ClockWorkMod Recovery v6.0.4.9 for DROID RAZR HD/M
This is ONLY for users that have upgraded to stock KitKat
You must have an unlocked bootloader to use custom recovery
Download: CWM6049-RAZR-HD_M-KITKAT.img
To install you must have fastboot set up on your pc and then:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery CWM6049-RAZR-HD_M-KITKAT.img
You can then flash the root package of your choice.

Well look at it this way, i'm on the AHD. I just flashed this to my device and it works. So what does that tell you since we are part of the msm8960 family? Its compatible.

I know at least the AHD and RHD have about a 10MB recovery size, thats how i knew it probably would work. I'd say yours is about the same size too since it is part of the same family.

I had another M user confirmed it works but when I fastboot it says OK but still goes to stock recovery

@dhacker29 - You the man. Been a follower of your work for a while now. Thanks for the CWM update. Personally I'm a TWRP guy so can't wait until the kernel source is released to get a TWRP version for the stock 4.4.2 on XT926's.

Mine comes with the JRO03S, thats one of the reason I can't use "backup/restore" in the N7 toolkits...
not sure wat is the difference.

Why you can't? I have JRO03S onboard and before to unlock and root the tablet I'd like to use backup feature in N7 Toolkit!

You would need to flash a custom recovery first such as clockworkmod, so it needs to be unlocked. The easiest way to do it for most people will be using this:

Honest question for anyone who's smart enough to flash ROMs... why would you ever take the AT&T OTA over what you have from the ROM community? I understand for those who don't want to ROM for whatever reason, but for those who do... AT&T's 4.1 is already going to be behind what we have now, most likely, and certainly won't have the enhancements....

I'm mostly interested in the fact it gives our community another base to develop off of, as well as the possibility of a new radio. Never hurts to have options!

Yeah I know lol. Hope I didn't sound like I needed it. I'm running clean rom just fine. It's similar to what they did to the captivate's official gingerbread update -- it took forever and it wasn't that much of an update compared to what the devs already accomplished with cm7

ok so i finally decided to unlock the bootloader via sunshine app, it all went successfully even though the phone didnt restart itself, i had to manually restart it. i am right now on 4.4.4 rooted with 4.4 safestrap recovery. anything you guys recommend me doing as far as the goodies... like new custom rom, kernels etc? first time i unlock a bootloader so just gathering some ideas of where to start tinkering.

Ditch safestrap and get twrp recovery. Then run @Topsnake's snake venom rom.

ended up flashing this version twrp-2.6.3.1-ghost-4.4 and it went thru fine... i have trwp installed successfully. now on to topsnakes goodies xD
