i have a little problem with my Sensation. When i update my phone with the PG58IMG.zip in the bootloader, the update aborts after scanning for an update. What can i do? I am S-ON and HTCdev unlocked with the firmware v3.33.

if the PG58IMG.zip is firmware then ..it wont work ..as firmware update via PG58IMG.zip file format while being SON is not possible
the only thing that you can install via PG58IMG.zip while being SON is only recovery ...and stock formatted rom (system, data and boot in img format)
now if normal parsing is not recognizing it
then you can do it via fastboot
copy the PG zip file to your adb/fastboot folder of pc ..and connect the device to pc from bootloader
open command prompt from the adb/fastboot folder
then these commands one by one
fastboot erase cache (if failed ignore it )
fastboot oem rebootRUU (black screen with silver HTC)
fastboot flash zip PG58IMG.zip (this flashes the stuff inside zip)
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Would this work also when i want to update the radio with such a zip?

Found a thread about eng boot

It says it's also appropriate for the x920d. Someone tried it already?
I will give it a try tonight and see what happens ...
<<< S-OFF IS MANDATORY >>>
Ok guys ... Worked for me. I made a zip file for easy flashing.
Only then I managed to flash a new splash1
Just do in bootloader
1) fastboot oem rebootRUU
2) fastboot erase cache
3) fastboot flash zip "PL99IMG - engBoot.zip"
4) fastboot reboot
Et voilá ... hBOOT 1.39, no annoying "TAMPERED" Message, and a few more options while in bootloader menu ...

Dear
My Devise S-On If Work possible
Modifying or replacing your device's software may void your device's warranty, lead to data loss, financial loss, security breaches, or other damage, and therefore must be done entirely at your own risk.

On this post we will learn to update to firmware v5.18.502.
First you must be Bootloader unlocked & S-OFF.
Updating to firmware v5.18.502.1 for AT&T devices.
You must be S-OFF to follow these instructions!
Download evita_firmware_5.18.502.1.zip. [androidfilehost.com/?fid=23622183712472936] ( I am a Junior Member so i am not allowed to give outside link in the post so just copy and paste it in url).
copy evita_firmware_5.18.502.1.zip to fastboot directory.
Reboot the device to HBOOT:
Code:
adb reboot-bootloader
Wait until your device boot to Bootloader.
Enter the OEM update mode:
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
Wait until HTC logo appears in black background.
Flash the firmware package.
Code:
fastboot flash zip evita_firmware_5.18.502.1.zip
You will see a FAILED message: [remote: 90 hboot pre-update! please flush image again immediately]. Do not be alarmed. Wait a few seconds for the HTC logo to reappear on your device, then run the same command again:
Code:
fastboot flash zip evita_firmware_5.18.502.1.zip
Wait for the process to finish.
reboot device
Code:
fastboot reboot
Now your frimware is updated to 5.18.502.1, HBOOT to 2.1800000. So now you can flash CyanogenMod 12/12.1/13 to your device.

Place the zip in your fastboot/adb directory on your computer.
Put the device in fastboot mode
(Volume down and power until menu appears, select fastboot using power button)
Connect the device to the computer
Enter the following commands from terminal/command prompt in the fastboot directory, one at a time:
fastboot oem rebootRUU (this puts the device in RUU mode)
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip (rename file to firmware.zip to make it simple/optional)
It will say that the update did not finish, to flush again, so repeat the above step:
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
Quote:
Important: the flash process halts at around 75% to 90% on phone screen! This is normal and a safety precaution!
The last few percent is the reboot, which is NOT happening automatically, so you get a chance to check the console output before reboot to make sure it is safe to reboot!
The bar will only fill up to 100% once you type the following command:
fastboot reboot-bootloader (this reboots the device to bootloader)
That's it, you're done. You can now reboot and will be running the latest firmware and radios.
