I'm looking to get a new micro sd card, as my 8gb is out of room and frequently unmounts or goes read-only on my mobile. Im wondering where to get one and what kind of 16gb sd card I should get as after looking on ebay its a bit hard to tell what is fake and what isnt and I dont know any other stores that sell them..
Preferably class4+ and size 16gb
I live in australia by the way..
There is a guy selling some in the market here for $20, legit.
But I think there class 4 cards.
And this is the one thing that I wouldn't trust ebay with because there are so many fakes.

Wow nice, if only I lived in canada...
Do you know of a legitimate online store that sells them? I remember a thread that had good quality ones but I forgot the name of it and at the time they were out of stock..
Actually the guy selling them lives in the states.
Hi,
I had the same problem with the sporadically unmounts (sometimes several times a day) so I decided to buy a different card. I bought a class 4 Kingston 16GB sdhc on eBay. I paid in Germany about 29 Euro for it.
Now there are no more problems with the storage. I hope I could help you.

I've just ordered Patriot 16gb Class 10 through Amazon, it costs 30++ USD without shipping (considered very cheap for class 10 and it has quite a good review from users).

Using Sandisk 16GB, class 4 now. What is the cluster size I should be using to format the card?

I'm using the same and am totally satisfied with it. Nice speed and reliable so far.
I got a Kingmax Micro SD TF Card 16GB Class 10 for $80 SGD.
Seems to be quite fast:
Write: 11+ MB/s
Read: 115+ MB/s

I'm using a Kingston 16GB class 4 card bought from Amazon, in my honest opinion I think that class 10 is much of a muchness and the price difference can be vast.
I would not buy from Ebay, chances of getting a fake is much higher here, rather use Amazon or some other reputable seller.
What is the cluster size did you format.
I got a few off ebay. They start low, around 1$ and go up, i got one for 11$ before.
i SO need to get me a bigger sd card!
Which is the best micro sdhc 32gb card out there for the price? I am looking at the sandisk 32gig on Amazon for £33 delivered.
Any suggestions?
SanDisk are about to release their "Mobile Ultra" cards. I pre-ordered a 32GB off amazon from £50 (including free postage) last week. They go back to £80+ on release though.
The cards are class 6 and look good.
You should check them out
"Sandisk Mobile Ultra microSDHC"
SanDisk... I too prefer it. It is best...

Looks like they are sold out... : (
I really wish this was in stock. I would have bought like 20 of them and flipped them on eBay!
im not so keen abour unbranded micro sd's
There is a good deal on ncix, sandisk 32gb class 10 for 44$ + a 20$ rebate sor 24$ but the deal was until feb 1st
Looks to good to be true.
Looks to good to be true! Don't forget that micro SD can be easily counterfeited, it can be a 4-8 GB with the code changed to 32GB so our phones or any other device reads 32GB but is not! They can also change labels... guys be very careful when buying micro SD cards.
A 32GB class 10 OEM is no less than $60 average.

Does anyone know what is the best external SD card for the Skyrocket? Samsung, SanDisk, Kingston, etc.? Is it worth the money to get a microSDHC card instead of a normal microSD? What is a reasonable price?
Thanks!
sdhc just means it's more then 2GB. if you want a good sd card go for class 10. the class is a grouping of how fast it is for reads and writes but not all class 10 cards are the same some are way faster then others. some people are huge fans of some brands I don't care that much as you still have no idea for some of the brands as to who made the chip.
I just got a 32GB microSDHC Full HD Class 10 SAMSUNG for 53.49 free shipping from a trusted seller in Ebay. I just got it tonight and it works amazing! it comes sealed in retail package and it has warranty.
If you are interested i can send you a link.
Thanks for the replays. I just got a Samsung 16gb microSDHC class 10 plus with SD adapter for 30 bucks at Fry's in Indy. I will see how it goes.

i was thinking about getting a 16 gb sd card i found this card on ebay and was wondering if anyone can tell me if it would work with the phone as well if it was good. thank you

It should work. But honestly, get the Amazon Basics Class 10 16GB microSD card. Faster and just as reliable. If it is available in your country that is.

It looks like a good deal for me. It will work well for the phone and it is good if it's not a counterfeited one. Sandisk MicroSD are known to be counterfeited a lot, especially on eBay.
Btw, you don't need a class 10 card. For whatever you do with your phone, you don't need to write in 10MB/s. 1080p video from the G2, for example, has a bit rate of only 2.5MB/s.
edit: I found the same microSD, sold by the same merchant, and cheaper at Amazon UK

The cheapest seller (currently Onebo, selling at £15) has only a 3.5/5 star rating, only 25% positive review. Some of the buyers complain that the microSD doesn't even have a Sandisk logo. I am not quite sure you want to buy from this seller.
I really recommend clicking the "63 new" line, them scroll down choosing Amazon UK as a seller. It's more expensive, but you're sure that you don't buy a fake card.
Regarding 64GB and class 10, it's totally your choice. 64 GB sure can store lots of stuff, and you can copy (from the computer) to the card quite fast.
In the other hand, 64GB class 10 card is about 3-4 times more expensive than the 32GB class 4 counter part. Not the most cost efficient option. In additional, the phone won't be able to utilize the class 10 bandwidth in most of your daily activities.
Edit: I bought a 32GB class 4 Kingston for HTC Vision, at $30 (around £15) shipped and sold by Amazon.com

I usually buy all my memory cards from play.com
Used to be fast shipping but not anymore.
I've had so many phones in the past, but all the memory cards i have bought from here always works (i recommend you choose the sandisk cards)

The only two manufacturers that make 64GB cards are Kingmax (who built the card in the first place) and SanDisk (who doesn't make anything above a Class 6), and neither cards are Class 10. I'm actually pretty pleased with the 64GB card in my Doubleshot.
I just got one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00569J5E2/ref=ox_ya_os_product
Samsung 16GB class 10 for £17.
4EXT backs up 3 times quicker than the supplied Samsung 8GB class 2,
GTA3 1.1 is a bit smoother when driving quickly
It appears the UI and system apps that touch the SD are a bit more snappy. ie, gallery.
They do a 32GB bit I think the max speeds are a bit lower.

About dealextreme: buying from that site is pretty much a hit-and-miss. I have actually bought a lot of stuff from there. They're cheap, but also terribly slow at shipping. They also don't usually have goods in stock, and they backorder from the suppliers. NEVER buy there if you are in hurry, never.
Especially about memory cards, you never know if you're gonna get a genuine or a fake item. They just seem to ship whatever they have in stock. You might be lucky or not
Just buy from Amazon if you can. I have bought a Samsung 16GB class 10 for my Desire Z for 20€, and the increase in speed while loading the gallery is noticeable.

The code is MB-MPAGAEU
On Amazon.it is right now in offer at 17.40€. That's insanely cheap, IMHO.
