompile the apk using Apktool.
9. Install and Enjoy.
DO NOT HESITATE TO PRESS THE THANKS BUTTON. :good:
Cant change the font
Please help.mee to chng i am unable to do it..
Thanks regards..
APKtool wont run for me at all. Ah balls. Ill sort something out. Thanks for the instructions.
