Well I don't know if this is relevant but I have a problem with apex and I can't figure out how to fix it... It's that the home screens have a different transparency than the nav bar

I love the tablet ui mods that have been made possible by these wonderful devs. But most of these mods are only useable by stock Roms. Roms that are heavily modified can cause interference, lag, and system fc's. Those roms happen to be the ones I like most. Smh. So why not have a home replacement app that mimics the tablet ui mod. Tablet ui works for me because the notifications bar it's at the bottom. And I'm using a sg note2 and it is more easily accessible from the bottom. So why not have a home replacement app with its own notifications bar that can be customized to be placed at the top out bottom, and can be switched to phablet mode as well, and resizable grid.

So can we place the notifications bar at the bottom like in the tablet ui?

What is your phone? AOSPA ROM is really stable. Or alternatively, use apex AND lmt launcher. Lmt should provide you with something similar to a tablet UI while apex will let you hide everything else.
Edit: Not familiar with your phone but my advice still stands

So sometimes my stock launcher glitches. Found it happens in cataclysm and stock ROM. What happens is randomly the rows turn to 6 instead of five so its closer together and more icons per page.
It fixes itself upon reboot but is there anyway to fix it otherwise without rebooting?

Do you really like the stock launcher? Nova has many more features and customizations.

I have nova and prime but don't use it. Yes I like the stock launcher more just for the OK Google.

That sounds weird. You could try to reset GEL (stock launcher) by deleting its app data. Settings -> Apps. Search the launcher and delete data and cache
Like the title is there a way to make the status bar completely transparent?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
If I'm not mistaken the beta version of apex launcher allows fully* transparent statusbar.
But it is fully transparent its just the shadows that make it less transparent. Use Nova Launcher if you don't like shadows.
I was looking for something that takes away the shadow in the status bar. I'm currently using nova and the shadows are there

Yea I'm using Nova launcher too and I have the option to remove the shadow from status bar. I'm not sure if the free version has it. Which one are you using?
Do you mean the shadow option in home screen options?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
There is an unremovable shadow built-in to the N5 GUI that is separate from the optional shadow feature of 3rd-party launchers such as Nova and Apex.
But is there a mod or ROM that allows full transparency?

I wish.
I have Xposed, but can't for the life of me find out how (if possible) to make the nav and status bars transparent. I've looked all over. Found it only on a module meant for Xperia. Does it not exist for us?
Thanks,
Gods

There is one and if you search the nexus 5 Q&A or themes and apps section, you'll find it

The transparent bottom and top are launcher specific. Most of the launchers are going to it now. If that is what you are asking? Otherwise it would look funny for the top and bottom to be transparent when in an app

Thanks for the replies. As I've said I've looked around a lot. Otherwise I wouldn't be posting.
I do mean in-app. I get it in the launcher.
Thanks

Apps have to enable transparency themselves, it is possible, and I think it would be a nice touch for Facebook, etc. Project hera and 4.5/5.0 is coming up so just wait and see what happens.
For now, there is no way to make in app status and navbar transparent.

Nice touch. I wish more apps used translucent decor and transparency. If the status bar changed colors as project Hera says, and navbar stays transparent, that be nice.

I have this too. If you use a wider wallpaper (one that scrolls) it will solve this problem.
